John Paul and Kieron

John Paul is finally moving on... or so one would hope judging from these two clips. Both originate from the long running British soap Hollyoaks and feature John Paul (James Sutton) and his latest love interest, Kieron Hobbs (a priest new to town), played by Jake Hendriks... The clip above highlights John Paul and Kieron's first kiss (albeit an inebriated one), after concluding a charity fashion show. Kieron is indeed quite the hottie with his shirtless blazer, personally I find him to be a step up from Craig biggrin. I believe Kieron is slated to be John Paul's main love interest this year, so it'll be interesting to see how the relationship develops (especially considering Kieron's ordained status and all the obvious issues that may arise from such a taboo relationship)... this is only the beginning.

I found this particular clip while doing my usual blogsurfing. Basically a montage of John Paul trying to get over his old relationship with Craig by way of forming a close friendship with Kieron... all this put the the tune of Veritcal Horizon's 'Everything you want' of course... Suffice to say I think John Paul and Kieron will make a sexy couple, and I'll be keeping up on this one. You can see more on John Paul's storyline here.

Philip Olivier

Gorgeous 27 year old British Actor Philip Olivier modeling for his calendar shoots from 2006 and 2007.

You may remember Philip for his memorable entangles a little while back in the short-lived Hollyoaks spin-off, Hollyoaks in the city...
Philip was probably the primary draw to that show... and as you can tell, nothing much's changed since then... Absolutely gorgeous...
He's currently shooting for a feature length British Gangster movie to be released next summer called Clubbing to Death. It'll be interesting to see how that movie turns out, I'm a big fan of the British gang flicks...
Quite easily one of the hottest actors to ever come out of the UK.

Hollyoaks Classic?

I think the writers outdid themselves with these two episodes. I admit, even though I feel Luke and Noah in 'As the World Turns' are hotter, the cast all around in Hollyoaks are far, far better actors. The acting's better, the writing's better, the directing's better. It's unfortunate Guy is leaving the show... I think he was a major factor in what made this story arc so gripping. It won't be the same at all without him.

Guy Burnet recently gave an in-depth interview to Digital Spy a few days ago going into his feelings playing a gay character, his leaving the show, and his future aspirations both in his private life and acting. Check out the link for more info.

John Paul & Craig - Hollyoaks

Easily the best gay storyline i've ever seen on TV...

Granted there haven't been too many, but this one definitely stands out. Being that I'm American and more familiar with our soaps, after having watched this Hollyoaks story arc, i'm almost reluctant to put it in that category. It feels more like A drama that could probably be on during the primetime slots (especially with regards to the later episodes).

The two main love interests are John Paul McQueen played by James Sutton and Craig Dean played by Guy Burnet. Throughout the series both do an equally great job portraying gay students about to go to college (although Craig would be better described as bisexual rather than gay).

In case you're like me, and aren't able to watch the show when it's on, there are several members on youtube who've regularly been posting the episodes, and basically have covered the gay story arc in its entirety.

There's a lot of them and I really love this storyline, so I'll be posting some of my faves over time.
