Mandala Card

Charity here from Scrappin' Chaos.
Today I have a card decorated with the ancient art form of Mandalas. I used paper doilies, and Stickles, and an assortment of Love My Tapes washi for the repeating patterns.
~ Congratulations ~
I trimmed each strip of washi length wise to fit my design.  I carefully measured and marked my paper to place the wheel and corner tape. I also laid the central strips of washi on wax paper and cut the center circle.
Check my blog Scrappin Chaos for a list of supplies as well as a Mandala tutorial.

I started with a white base, added some fun patterned paper and then used this awesome brick tape to create a base for my sentiment.

I continued with it on the inside and then added a bit of this fun Heart Forest tape.

Live, Love and Enjoy Life!

Welcome Washi Tape fans!
Susie here to share an all occasion card with an elegant black & white color scheme and a sentiment that I have come to embrace in my everyday life.

The washi tape that I used on this card may be found in the Love My Tapes Etsy store.
Wide Black and White Music Note Butterfly washi tape
I started by covering white cardstock with strips of the washi tape.
I cut it to size and rounded the corners before adding a crisp white doily.

The sentiment is from a set of clear stamps from Kaisercraft, which I stamped and heat embossed with black embossing powder.

I trimmed out the sentiment, inked the edges and adhered it to the front of the card, using foam tape adhesive to pop up the word "and" for a little dimension.  Finally I adhered the finished panel onto a black card and rounded the corners of it as well!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play (with washi tape) today!

Hello Kitty Charm

Hi, it's Candy Spiegel with cute little Hello Kitty card.

Fans of Hello Kitty will be happy to know that Love My Tapes offers a washi tape just for them! I used it to make both the card and the charm.

First, create a card base and adhere washi tape to the front. I alternated my tapes. I tape it onto the desk to keep it straight and easier to work with. Then, just trim off the excess.

I added a bit of ribbon and hid a Glue Dot under the knot to help hold it in place.

I used a rectangular pendant and cut the washi tape down to fit inside. Then I coated it with Glastique (Crystal Lacquer, Diamond Glaze or Glossy Accents will work, too) and let it dry.

Then looped it through a jump ring and attached it to the pin.

The charm is adorable and I love how the card turned out ... what do you think?

Celebrate card w/ Ange Weisbeck

Hi!
Ange here today with a super fun almost ALL Love My Tapes card!

I started with a white cardstock base, then added the awesome Happy Birthday tape. After that I layered the rest of the card with this cool Black Diamond tape. The design didn't quite match up if I layered one above the other so I just overlapped them a bit to make it flow.

Then I added a few strips of the Chalkboard Numbers, but cut out the blank black space between number sets. Next I added my sentiment and decided it needed a little help popping, so I used the Red Chevron tape to get the job done.

It's fun to punch through cards so you can see a bit of the inside from the front and with this bold color scheme I thought a bit of orange showing through would look good.

You can get these cool tapes in the store!

Just Because

Happy Saturday!

I hope your weekend is off to a great start!
Stacey here to show you a really simple card that uses some of that bright and fun
Lime with Polka Dots tape from Love My Tapes.

Here is a look at my card that I created:

I thought the tape coordinated so well with the polka dots on the stamp image so I decided to color the kite the same fun green. My card was so simple to put together, gotta love that! I simply laid down two strips of the washi and then ran a piece of ribbon down the middle and then adhered that to my card base. I popped up my image piece with some foam adhesive for a little added dimension.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

I hope you have a great crafty day!

Washi tape as patterned paper

Hello Love My Tapes fans! This is Maya and today I am sharing a card I made using washi tapes as patterned paper.

I added two rows of  rose floral washi tape and vintage wide tape  between them.

I cut the flowers from white carstock and misted them with Glimmer Mist in Valentine Pink and Mr. Hueye's in Mary Mary.

I cut the leaves from a small piece of rose floral tape adhered to white cardstock.

Pretty card with minimal supplies. Thank you for stopping by today! You can find the tapes I used and many more in Love My Tapes etsy store!

The washi tape I used on this card may be found in the LoveMyTapes  Etsy store.
Red Dot Mushroom washi tape
I stamped and colored this cute little image onto white cardstock...

...then added a strip of washi tape across the bottom.  It couldn't be simpler!
The red dot mushrooms on a light blue background provided the color inspiration for the little lady!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play (with washi tape) today!

You Light Up The Room

Charity from Scrappin' Chaos sharing a cheery card that uses washi in two different ways.
~ You Light Up The Room ~
I used washi tape to define the edge of my circle frame for this card.
First I layered the washi onto vellum, then I cut a 3.5" circle.
I adhered that to the card and cut a 2.5" circle from the center, through the washi, vellum, and card front. Finally I punched the edges of the circle with a Kreaxions punch.
For the flower at the center I backed 20" of washi tape with an identical pattern then made a ribbon rose.
These are the tapes that I used:

CAS Graduation Card with Susie

Hello Washi Tape Fans!
Susie here today to share a CAS (Clean And Simple) graduation card!

I love the graduation cards that Ange shared yesterday and thought I would share one of my own today.  This time of year it is really handy to have a few graduation cards around the house.

The tape I used for this card may be found in the Love My Tapes Etsy Store:
Purple Gold Star washi tape

I am loving the CAS style because it is so fast!
This card was created with a stamped sentiment, die cut and embossed stars, baby bling from Want2Scrap and this fun washi tape littered with gold metallic stars!

Here is another angle where you can see I "popped" up one of the small stars.
I love a little dimension, don't you?

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find sometime to play (with washi tape) today!

Great Job Mom! ~ Tutorial

Good morning everyone, Lynn here today sharing a Mother's Day card that I made using three different rolls of washi tape.  Scroll down for a little tutorial.

You can use your favorite die-cut machine or punch to cut out the quote or shape you need for your project or card.  After I cut out my quote, I placed the die-cut paper over another sheet of cardstock.  I traced lightly around the inner letters, careful not to leave any marks on my cardstock.

Here is what it looks like when you remove the top sheet.

Then I adhered the strips of LMT washi tape over the sections.

Now adhere your die-cut sheet on top and align.

There you have it!  Another fun way to play with LMT washi.  You can add other embellishments if desired.  I added a flower in the centre.

Clean And Simple Cards

Susie here today with a couple more CAS cards.
These Clean And Simple cards require a little bit more work than the set I shared with you last week - but not much!  We all have some fun stamps in our collections, right?  Combining them with ready made images and strips of washi  can help you quickly stockpile some very cute all occasion cards!
The tapes I used for these cards can be found in the Love My Tapes Etsy shop:
Clouds with Love, Red and White, Wood washi tapes
On the first card I started with a double row of coordinating washi tape along the bottom.  I used a stamped sentiment, added a red rhinestone heart and the Snapshot Sticker before adhering it to the black cardstock base.
Here's a close up.  The heart in the kitty's thought bubble actually used to be more pink.  I colored it with a red marker to make it coordinate with the tapes I wanted to use.  Cute and simple!
For the second card I just used a lot more layers of cardstock, choosing the colors of the cardstock and the washi to coordinate with the focal image.
Here's a closeup of the wood grain tape I used.
These cute cards were so fast to make!  I think it took about 20 minutes total for both cards! You can find the supply list on my blog HERE.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play (with washi tape) today!
