colorQ #27

Hi there,

it is time for another colorQ challenge and Arielle has chosen beautiful boy-colors. Hurry over and check it out!

For my card I used this little bear from Whipper Snapper for the first time ... shame on me .... he is soooo cute. And do you see the polka dots in the background? They are made with my new embossing plate from PTI that I had inked up with tempting turqoise and then embossed with PTI white cardstock. So cool.
So, what do you think about the rick rack? I used my rick rack die from PTI (can you say I'm hooked???). It cuts through the thick cs like butter ... *happy sigh* Just awesome toys, right?

Ready for more inspiration? Then hop over and check out the other DT member's blog. This ladies are so talented. Links are in my right sidebar...

Wishing you all a fantastic day and take care
Hugs Tanja

winter-y colorQ

Hi there,

I'm back with my take for this week's colorQ challenge over at my friend's Arielle's blog. If you haven't bee there yet you have to check it out. Arielle chooses the most beautiful pics for your inspiration - love it!!!

This week we are supposed to use the colors: basic gray, bashful blue, whisper white and very vanilla.
Yes, I know, bad me, I cut the gray mat a little too short so you cannot see it on the right hand side. But hey, that's my kind of art, huh? Okay, was just a try - I haven't had time to redo it so I just left it like it is. The snowflakes are from The Serene Snowflakes set from SU. I embossed them clear and sponged bashful blue over them. The sentiment is from the Winter Schminter Set from Whipper Snapper, stamped in basic gray.

And because I was in the mood I made a whole set of these lovies (my card for Arielle was the last one, that's why I ran out of time). Unfortunately the sun wasn't out that day and the pictures are a little blurry - I think I really have to work on my photography skills!

All the card are the same stamp sets just different paper.

And for this one I stamped the snowflakes with Versamark and tried my stamping pastels once again. I always forget that I hav them until they fall in my hands - like this time! But I'm not sure what technique I like better for this kind of cards. What do you think?

That should be all for today. I'm working on a card for the Sugar Bowl challenge - I couldn't resist my new Daisy from Sugar Nellie and colored her in again. Hope I can show you the card tomorrow - or on Sunday ;-))

Take care - Hugs Tanja

WS and PB swap

Good morning ladies!!!

This will be a short post because I'm nearly out of the door (like I said - back to routine ;-)).

I participated in a swap hosted by my dear friend Barbara over at SCS for Penny Black and Whipper Snapper cards (Barb is lucky enough to live VERY close to the WS store!!!!)

So, this first card is the WS one - I used their cappuccino stamp on whisper white cs, paperpierced it with a scrap of my stash, sponged all the edged and put it on some nesties-circle (inverted and scalloped). Add a some dimensionals, spica pen and liquid applique, sticker pearls and orange gingham and throw in some razzleberry lemonade paper and dusty durango mats.
That's it!

The second one is the Penny Black - this little hedgehog is jumping into a bunch of hearts underneath a huge flower!!! Kinda that ;-).
I used my new embossing folder that I received as a gift from my wonderful SS Lorie (hey Lorie, love it ***waving***) and rub a little bit of chalk over it. The hearts were punched out with the punch from SU and I added crystal effects and a dew drop to the little guy's heart! And that is all it took!

Thank your for stopping by today and let my share my creations with you. All your comments are very appreciated and thank you so much for your support!!!!

Hope to see you back soon!!!

Hugs Tanja

Otto the owl

Hi there,

I hope everbody is enjoying a beautiful weekend so far. The weather here in AL is beautiful - sunny and not too hot, yet.

Today I finally finished a card for the "Forest swap" hosted by my dear friend Jeanette aka Forest Ranger over at SCS.

I'm not that satisfied with my coloring but anyway! I love Otto! Otto the owl is a Whipper Snapper stamp and as I mentioned before I adore those stamps.

The inside is pretty simple. I just stamped one of the leave stamps from the "trendy trees" SU set around the green cardstock. I think this will become one of my favorite SU sets ... =)

Thank you for stopping by today - wish you a wonderful weekend
Hugs Tanja
