Mother's Day Freebie Sentiment #7

Here is the last in the series of Mother's Day sentiments for this year:

JPG

To download these, right click on the image and select the option "save as"  to save to your own computer.  I use a word processing program (like Microsoft Word or Word Perfect) to insert these into a document, size them appropriately and then simply print on heavy card stock and cut it out with either a punch or a die.

Here is a card I made with this sentiment:
The card base on this card is Gorgeous Grape and there is a layer of Highland Heather under the stamped plaid.  This is another card I made with the Concord & 9th diagonal plaid stamp set.  I can't tout it's virtues enough.  I love it! The sentiment was printed on white, colored with blends and cut out with the Stitched Shapes dies and then mounted on a Gorgeous Grape piece cut using the Layering Squares dies.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Mother's Day Freebie Sentiment #6

Here is the next in this series:

To download these, right click on the image and select the option to "save as"  to save to your own computer.  I use a word processing program (like Microsoft Word or Word Perfect) to insert these into a document, size them appropriately and then simply print on heavy card stock and cut it out with either a punch or a die.

Here's a card I made with this sentiment:
The card base on this card is Purple Posy, a color I have not yet used from the 2019-2020 crop of in-colors.  The ink turned out to be a bust, but the paper is actually very nice! There is a layer of white cut using the largest layer die from the Ornate Layers set.  The next layer is Mint Macaron cut with the next sized die from the Ornate Layers set.  I cut the sentiment using the Stitched Nested Labels dies.  This is a delicate and very feminine card that I think any mother would appreciate.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

To download these, right click on the image and select the option to "save as"  to save it to your own computer.  I use a word processing program (like Microsoft Word or Word Perfect) to insert these into a document, size them appropriately and then simply print on heavy card stock and cut it out with either a punch or a die.

Here is a card I made with this sentiment:
The card base is Mint Macaron with a layer of Highland Heather embossed with the Coastal Weave embossing folder.  I added a panel of Highland Heather paper from the subtles dsp collection.  I die cut the sentiment using the Stitched Shapes dies and layered it on a Mint Macaron die cut from the Layering Circles dies.  I added a couple of Clear Epoxy Droplets for a little bling.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Mother's Day Freebie Sentiment #4

Here is another freebie Mother's Day sentiment for you:

To download these, right click on the image and select the option to "save as"  to your own computer.  I use a word processing program (like Microsoft Word or Word Perfect) to insert these into a document, size them appropriately and then simply print on heavy card stock and cut it out with either a punch or a die.

Here's a card I made with this sentiment:
The card base is Grapefruit Grove (another color I am going to miss so much).  The layer is Daffodil Delight and it was embossed with the Ornate Floral embossing folder.  The larger of the flowers is from Believe You Can, a host set that is retiring next month and the small flower with the leaves is from the Ornate Style stamp set.  I cut the sentiment out with the Stitched Labels dies and the small flowers were cut with my Scan n Cut machine (really, there will be a post about that soon). I colored all the flowers with my Stampin' Blends.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Mother's Day Freebie Sentiment #3

Here is another Mother's Day freebie for you:

I have been making cards with these sentiments.  I am keeping them pretty simple and basic, but there are myriads of ways these could be used.  Here are the cards I made with today's sentiment:

The card base for the top card is Balmy Blue with a layer of Balmy Blue subtles dsp.  I cut one of the labels from the Ornate Layers dies.  I layered a sentiment cut using the stitched nested labels dies.  I colored the flower using my Stampin' blends.  The second card is using So Saffron and the Calypso Coral dsp from the subtles pack. These cards were very quick and easy to make!  Here are some of the products I used:

Mother's Day Freebie Sentiment #2

Here is the next in this year's freebie sentiments for Mother's Day:

JPG
PNG
To download these, right click on the image and select the option to "save as"  to your own computer.  I use a word processing program (like Microsoft Word or Word Perfect) to insert these into a document, size them appropriately and then simply print on heavy card stock and cut it out with either a punch or a die.

Here are a couple of cards I made with this sentiment:

The cardstock colors used on these cards are: Rococo 'Rose, Mint Macaron and So Saffron. I also used Ornate Garden dsp.  The ribbon is Mossy Meadow Stitched Satin and Petal Pink Metallic Edge. One of the great advantages of cleaning and organizing my craft room has been all the wonderful discoveries of old tools and papers that I had forgotten I had.  Both base die cuts were made with some really old Spellbinders dies that I rediscovered tucked away under one of my tables.  Both sentiment panels were die cut using Layering Squares and Stitched Shapes dies. I colored the roses with a combination of my blends and markers. I am making relatively simple, basic layouts on these cards in order to showcase the sentiments, but feel free to go wild with ideas on how to use these!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Mother's Day Freebie Sentiment #1

I really had forgotten how much fun it is to create digital sentiments.  Here is the first in a series of sentiments for Mother's Day:

JPG
PNG
To download these, right click on the image and select the option "save as"  to save to your own computer.  I use a word processing program (like Microsoft Word or Word Perfect) to insert these into a document, size them appropriately and then simply print on heavy card stock and cut it out with either a punch or a die.

Here are a couple of cards I made using this sentiment:

Papers used: Poppy Parade, Basic Black, Whisper White, Gold Foil and Peaceful Poppies dsp.  I also used the Ornate Layers dies. and my Stampin' Up! markers. The sentiments were printed on white cardstock using my ink jet printer and then cut out.

These sentiments are created using my font and graphics collections.  The sentiments that I have created for this series are all simple Happy Mother's Day with different floral graphics.  In the past I have done different phrases celebrating moms, but this year I simplified things a bit.  I may resurrect a few of the older ones if anyone would like something different.  Just shoot me an email (link in the sidebar) or leave me a comment.  When leaving comments it is important to include your email address if you would like a reply or response from me.  Thanks!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Freebie Friday - September 29, 2017

Another week has flown by.  It has been very wet and cool here, but so far ... no snow!  I am pretty sure there will be some before Halloween, but it has prevented the kids from playing in the backyard on their swing due to the mud.  We harvested our single bunch of grapes from our vines.  They were very sweet and very small, but considering it is a 3 year old vine and these are the very first grapes - we are happy and have high hopes for the others next season.  Garlic will be going into the ground soon as well and we shall see what kind of crop we can get.  Considering the absolute failure of the garden to produce much this year, the soil will be getting a little compost help before we put the garlic in.  Fingers crossed!
Here is your freebie for today:

This weekend is our monthly gathering at the Rose Hill Grange.  Here's the card the campers will be making at my table:

We always have a fantastic time at this event and this month is even more special because we have a visiting demo from North Carolina - Wanda Williams!  I have missed her smiling face at our camps and demo meetings and it will be so fantastic to have her join us this month!  She is not only a very talented demonstrator, she is also just an awesome human being!  If you want some more information about this fun event:

Freebie Friday - September 22, 2017

Happy Fall everyone!  The days grow shorter and the nights grow longer.  The leaves are turning and the sweaters are coming out of the closet!  No snow yet though!  We have had blizzards in September here before and I am grateful that there has not been one this year!  Warm days and cool nights are just fine and the snow can wait just a few weeks more - please!

I have a freebie for you today, but once again no sample card - sorry about that.  I have tons of cards to share, but need to get them all cropped and ready.  Hang on, they're coming!  In the meantime here's this week's Friday Freebie:

Freebie Friday - September 8, 2017

Here is the card I created using this week's Friday Freebie:

JPG

PNG

This card was created using another of those fun backgrounds I created on my play date with my stamping buddies (thanks Bev and Cathy).  The paper was sponged with Distress Oxide inks and then a stencil was spritzed with water and laid onto the stamped paper.   This is a really fun techniquet.

The card base is Crumb Cake and the solid layer is Calypso Coral.  The scalloped oval is also Calypso Coral.  The stencil I used is from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks from Stampin' Up!
