More Christmas cards

Hello friends!

A couple weeks ago I started making my christmas cards. And during this time my friend Barbara aka barbaralynn over at SCS started a swap called "The BIG guy in the red .." I signed u for a spot and made this card. (Well, I actually haven't had a single Santa stamp... needless to say I had to have one, huh?)

And for the next card I was just playing around with some scrap paper and my Top Note Die. I figured out that I love the bermuda bay paper from SU - at first I wasn't excited about all of the new in colors, but the more I try to use them the more I really like them. I just wish they would have kept the riding hood red .... sniff***
So, this card will be another one I will send to friends and family in Germany this year :-)

Thank you for stopping by today and taking time to visit my little corner of the web.

Have a great rest of the day and see you soon
Hugs Tanja

A new post and another PKS challenge

Hi there,

I know, it has been a long time since my last post! Sorry about that. We were busy with organizing a German Oktoberfest here and last weekend we took a time-out and went to the beaches. In between there were a lot of appointments and other stuff going on like stomach-bug, flu, .....

But now I'm back and I have to show you lots of stuff I was working on during the last weeks.

Peachy Keen Stamps have a HUGE blog-candy and you can still win it until October 23th!!! Go get it!!!!!
And they have a new challenge going on this week. What about hop over to there blog and play. You should make an ornament and you have to add something gold and a hanging device - and a stamped image!

I ended up using a circle chipboard that I covered with Ski Slope DP. I punched out all the snowflakes with my Martha Stewart snowflakes punch, added them to the chipborad and placed a rhinestone in each center. The old olive scallop circle was punched out too and golden stickles were added. My dear "What's so funny snowman" came to good use again. I colored him in with just a little bit of my watercolor pencils and added red stickles and white liquid appliqué. Finally I'm not really satisfied with the result ... something is missing, hm? But anyway!

I had Gretel from C.C. Design sitting on my desk for a long time and wanted to give her a great sketch but I couldn't get it right. Until I found a sketch over at The Pink Elephant. And I adore this SU Cottage Wall DP - both together made a nice card for a girlfriend. I have to admire that it looks like I didn't level it out correctly but I meassure everything...

I hope you enjoyed it. Thank you for stopping by today - I will post more often - I promise ;-)

Hugs Tanja

PKS challenge

Hello everybody!!!

Here is my entry for this week's challenge at Pechy Keen Stamps!
I can't help but I LOVE this sun! It is so bright and shine and everytime I have a look at it it makes me smile. So, even though I used it for last week's sketch too I had to pull it out again!

I bought this DP a couple weeks ago and when the package arrived I was disappointed because online the colors looked different. I just stored it away and while I was searching for a matching paper for this card the pack fell in my hand and I knew why I bought it - LOVE the color combination with yellow and kinda pumpkin pie and this green!!!

What do you think? Comments are much appreciated - that's the way we learn, right?

Hugs Tanja

Quick Hello!!!

Good morning ladies!!!

My, time flies by way too fast! It's already Wednesday and there are still so many things to do. We wanna spend the weekend at the beaches so I have to organize and clean and wash and ... before we leave on Friday afternoon.

I wanted to share a card today but last night I figured out that I lost my mojo. Hope it'll come back pretty soon. But nevertheless I wanna show you a project I had to finish.

We have a wonderful and supportive
group of ladies who swap every month. And in this group Miss Kadie organized a Secret Sister Swap. And one thing you had to do for you SS was a handmade goodie. So I decided to make a Jewel Case Calendar for my SS. And as soon as I sent her the package with this calendar in I figured out that I messed up at least 3 month ( I took 'em from 2009 and not as I was supposed to take from 2010). So I redid them and by this morning they are postal to my wonderful friend Lorie - I really hope she likes them and will forgive me that I'm such a dork! :-)

Sorry for the poor photo quality - I had to take them last night because the envie should be postal by today.....

Thanks for stopping by today!

I love clean and simple designs and this sketch was one of those ...
It is an SU-only card an pretty self-explaining so I just go and give you the deets a little further down.

Thank you for stopping by today - wish y'all a great day
Hugs Tanja

Scraps Vol. IV

Hi friends,

are you already bored with my new series of scraps? I know, at least I am bored. I have a bunch of wonderful DP sitting in a bag that wanted to be used and I will do my very best during he next weeks .... :-)
But that has to wait - today is another scrap-day. I got these beautiful stamp from my sweet friend Lorie (I know!!!) for participating in the weekly challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps. And I was itching to ink it up. And because I have to make nearly 70 christmas cards for this holiday season I better get started ....

And in addition I put together a little "giveaway" card for little presents or .... .

I used sage shadow cardstock with whisper white and baja breeze textured and a little bit of basic black. Dp is a scrap from a retired winter DP but I don't know the name anymore (gone with the paper). The snowman is from Peachy Keen stamps and is called "What's so funny snowman" medium size - colored with my trusty Faber-Castell watercolor pencils and an Aquapainter. I then added just a bit of white liquid applique, some MS snowflake punch-outs, embossed the white paper with my Cuttlebug snowflake folder. Some ribbon and buttons and dew drops and that's all - oh wait, I gave the snowflakes a dust of sage shadow pastel ...!

For the 3x3 card I stamped snowflakes from the "Serene nowflakes" set, pulled out these thinking of you" stamped (no clue which company), heat-embossed it with clear ep, added a sage shadow ribbon and a black button-brad and the little "giveaway"-card was ready, too!!!!

I hope you enjoyed it - thank you for visiting me today
Hugs Tanja
