Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Hello.

 

Time for a new challenge Sweet Stampin' and our theme this time is Firsts. I made the 1st birthday card but one of the Sweeties had also done a 1st birthday boy card so I decided to do a Baby's 1st Christmas.  When I went to watermark the card I discovered a card I made for a friend leaving work for his first day in a new job so I'm sharing that too (his version wasn't censored!)

For the last few challenges over at Fezziwig's Festive Frolics, I've looked at the theme, had an idea and then the weeks have whizzed by and I've not made a card and not entered the challenge. However, the theme this time is Favourite Stamp so I decided I would definitely have a go.  I don't know if this is my favourite stamp but if I waited to decide, I'd not be entering this challenge either!

This is a card I made for a friend's birthday earlier in the year - I think it's one of those times that I made the card, wrote the envelope, posted it but actually forgot to write anything in the inside (I've got previous for this and always to the same person!)

Love these wee Hello Bluebird elephants they're so cute! I've made them on a panel and stuck that on the card, I had been going to go with a one layer card but decided against it.

Busy As A Bee

Back to work this morning after a lovely weekend. And that's the exams started in this house, Craig is on study leave now for his Nat 5 exams. I'm sure we'll get back to a stress free house when they're all over. 

I'm starting the annual clear out early! I'm fed up looking at most of these cards lying unloved in my cards still to be shared! 

This was my sister in law's birthday card (her birthday is December, and yes, it was only last December, not the one before that.... I think)

Sweet Stampin' Challenge

This week our theme is

I Wish I Could Fly

So rather than a fairy or an aeroplane which is what I would normally use I've gone for a dragon.... well it has wings and it flies.....

This is a birthday card I made for a friend!

I've just use some distress inks to create a background and stamped some swirls and the sentiment in black. I stamped the stars using London Fog so they were a bit paler. The dragon is a Sweet Dixie die that Scott liked and asked me to buy....

Seriously? How Long Does It Take To Write a Blog Post?

I think I started this on Friday... or perhaps even Thursday!!

However, we were slightly busy with party goings on at the weekend and then I was a bit* under the weather on Sunday after the party.

*understatement, only just recovering now.

So today's/last week's card is one which I made for a party Scott was going to. And you'll notice that the photo is the wrong way round and I was going to change it but never got round to. Then Scott wrote the card with the sentiment along the bottom instead of at the side! Pfft. The monkey wasn't supposed to be on his side!!

This is in honour of my "29th" birthday tomorrow *coughs* 

My card was on order from a friend for her son to give his Gran who's birthday it was last weekend. 

I was told she liked baking so I've gone for a Pretty Grafix Baking Boys image and teamed him with the Digi Stamp Boutique Celebration Cake. I can't remember where the Recipe of a Birthday stamp is from. It might be Dreamees. When I was putting the card together I thought some stray "chocolate icing" would be good so I used Visible Image Ink Spots stamps to look like dropped icing.
