Busy As A Bee

Morning

Back to work this morning after a lovely weekend. And that's the exams started in this house, Craig is on study leave now for his Nat 5 exams. I'm sure we'll get back to a stress free house when they're all over. 

I'm starting the annual clear out early! I'm fed up looking at most of these cards lying unloved in my cards still to be shared! 

This was my sister in law's birthday card (her birthday is December, and yes, it was only last December, not the one before that.... I think)

That Craft Place Challenge

Hello again!

It's time for a new challenge at That Craft Place

This time our theme is

Punches and Dies

Now I might not have used any punches on this card but I have kinda gone die crazy cos I've used 3.... the paper people die, the opulent oval nesties and the sentiment strips!

The paper I've used is paper that the lovely Lisa sent me in a DT pack so I don't actually know what it is - the ribbon came in the same pack.  This card has now winged it's way back down to Eastbourne for Lisa to display in her shop.

Just A (Birthday) Girl

Morning all.

Halfway through the first week of the Easter hols and there have been no casualties - must be doing something right!

I had some time to play yesterday as the boys were both out playing with their friends and Andy was away doing some birthday shopping :) 

I had a birthday card a friend had ordered to finish off but I can't share that yet and once I'd finished I was about to put everything away (no, really, I was) when I decided to do something just for fun!

I decided I'd enter the Sugary Sunday challenge on Facebook this week which is dies and doodles and it went from there. I have paper pieced her dress using some self adhesive gingham paper I bought at the SECC when I was with Cathy (bought specifically for a Gorjuss girl) - there were 4 different colours of gingham on the one 12x12 sheet so this could feature again soon!

We want to see - cats, dogs, rain. You can use any or all of them in your card. You can see that I've gone for the rain and the cat option. Now the more observant among you will notice that that cat does not in fact go with the girl.    That's because I didn't check the instructions for the challenge before making the card.... Kim actually meant us to use Cats or Dogs on our creations and I had ignored that and concentrated on the rain option! So she very kindly changed the wording of her challenge!
