cqc52 - happy birthday colorQ

Hi there,

here is another colorQ card for you today. Due to the fact that colorQ celebrate it's first birthday today (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!) Arielle challenged us to create a card based on a sketch and with our favorite past colorQ combo.

I chose cQc #22 because I just love those combo - airy and breezy *happy sigh*. And I was in a need of a bookmark/ card so I decided to combine both.

This is the inside of the card.

I borrowed this "special" perforation cutter from my SiL and I think I need one for myself. This thingy cut the perforation exactly there where it belongs - love it! And after you finished reading thecard you just rip of the bookmark and use for whatever book you are reading - GREAT!

The sentiments and images are from PTI "All booked up" set - which is just the perfect set for all this little book related gifties .

That'll be all for today. Please stop at the coloQ blog and celebrate with us - and of course don't forget to check out the cards from the DT - they rocked the challenge :)

Hugs Tanja

P:S: - will be back later with the supply-list - kids are screaming and bleeding :::rolleyes:::

Wedding-Day???

Hi everybody,

no, it's not wedding day over here but I thought I share this card with you today. I created it with one of Lori Boyd's digis "bride and groom" available in her shop - love it.
The sketch is from Sweet Sunday Sketch - so perfect to combine a bunch of scrap paper (here all from Boxer by Basic Grey).

And just in case I really need to give it away for a wedding I can add the initials of the bride and groom on the hearts ... we will see!

I'm off to prepare dinner now :)
Hugs and wish y'all a wonderful weekend
Tanja

remember to smile - by Lori Boyd digi

Hi there,

what do yo think of this cutie??? I just LOVE her. I have "her" sitting on my desk colored in 3 different ways and waiting for the next matching sketch :).

This image is called "Peekaboo Baby" and can be found here. Lori Boyd is one talented designer, I tell you. She makes the most cutest images ever. When I first saw her Puddlejumpers I fell in love *happy sigh*.

For this card I didn't wanna make a typical baby card. I used the sketch from Jen del Muro and played with the challenge from Claudia and Company ( use 1 flower, 2 DP and 3 buttons - I actually figured out that it was NOT the challenge from Claudia an company - but I have no clue which one it was.... ) and made kind of an encouragement card. And since there is always somebody who can use one of those ... :)

Thank you for stopping by today - and a special thanky to all you who left this encouraging and sweet comments on my last posts. They all mean so much to me - huge hug to everybody
Tanja

Blast from the past - blog hop

Hi there,

and thank you for stopping by today. A warm welcome to all the hoppers who arrived here for the TE blog hop - you are on the right track :)

For today's hop I finally inked up my "You are my hero" set which was sitting on my desk for ever. And I used one of Taylor's awesome Key Ingredients set (just annot remember which one it is ...). Since I have to two and a lot of teenager around us this set is just PERFECT! So I tried to create a card that could be used for a boy or a girl. And the sketch Sankari provided was great to work with.

Unfortunately it was soo difficult to get a good pic from the card without any reflection from the foil - well, this is my best try, sorry!

The stars were stamped with black craft ink and then embossed with iridescent (???) embossing powder. In real life it looks so cool but on the photo ...:(. I added a lot of sponging with basic gray ink. The foil was cut with a circle nestie, embossed with an embossing plate from PTI and after that crumbled up. I like the look.

Gotta run, the kids need a nap (shhht, Mommy too ;))
Hugs to y'all and hope to see you back soon
Tanja

Supplies:
stamp: You are my hero - Taylored Expression

some family talk ...

Hi folks,

no card today. But some of you guys have asked about our "new life" in Germany. And I promised to post some pics.

I decided to start with some interesting pictures from the "BIG MOVE" from Alabama, USA to Lower Saxony in Germany.

Since we had a moving company coming to pack up A L L our stuff (I mean really everthing) it looked crazy like this:

part of the kitchen

dining room with living room

guess, what is this? yep, a small part of my stamping stuff. they packed everything pretty good but boy, I was watching them .....
the first container packed with a part of our 400 moving pieces

Mathis and Jannis pretty excited because of all the things going on (well, at least for a little while)

the first container jam-packed!!!! I mean it was FULL!

Here are the boys waiting for the rest of the boxes being brought into container #2

me and the boys resting under a tree and watching what's going on ...

now, it was time for the car to be packed up - SAD moment

bye bye baby!!

And this is Hartmann Family without furniture watching the german soccer team playing during the World Championchip. The boys enjoyed the empty house for quite a while but without their toys .... :(

Okay, here I will finish part 1 of our "New Life" series. Stay tuned for more pics here on the blog
Hugs Tanja

Announcement - tadaaaa!

Hi there,

have you heard the news yet? No? Do you want to know something veeeery exciting? Yes??? :)))))
Tadaaaa: Lori Boyd's new digi shop is opening and she is announcing her DT today. Ha, I thought that you might think "okay, so what?" but wait: I'm in her DESIGN TEAM, YEAH!!!!

Boy, I'm so excited. I feel so honored and I'm so looking forward to work with these talented ladies - you really should go and check out their blogs (you can find the links in the DT badge on the right side of this blog). Pure inspiration !
Thank you so much, Lori, for this opportunity!

Okay, now to my card for today.
I wanted to make one with a digi from Lori but when we plugged in our printer it made "poof", smelled like burnt eggs and .... nothing. So no printing here for me at the moment. I went back to my trusted Lucas Puddlejumper and put him on a card - here we go. The layout is from Mercy's sketch here and the card matches the Stampin' Royalty challenge too :).

And I tried my hands on some stitching again - usually a big deal for me because I'm not able to sew a straight line for 1/2 of an inch ... this time it worked pretty well and I really like how the black threat brings it all together. What do you think?

Thank oyu for stopping by today and celebrating with me!
Hugs Tanja

cqc#50 - sunshine flowers

Hi there,

it's colorQ time again - boy, where is this week gone? I think I need to slow down and enjoy the rainy weather here in Germany (since we haven't had it for at least four years :))

Miss Arielle found this wonderful inspiration photo and I have to admit that LOVE this color combo - unfortunately I don't owe any stamp pad from the new colors/in colors from SU but I think it's no big deal to change a little bit, right? And you can't see the difference on this photo anyway :)

For my card I used one of those stamp set Inkadinkado came up when the first wave of inchies rolled on. I love the images but I couldn't get a really good stamped one on paper - don't know what happened but every time I stamped one of this cuties I messed it up. So I stayed with this little image and went ahead. I really like the result - the colors just rock, what do you think? It's your turn to show us your creations at the colorQ website!

Thank you for visiting me today and stay tuned. There will be big news tomorrow and I'm already soooooo excited....
Hugs Tanja

Hugs Tanja
