And Many More....

I can't stop!
I sat down with this stamp set, From Owl Of Us and I cannot stop playing with them.
Here is another way to use these little cuties for a birthday card.
You can click here to see how many wonderful stamps are in this set and they're all found at
I've also included on this card the file Huge Cupcake from The Cutting Cafe.
I'll be back again in a couple of days to show my last card created from this set...so cute!
Here's a hug and thanks for the visit.

I miss my babies....

Helloooooooo!
I'm so happy you stopped by my blog. Please excuse the cobwebs.  It's residual Halloween decorations and real ones. My grandmother taught me to crochet many years back and this last visit she taught me knitting and I haven't been able to focus on anything else.  I promise to visit and catch up next week.  In the meantime, here's my latest offering for The Cutting Cafe.
My baby girl will be 18 very soon and even though she's still a sweetheart who hugs me all the time and lets me kiss her in public and loves to cuddle and watch Netflix with me, she's not a little kid anymore and that's sad...
(Many apologies to my Mom for growing up too!)
I decided to make her a girly card using this fabulous Candle Shaped Card, Assorted Banners, Birthday Number Candles, and 5 Petal Layered Flower Set.
Here's a fun little insert.
Notice the 'due' date is highlighted.  That's what the doctor predicted and the 'date out' is when she was born.
And that's that!
Again, please excuse my absence of late. I can't wait to come visit you all. Until then,
knit 1, purl 2......
Everything and more and even some VERY NEW ACRYLIC STAMPS coming soon to
All DT projects are posted at The Cutting Cafe Blog on the 7th and 21st of each month. We'd love for you to visit and be sure to leave a comment for Regina. She selects one lucky person to receive 3 FREE files of their choice!

Remember When......

Remember when you couldn't wait to grow up?!
It was like wearing a badge of pride when you said,  "I'm (this many fingers up) and a half!"
Now I'd like to freeze time or back peddle, back peddle, back peddle..
When I started this challenge, I had no idea where it was going; except that it had to have blue in it and mixed media elements.  Once I colored up the vintage boy/man clown, the rest is... well, driven by childhood nostalgia.
So thank you Mixed Media Card Challenge...it's been fun!
And here's my completed card.....
Here's to aging, but never quite maturing...

I love you, but please go away....

That's got to be the sweetest sentiment ever! Right?
Well, it's kinda what's going on at my house right now.

I'm so happy to have my grandmother of 87 years staying with us since last Friday and on the 7th it will be her 88th birthday!!!  She's incredibly artsy fartsy too and she loves to help when it comes to making cards!   WELL...this week she's been keeping me company and that's been great, but she barely left me alone long enough to plop this Happy Birthday sentiment on this card before she came running right back in. And seriously, she runs...she's a quick little one!
She's seen the card and helped select the butterflies, but she hasn't seen the sentiment yet.

Did I mention that her little feet are dreadfully stealthy too?  She walks with the weight of a shadow, so I'm at the moment, looking over my shoulder as I type this post, paranoid she'll be watching as I type about her....
So far so good, so let me tell you what files I've used from The Cutting Cafe
(Dangit! Here she comes...be right back)...
LOL! I think she knows I'm up to something now. She walked in and I'm looking at my screen saver. She shook her head and walked out.
Seriously...I love you, but Grandma, PLEASE!

I loved combining the Tulip Basket Shaped Card Set with May Word Shaped Card and then an independent sentiment from my cutting machine.

So there you have it.
Happy (almost) 88th Birthday Grandma!!
I LOVE YOU and you can come back in the room now ;)
Hugs and Happy Crafting...

Shabby Babby....

You could blindfold me and have an expert take hold of my hands and create a shabby chic card and it STILL wouldn't turn out right.  I don't know how to describe what I've created here, but the theme, or  what I was hoping to achieve, was vintage shabby chic.  Are there some elements there to qualify? Yep.  Does it look appealing? Ummmm, maybe it's just me, but I think it looks confused.  Maybe that's the randomness of the arrows I decided to place; which were symbolic of progressing from birth on, as this is a birthday card for a very special friend of mine who prevails in this genre.

Thanks to Ignacio at Nicecrane Designs, I was able to color this precious little baby girl using his images from Your Magical Name II
Well, I'm pretty pleased with the results, even though my brain can't quite figure out how to naturally design like that, so I hope it's not too confusing for you all to look at too.  However, the image is sensational and that was my saving grace!  All the elements you see here were also cut on the Silhouette Cameo.

Thank you so much for your visit and I hope you're doing well and finding plenty of time to craft!
Hugs,

Got Coffee?

Love coffee? Got Coffee? Need a little crafty coffee fix?
Then The Cutting Cafe is the place to be because Regina has designed these wonderfully fun and versatile coffee template and cut files!

This coffee holder is perfect for a gift and if you cut two of the box shapes out, you can make it a double holder with a handle. I opted for just a single coffee cup holder here.

There's even a card file that comes with this that contains an inside pocket for a gift card or money.

How fun is this?  Too fun!
The files I used to make these items were:

It's a Cupcake Party!!!

Welcome back and I'm so happy you stopped by!
It's another showcase week at The Cutting Cafe and Regina has decided that we each to get to display whatever file we would like....and I LIKE cupcakes....so here they are!
Need a cute little gift card holder for a birthday party or any celebration? Here's a purse cut file and using Regina's Assorted Cupcake Templates; Cherry.

Just a few more purses, also using the Cherry template with sprinkles that can either be inserted into the cut file or cut separately to layer on the icing.

Center purse here uses the Assorted Cupcake Template, Heart.
Purses are a bit too dainty for the men, so how about a money or gift card holder for boys or men?
Here is Regina's Assorted Cupcake Template; Candle.  This cupcake has sprinkles that I've cut into the icing shape and then filled with Stickles. The addition of the mustache, tie and masculine papers are fit for any guy in your life.
However, you can always make one of each! :)
Now here is Regina's Cupcake Box and this is such a fun file to work with. The template comes with 4 different style lids. I've chosen to place a plastic window on mine so you can see the goodies inside.  Wouldn't this be a cute idea to hold the party favors too?
BUT...who's going to know you're having a party without INVITATIONS!!
Check this cutie out.  The template is rather large on this and so much fun to decorate. Of course, all the templates and cutting files can be sized to any shape you desire.
So there you have it. All one stop shopping at The Cutting Cafe for your party decorations. You can get your invitations, centerpieces, party favors, gift holders and so much more all in one convenient and wonderful shop!
Here are the files I used to create the above pieces:

Thanks so much for stopping in.  Hope you enjoyed your visit.

Care For a Tall One??

Nope, sorry...I don't mean the frothy kind, but these absolutely adorable TALL cards that come from The Cutting Cafe!  Regina has blown my mind again with her creativity and I hope the cards speak for themselves when I say, these were a blast to make!!
The whole gang all together...
Each card comes with accessories and sentiments and even envelopes to accommodate
The papers are from Stampin' Up! the Kewpie Dolls are from a stamp set I've had for years and the flowers were all handmade with a little baker's twine and White Opal Liquid Pearls to embellish. These sentiments are stamps from Verve Stamps.
And here are the tall envelopes I told you about...

I know you're already thinking of ways to decorate your own, so swing on by The Cutting Cafe and take a look at all the other inspiration from my teammates and here are the direct links to the cards you've seen here.

Thank you very much for your visit and
Happy Easter!

It's Tuesday and another challenge has opened up at Top Tip Tuesday with the fun theme of Up, Up and Away!  We're looking for cards that have rockets, airplanes, balloons, hot air balloons, etc. You name it. If it goes into the air, we'd love to see it.  Thanks to one of our fabulous new sponsors, Zlatoena, I've created this birthday card with Rabbit Traveler - Air plane
He's colored in copics and flying high in his paper pieced plane. A few clouds, red balloon, and  little puffs of cotton ball smoke from the engine.  Sentiment is from Create With TLC.
So stop on by and say hello and when you submit your entry, you'll be in the running for prizes from Zlatoena and Crimson Cloud.

Enjoy Your Day (For a Female)

Ohhh she's living the life!
Meet the lovely Deirdery on her day off....and boy is she living it up.
Tall glass of Long Island Iced Tea and her ittsy bitsy polka dot not a bikini, beside the lovely umbrella that's keeping the sun from frizzing her newly done hairdo.   Pedro, the handsome young pool boy has just stepped away to make her some lunch.
I designed this card to be fitting for so many different occasions like, birthday, retirement, yeah-you won the lottery, etc.  Thank you to Dr. Digi's House of Stamps for producing this gorgeous pool side diva!
So happy you popped in!
Deirdery nodded off for a little nap while she waits for her luxurious lunch, but I'll be sure to tell her you stopped in. :)

The River Denial...

Taking a few liberties with the more common quote "Denial ain't just a river in Egypt", I knew this little Egyptian diva would make a humorous birthday card for our sketch challenge over at Dutch Dare.  Layering four Egyptian playing cards onto a Kraft based card, a 'pyramid' sewn border, red square mesh netting and a handmade pyramid, here sits Bonnie of the Nile (Sassy Cleopatra), colored up in copics, from Sassy Studios with a comical birthday wish.

Wishing each of you all the very best.  Thank you so much for your time to visit my blog.

Ridiculously Amazing Day...

I'll be honest, I will pass on the lady that jumps out of a cake, for my birthday, BUT... I would be thrilled with a giant slice that I could jump into!  Which is why this little image, Polly's Slice Of Cake from Squigglefly, artist Cheryl Alger, tickled my funny bone.  She's elbow deep in chocolate fudge and obviously having a ridiculously amazing birthday. Sentiment is from Ginger's House.

I can't wait to kick off this next linky party happening over at Make It Monday, so I won't keep you long, but thank you so much if you contributed to the excellent creativity I thoroughly enjoyed looking at last week.  Here's an entry that stood out to me that I'd like to share.
PICK OF THE WEEK!
Isn't this something! Look how Jan has created this crack in the brick wall and made the sentiment to fit perfectly.  What a fun and inspiring card.  To read more about this, please visit her blog

Stop in and say hi to the sweet DT and see what they've been up to this week too!
