Blog-hop TGF

Hi there,

I know, today is not the day of the HUGE blog-hop from The Greeting Farm - it is TOMORROW!!! But - I usually wanted to participate in this hop and it would have been my fist blog-hop ever but for a strange reason that I even cannot remember I signed up for the Verve blog-hop that will be tomorrow, too. Don't misunderstand me - I LOVE my Verve stamps but I guess I was so excited to be a part of a blog-hop that I mixed up the companies. Does this makes sense for you??? Anyway ...

I created this card as my entry for the TGF blog-hop. The card-sketch was from a challenge I cannot remember (since we are back from vacation I need a while to be back on my road again ;-)) And this Miss Anya saw ink for the first time in our relationship - she was so fun to color.

I hope y'all will have a lot of fun tomorrow when you hop with all this amazing and talented ladies out there from one blog to another - I will enjoy it!

Check back tomorrow - a Verve-card will be waiting for you!
Hugs Tanja

Sketch-/ and color challenge

Hello everybody!

Just a pretty quick post today - our bag which was missed after we came back from Germany arrived this morning and I'm on my way to unpack all the goodies we brought with us .... ;-)

I participatd in the SCS Sketch-challenge and used the colors from the Colorthrowdown-challenge. I have to admit that I love the colors I worked with but there is still something missing - like a little "drama"-effect ... but well!

I absolutely like this stamp set from SU but everytime I use it I have to think of condolence (???)-cards. It's terrible - even though when I use bright or light colors.... I think I will use this card for the same thing because somebody in our neighborhodd passed away - !

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you enjoy your day and see you soon!

Hugs Tanja

Deets:
stamps: Dream du Jour ; Essence of Love all SU
ink: bordering blue and regal rose
paper: bordering blue, pink pirouette, whisper white; Wild Raspberry DP from K&Company
other: pearl stickers from Micheal's

I'm back!!!!

Good morning!!!!!!!!

Yes, finally we are back home and we LOVE it! Please, don't misunderstand me... I love my family and I love "vacation" in Germany but home is home, right?
We had 3 wonderful weeks over there. And our flight back was okay - but we are still missing one piece of our baggage (one of the important ones) and we are still busy doing laundry and grocery shopping and so on. But there is no better place to spent the "southern" summer than in the pool, huh? ;-)

Enough babbling ...
I wanna share a card with you I made the day before we left. I saw this flowers on Dawn McVey's blog and I wanted to try them. I like how they turned out. And I really love this stamp set from SU ... Sorry for the blurry picture - every time you need the sun she is gone (rolleyes).

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope to post more often now but as long as the kids are at home and not in preschool it might be not too often .... But I will work on it :-)
Have a wonderful day and see you soon
Hugs Tanja

still in Germany

Good morning everybody!

Sorry for being mia for soooo long. But we are having a blast here in Germany! The weather is gorgeous (just around 20°C and with lots of rain - you remember-> we are living in Alabama and there is SUMMER right now!!!!!!) - so we are really enjoying the rainy and lazy days here.

Usually I wanted to share some cards while we are here but to be honest my online-time is like zero!!!! We are busy with visiting family, playing with the kids, eating good german food and just having a great time! So please forgive me when I just show you only two of the wonderful impressions we got during the past days.

I hope to have the chance to post a little more often during the next week. If you won't "see" me please be sure that I'm thinking of all of you every day!

Hugs and kisses
Tanja

P.S. for the sisterhood: ladies, I probably leave by the end of June!!!!! So PLEASE - let's do the Sisterpalooza around the 20th!!!!!!!!!!

Freue mich drauf!

Embossing

Good morning!!!

Since there are just a couple days left and we have to prepare for our trip to Germany I haven't had time to do some "special" cards. But I found this Fresh-Cut-Note-Crads in my stash and wanted to use them.

So I stamped the "Fresh Cut" image from SU in Versamark and embossed it with clear EP (for the green card) and sponged some ink over it (is the embossing resist technique, isn't it?).
For the red one I just stamped the images with Versamark and used my StampinPastels for coloring.
The red flower in the middle is from the same set stamped with riding hood red and cut out.
Et voilà, that's it. I will take them with me to Germany - you never know when you may need a little card ....

Thanks for stopping by - have a wonderful day with lots of sunshine
Hugs Tanja
