Curtain Call & Sweet Sunday Sketch

Hi there,

I got this little lady from my friend Kadie and I had her sitting on my desk forever!!!! When I saw the colors at the Curtain Call blog I had to use this Gorjuss lady. And the sketch from Sweet Sunday sketch was just perfect for the paper and ribbon I wanted to use - I just love it when things fall in place....

I still work on my watercoloring skills - the black hair is okay but I'm not really happy with it - any suggestions how to make it better?

Thank you for popping in today
Hugs Tanja

colorQ #27

Hi there,

it is time for another colorQ challenge and Arielle has chosen beautiful boy-colors. Hurry over and check it out!

For my card I used this little bear from Whipper Snapper for the first time ... shame on me .... he is soooo cute. And do you see the polka dots in the background? They are made with my new embossing plate from PTI that I had inked up with tempting turqoise and then embossed with PTI white cardstock. So cool.
So, what do you think about the rick rack? I used my rick rack die from PTI (can you say I'm hooked???). It cuts through the thick cs like butter ... *happy sigh* Just awesome toys, right?

Ready for more inspiration? Then hop over and check out the other DT member's blog. This ladies are so talented. Links are in my right sidebar...

Wishing you all a fantastic day and take care
Hugs Tanja

4 in 1 Liesel

Hi there,

have you all had a good Easter holiday? We spent most of the day outside playing - the weather is gorgeous here. We even hopped into the pool today .... ;-)

My card for you today actually meets 4 (!!!!) challenges. I love the bright and sunny colors of the paper from Garden Variety by Cosmo Cricket.. And it gave me the inspiration for coloring Liesel with wheelbarrow in the same colors..... Kind of spring-y, huh?

Okay, what did we have? We had Crazy 4 challenge with kraft cs as a cardbase, KLStampinNScrappin with a 1-2-3 recipe, OCC with buttons (pfff, easy peasy for me ;-)) and we had Unscripted Sketches #49.

Without further adieu ... here come the supplies
Hugs Tanja

ouch x 3

Hi there,

I'm back with a card I made last night and that is in the run for 3 (!!!) challenges, yeah!!!
I played with my friend Arielle's colorQ challenge, the layout is from KL Stampin N Scrappin
and for Crazy 4 challenges I added texture.

I actually added texture three times: textured background paper, bubble embossing folder from Cuttlebug with white ink and my 2 band aid ... they are eligable for texture too, right? ;-)

I rotated Kelly's sketch and instead of the 3 embellies in the upper left corner I used the 2 band aids ... sorry but 3 would have been too much!

And I just loved the colors from Arielle's challenge: certainly celery, night of navy, baja breeze, sahara sand and white!!!!! The image is watercolored with those colors and they were just perfect for little dragon - poor baby.

Gotta go - we have fabulous spring weather and the boys don't wanna stay inside ...
Hugs Tanja

Vive la France

Bonjour mes amies!

Yes, I know, we are in the States so we talk english (that's what my little one told me yesterday ;)).
I participated in the challenge at Sweet 'n Sassy and combined it with the color dare. And while I was sorting stamps the other day I hold this set in my hands and a lot of wonderful memories came in my mind. Before we came to the States we have lived in the south of France for 3 years. And the building on this stamp looked so familiar ... hmmmmmm !!! But anyway... I decided to ink it up an try to color it a little bit. And this is the result:

I'm not quite statisfied because something is missing but I couldn't figure out what it is ....

I gotta run - dinner isn't read yet but Basketball training for the boys is over !!!! Have a good weekend and stay warm and safe!!!
Hugs Tanja
