Cozy snowflakes

Hi there,

here is my take for this week's OCC challenge. We were supposed to use the colors close to cocoa, choc chip, pumpkin pie and white. Man, I absolutely L O V E this combination. It gave me such a warma nd cozy feeling while pitting this card together... sounds crazy, huh?

A couple days ago I saw my friend Sandra using her Kaleidoscope embossing powder for embossing not just the outlines but a whole image. So I gave it a try with my snowflake and was stunned how beautiful it looks like. You can't see it very well on the picture but it is sparkling like real snowflakes are ......

Thank you for visiting me today. Have a wonderful day and don't forget to tell your loved ones today that you love them.

Hugs Tanja

Build a house

Hi there,
I'm back with another card today - I wanted to participate in the challenge every Thursday over at the OCC blog. But last week's sketch gave me a real hard time. Plus I thought I could manage to combine it with the challenge at Peachy Keen where you are supposed to use just their faces.

Finally I came up with an idea but after I was finished I realized that me card pretty much look like the sample they posted on the site .... Well, at least it was a try .... :-)

I draw the shingles per hand with SU markers and the curtains are cut out by hand after eyeballing ... And I hide two faces from Peachy Keen's set "You are my sunshine". Can you find them? Yeah, right! In the upper windows - kinda behind the curtains.
The snowflakes were punched out and I then ran them through the Xyron. After that I dipped them with the sticky side in glitter. Easy, huh? I just like it!

That's it for today. Thank you for joining my and I wish y'all a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving.

Hugs Tanja

today during nap time I could sneak in a little stamping time :-) and came up with this card for this week's Viva La Verve challenge over at SCS.

The stamps are part of my second stamp set from Verve called "Believe" (fell in love with their stamps lately). Julee designed it for Breast Cancer Awareness month which was in October. But most of the stamps can be used for nearly all occasions - I just LOVE it!!!

The card is pretty self-explaining so I'll just leave you with the ingredients ....

Have a wonderful day

clean and simple blooms

Hi there!

I know... a week without post .... I apologize for that! We are having company - my in-laws from Germany are here since last Friday and even though they do all the "fun"-stuff with the kids there is still enough to do for me so that I don' t have had enough time to sit down and do some stamping ... :-( But we absolutly enjoy each others company!

I made this card a while ago for a clean and simple challenge and I used the colorQ challenge from my friend Arielle. I really love to color but I think I'm a clean-and-simple kinda of a stamping-girl :-)

Thank you for popping in today - I promise to post more beginning with next week, 'k?

grow by dreams

Hi there,

are you enjoying our weekend? We will go and see the Blue Angels tomorrow as they will perform their homecoming-show. Hopefully the weather will be okay ...

Before we leave I wanted to show you the card I made for MOJO Monday this week. I know I'm a little late for breats cancer awareness month. But I think you can use this sentiment for nearly all occassions. And the pink is a bright and cheery color not just made for breast cancer support, right?

A while ago I saw this clear embossed images at Laurie Schmidlin's blog and had to give it a try. I really like how it gives texture without being too bright. What do you think?

Thank you for stopping by today. I wish you a wonderful weekend with a lot of stamping time.
Hugs Tanja

Christmas Vol. ?

Hi there,

are you getting tired of checking out my Christmas cards? I'm sorry but I'm in Christmas cards mood. And due to the fact that we need still a bunch of those I can't help but always grab a christmas related stamp when it comes to cardmaking **grin**.

This time I participate in the challenge from Stamps and Smiles/ Our Creative Corner. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE this sketch. I'm a fan of the clean-and-simple style (not always but mostly ;-) and so I put this card together in less than 20 minutes. The DP is so gorgeous that I wanted it to stand for itself - I put it on dimensionald to give it more depth. And the sentiment is embossed for a 3-D look.

For the accessories I used my Martha Stewart snowflake punch and ran it through my Xyron then give it a glitter bath and here we are ...

stamp: Christmas Poinsettias from Sweet and Sassy Stamps; ink: whisper white craft SU
paper: choc chip, ww, Christmas Cocoa DP; others: clear EP, dimensionals, soft suede ribbon, MS snowflake punch, Xyron, glitter

That was so easy and fast that I just used the rest of the cs and made a second card with the specialty paper from the same Christmas Cocoa line from SU. It is way too adorable, what do you think? ... I mean the paper!

stamp: Christmas Poinsettias from Sweet and Sassy stamps; ink: whisper white craft
paper: choc chip, ww, Christmas Cocoa DP SU; others: clear EP dimensionals, Playground buttons SU, threat, Sleigh Bell ribbon SU

I think you will see some more cards here with this layout. Like I said - it will be one of my favorites -hehe!

Thank you for visitng me today and thank you for all the wonderful comments you left on this blog. They are very much appreciated.

Hugs Tanja

SSS28 and Poinsettias

Hi there,

I'm back with two cards. Yes, I've been busy but the problem was that my husband took the camera with him to work and the second one (small one) is not as good as the other one ... So, I made a bunch of cards but couldn't post them earlier.

The first card is for the sketch challenge over at The Sweet Stop . It's a simple layout and I wanted to show the beautiful paper. And this card matches also the challenge from Sweet'n Sassy Digi Day at SNR where you are supposed to use Holly! Well, after google-ing the word (i'm german and blonde... ;-)) I grabbed this paper from SU - LOVE the Christmas Cocoa DP!

stamps: Christmas Poinsettias from Sweet'n Sassy ink: StazOn Jet Black, real red, ww craft paper: soft suede, real red, Christmas Cocoa DP SU
others: EK success border punch, red ribbon Michael's, flower nesties and Big Shot, dimensionals, Aquapainter, white gel pen, red rhinestone stickers, clear EP and heat gun

The other day I saw a card made just from white cardstock and fell in love - it looks so elegant and clean - just my style. So I tried it and love how it turned out. There is just a tiny little dark spot in the upper right corner .... well, my youngest son asked me to help taking the picture and I think he still had a tiny bit of chocolate on his fingers ..... sorry for that :-)

stamp: Poinsettia Christmas - Verve ink: Versamark, riding hood red, basic black paper: PTI white
others: Petals-A-Plenty Embossingfolder SU, Kaleidoscope EP and heat gun, pearl stickers

I wish you a wonderful weekend , enjoy the fall weather if you still have it and stay safe.

Sugar 'n Spice

Hi there,

Did I tell you that I love this paper? Oh, well .... MOJO Monday's sketch for this week seemed to be a perfect match for her. So I put everything together, added a rub-on from Old Saint Nick (SU), riding hood red ribbon, some embellies and ... voilà!

Thank you for stopping by and for all the nice comment you left - they are very much appreciated!

Sketches and Challenges

Good Morning!!!!!!

I seem to develop a lot of addictions lately! And it all began when I became a SCS member and started swapping cards :::rolleyes:::. I still LOVE to do this but have you swapped card-kits yet? And do you like to participate in challenges? Once you get started you will be addicted - believe me! ;-)

I really love all the creative ideas and all the people you meet while blog hopping .... Okay, back to the cards. Guess what? Right, I made to cards for two challenges.

The first one is Mermaid Anya and I made her for this challenge from Taylored Expression. I hosted a card kit swap a while ago and this image, paper and embellies are from a kit that my dear friend Susan aka PSU_mom sent me - THANK YOU sweetie, I loves the things you included.

stamps: Mermaid Anya - The Greeting Farm; paper: night of navy, PTI white, bermuda bay, unknown DP,
others: dimensionals, rhinestone and pearl stickers, stardust stickles, watercolor pencils and blender pen, flower, scallop circle punch

This sweet Gretel was sitting on my desk for quite a while, already colored! I thought she was perfect to go with this challenge from for the Viva la Verve challenge (VLVNOV01) on SCS (I'm still trying to win a whole release ;-)).

This time the twist that Amber includes every week was to use just 1 kind of embellies (hurgh!!), 2 colors of cs plus neutral (okay) and 3 (!!!) different stamps. Boy, that was work for me. I used Pixie Gretel from CC Design by AllThatScrap, Short and Sweet SU (wish big stamp) and In Bloom PTI! I stamped the blooms with pretty in pink on the pretty in pink cs underneath Gretel - I know it is hard to see. Especially since I had to make the photos with our "not-so-good" camera - my husband took my Rebel to work (grrrrrh). Sorry for the blurry pics. This card would fit in the Clean and simple category too, huh? ;-)

stamps: Pixie Bretel CC Design All that scraps, short and sweet SU, in bloom PTI
paper: old olive, very vanilla, pretty in pink, Green Tea and Ginger Blossom DP SU
ink: pretty in pink, choc chip craft, Momento Tuxedo Black
others: SU markers, clear EP, green buttons TE, circle and scallop circle Nesties, dimensionals

Thank you for visiing me today - I wish y'all a wonderful week filled with fun and good memories.

Hugs Tanja
