Scrapbook Club

Today was my monthly craft class and this month we did 2 scrapbook pages.  I alter the months from cards and scrapbook pages so that everyone gets to do their favourite hobby but also gives them variety from just doing one type of crafting.  As we were a small group today I decided to cancel the hall and hold the club at my house.  It was really nice and everyone finished sooooo much quicker it was unbelievable.

I gave my ladies 3 options of a layout, all quite similar but just a few changes here and there.  The third option I gave them was my actual pages and here they are:
Sample 1

  Sample 2

My Layout

Now you will see from the ones my ladies did that they took certain elements from each layout, including my final one.  It always amazes me how a group of ladies can start off with exactly the same materials yet make something different.  Here are my ladies works of art:

The first layout was done by Steph, then we have  Teresa's, next comes Kelly's and finally we have Tracey's layout.  I'd like to thank my ladies for a lovely morning and I hope you all enjoyed yourselves.

If you would like to join in  my on my next craft class, or to purchase any products listed below, then please do get in touch for the details

Yesterday was my monthly crafting class and, despite being in severe pain, I didn't want to let my ladies down. Luckily they are all very understanding and didn't mind me sitting down for most of the lesson...lol. It was the turn of the scrapbook yesterday and, as we've just celebrated christmas, I thought we'd do pages on this theme.

I must say I did cheat a little with this class as the pages we did I had done about a year ago at a class run by my upliner, Victoria so very little thought had to go into it. As with all my classes I told my ladies that they could either follow my creation or do their own thing as I think its personal choice esp when doing something like a scrapbook. Well I was nicely surprised when a lot of them did vary the layout and I even managed to remember to take some photos of their creations and, with their permission, I will show you them now.

This is my original layout

I'm sure you will agree that all of the changes, no matter how slight or major, are fantastic.  In my next class we are going to be making a chest that holds 10 cards.  I thought it would be a nice gift for mothers day or birthdays.  If you would like to know more about my classes or to order anything, just get in touch and I'll be happy to discuss things with you.

Thank you for stopping by and please leave a comment.

Happy New Year

I can't believe its New Years Eve, where has the year gone? I bet like me you've had your ups and downs but the best thing to come out of 2011 for me is obviously the birth of my grandson who is now 5 months old and a little bruiser.   He has grown sooooo much, if you keep reading you might get a glimpse of little man.

I haven't been well for a while hence not posting but I'm hopefully on the mend and will try and post more often  in 2012 :)  I've got quite a few things to show you but for the time being I'm going to show you the christmas cards I made this year.  I was determined not to make a different one each time but several of the same design but I still ended up making several different ones...lol.   Here are a few pics to show you what I did....

The stamp sets used were Polar Party and Beautiful Seasons, these must be my most fav christmas sets.   As you can see I even braved it and did some colouring in using the blender pens and inks..... lol.  I've used lots of products to make the cards so if you'd like to purchase any please get in touch.

I'll be back soon to announce whats happening in January and to show you some cards I made for my mums birthday this month.    Until then have a very Happy New Year and a prosperous 2012.

Oh I nearly forgot, here is the promised pics of my beautiful grandson and gorgeous daughter taken christmas day evening down at my mums.  He was so well behaved considering he's usually in bed around 7pm and we didn't leave mums until gone 10.

Happy New Year everyone

Love and hugs
