IDF has announced that Jawaher ABu Rahma was not even at the violent, weekly Bil'in protest.
So how did Jawaher ABu Rahma die?
Apparently she died of cancer (probably Leukemia) - completely unconnected to the protest.
In fact, she was in a Ramallah hospital for 10 days prior to her death.
All her family's, the Left's, and the PA's statements about teargas poisoning are typical Palestinian lies and slander which are readily eaten up by the Left and gullible (synonyms for the same thing).
Now you know also why the PA refused to cooperate with the IDF investigation.
So the next time you hear an accusation from any of them against Israel. Take a deep breath, count to 10, and just ignore what they say.
--
Jameel is attending a special news conference with the IDF spokesperson at 9:30PM tonight specifically to discuss Bil'in. It will be a separate post.

Price Tag: Leftists deface Tel Aviv Public Property
Taking a queue from militant right wingers who demonstrate (and allegedly, sometimes violently) after Arab terror attacks or when Israel's government destroys settlement homes, anarchist and radical elements within Israel's leftist ranks have decided upon similar methods.
In "retaliation" for Israel stopping the flotilla from Turkey, leftists defaced the iconic Agam fountain and 2 others in Tel Aviv, spray painting slogans such as "Freedom for Gaza" and "Occupation=terror" around the fountain, and dumping red paint into the fountain's water, coloring it red.

The Committee to Lift the Siege on Gaza said in a statement, "More than 2,600 Palestinians have been murdered by Israel in the Gaza Strip alone in the past four years of siege, in attack from the air, sea and land. The only solution for stopping the bloodshed is by lifting the siege and ending the occupation through peace negotiations, by unilateral actions."(ynet -- photo above from the "Committee to Lift the Siege on Gaza")Unlike the "price-tag" actions allegedly assumed to be carried out by right wingers (though Israel's police and Shin Bet have not managed to indict a single person for any of the mosque vandalism, despite dozens of arrests and interrogations), the left wingers proudly left statements attesting to their vandalism.

When the Jewish Left become Useful Idiots
The other day I discussed the issue of the Gilad Shalit’s letter after one far left blogger found himself very confused regarding the truth.
The short version is that Gilad Shalit's family offered to support and mediate with the Israeli government on behalf of the flotilla to Gaza, provided that the flotilla “in addition to their demand that Israel lift its blockade they will urge Hamas to allow the soldier to receive letters and food packages from his family and allow international organizations to visit him.”
The Shalit family announced that the flotilla organizers outright refused their offer.
Afterwards, one flotilla passenger, Irish Senator Mark Daly said he was prepared to take the letters to the ICRC or UN representative in Gaza.
Apparently realizing their major PR blunder (one of many since then), the flotilla organizers have tried to use this to “disprove” that they denied the Shalit family request.
Now here is where our Jewish Useful Idiots come into action.
They began to question the account of the Shalit family. They began to say that RW bloggers were tellinglies untruths. They even claimed we merely use newspaper sources for our information (which I think anyone reading the detailed reports we’ve been first to release on this blog, long before the newspapers, know that to not be the case).
So our LW Jewish bloggers decided to get to the bottom of it. The Irish Senator Mark Daly was contacted and he responded.
The blogger writes as follows, Daly said that “he and two of his Irish parliament colleagues sent a letter to Noam Shalit offering to personally deliver letters and packages to the Red Cross in Gaza or to the United Nations Relief Works Agency in Gaza on behalf of their son Gilad. He said that in this letter he also committed to asking both agencies to do what they could to make it possible for Gilad to receive packages and visitors. Senator Daly also said he and his colleagues would "reiterate" their calls for Gilad's release while in Gaza.”
The LW bloggers are buying into this completely, while completely ignoring the very clear and actual differences between what was requested, and what was eventually offered.
It amazes me that these bloggers who will endlessly argue semantics over a single word to try to prove themselves right in any argument appear to be completely incapable of understanding the complete difference here between what was asked and what was offered.
The Shalit family offered a trade, a very straightforward trade:
Shalit requested: The flotilla would officially include as part of their official political position that Gilad Shalit should receive the most minimal of human rights given to any prisoner.
Flotilla refused: They would not include that message as part of their official position.
Daly offered: To take some letters and packages to the ICRC and UN – neither of whom have been permitted to see Shalit in 4 years. He promised that he and his 2 parliamentarian colleagues would “reiterate” their personal calls for Gilad’s release.
The official Flotilla website says, “Irish Senator Mark Daly (Kerry), one of 35 parliamentarians joining our flotilla, agreed to carry any letter and deliver it to UN officials inside Gaza.”
I know I need to spell it out in simpler language for those who willingly refuse to let it sink in, so here it is again.
Shalit asked that the Flotilla to add to their official position the message demanding Gilad Shalit’s basic human rights be granted.
The flotilla refused to add it.
A member of the flotilla agreed (as a PR gimmick) to pointlessly take some letters and packages to organizations that have absolutely no access to Gilad Shalit (and have already received numerous other packages and letters for Gilad that remain undelivered for years). Daly agreed to reiterate a personal message, that has ZERO connection to the flotilla’s official position and message.
I am trying to think how to make this even clearer, but it’s not possible. If someone wants to be fooled, and be a willing participant in this deception, there is not much one can do for them.
Anti-Semites, Jihadists, the radical Left and other who seek Israel’s (and Jewish) destruction are doing their best to delegitimize Israel through lies and deceptions, while leftist liberal Jewish bloggers become their accomplices by repeating those same arguments, even if they believe their intentions are for Israel’s own good.

Don't ignore the political angle
by Lurker
A number of people have complained about Jameel's recent post on the Anat Kamm spy scandal, objecting to the fact that Jameel addressed the issue of Kamm's political motivations for her crime. In a comment on the post, for example, tafka pp suggests that Kamm's politics are irrelevant to the issue:
Well, if she did it for "ideological reasons", then what ideology is that, exactly? I think we all know the answer to that. And why should the issue of that ideology, and its relationship to the criminal acts that the ideology spurred, be a forbidden topic of discussion?
Why should we tiptoe around the 800-pound gorilla in the middle of the room?
The Israeli media and leftist political leaders have been quite vocal of late in voicing their objections to the service of right wing religious people in the army, charging that their allegiance to their own ideological values trumps their loyalty to the State and the army, and thus poses a "threat to Democracy". The rightists' ideological beliefs, it is argued, makes them inherently disloyal.
So why, exactly, is it legitimate to raise these concerns about ideological rightists in the army, but illegitimate to raise analogous concerns about ideological leftists? This is a glaringly obvious political double standard, one that we would be remiss in ignoring.
It should be noted, too, that the supposed "threat" posed by ideological rightists in the army is their potential refusal of orders to forcibly expel Jewish families from their homes and destroy their communities. Such a refusal poses no immediate, tangible military threat to Israeli security. The threat posed by ideological leftists like Kamm, on the other hand, poses "a direct and real threat to the lives of IDF soldiers and Israeli citizens", in the words of GSS chief Yuval Diskin.
The left brands the phenomenon of conscientious objection by ideological rightists as a "threat to Democracy". These leftists (in a display of embarrassingly stupendous ignorance) define "Democracy" as the "Rule of Law" -- insisting that Israel be run as a "Medinat Hok" ("State of Law"), and that the law be strictly enforced with an iron fist against any rightist who dares to disobey a military order that conflicts with his or her conscience. But when it comes to a brazen leftist criminal like Anat Kamm, there is no such "threat to Democracy" perceived in her actions. On the contrary, in this case, it is the very suggestion that she should be prosecuted for her crimes at all that is branded a "threat to Democracy" by Kamm, Haaretz and their fellow travellers! Gone and forgotten by these leftists is all their self-righteous pontification about the "Rule of Law" and "Medinat Hok".
That is rank, outrageous, baldfaced hypocrisy.
So please, let's not kid ourselves into pretending that there is no "political angle" here. There most certainly is. The left would very much like us to ignore it, so that there will be nobody to object the next time they stir up a frenzy against a religious solder who dares to refuse orders to throw a woman and her children out of their home in the middle of the night. For right now, while the spotlight is on Anat Kamm, they would like us to forget about the sacred imperative to "obey orders", and how failure to do so "endangers Democracy". They would like to intimidate us into ignoring their hypocrisy.
I, for one, refuse to be intimidated.

There is a lot to discuss here and a lot to get shocked and angry over.I'm sorry, but there most definitely is a political angle here. A very, very big one. The media has reported quite unambiguously that Kamm did what she did for "ideological reasons", and even Kamm's attorneys do not deny that.
Yet The Muqata, for a reason unfathomable to me, chooses to present an entirely political angle...

Treason and Treachery by Israel's Leftists
Walla Gossip Reporter Anat Kamm
Soldier/Spy/Traitor.
Soldier/Spy/Traitor.
Today, an Israeli court ordered that the media blackout be partially lifted on the highly secretive case we reported on the other day.
Some of the newly released details are rather sordid and reveal the mindset of some of Israel's ideological leftists -- Anat Kamm, a soldier spy who illegally stole and copied to CD highly classified documents -- over 2000 of them, while serving as a soldier in the IDF's Central Command.
After leaving the IDF, Kamm became a gossip columnist for the Walla news/gossip site and passed the documents to a leftwing, agenda-driven reporter with Haaretz, Uri Blau.
Using these stolen, classified documents, Blau wrote an article in Dec. 2008 which discussed the killing of Palestinian terrorists by the IDF. Blau alleged that the army had held discussions which revealed that the IDF ignored High Court rulings in regards to the targeted killings. Blau claimed the killings were carried out following orders issued by the IDF, even in cases in which the wanted terror suspects could have been arrested.
In September 2009, Blau, via his attorney, handed the Shin Bet 50 of the stolen documents he had received from Kamm. Yet the IDF and Shin Bet's investigation revealed that Kamm had copied and later transferred more than 2,000 documents to the Haaretz reporter -- and Blau had lied to the Shin Bet when he said the 50 files was "all he had."
YNET reports that "some of the documents detailed plans for past and future IDF operations, summaries of meetings between senior IDF officers, combat doctrines, Central Command defense plans, ways of dealing with a possible flare-up in the territories and information on the deployment of IDF forces. "
The Haaretz reporter, Uri Blau has fled to London to avoid arrest by Israel.
With the details released for publication by Israel's court, Haaretz quickly ran to defend their reporter, saying that the Blau's articles were approved for publication by the IDF censor,. Haaretz criticized the Shin Bet:
"Haaretz regrets the sudden change in the Shin Bet's position and its consequences, which have resulted in threats and heavy pressure on a reporter who was just doing his job.
Of course, Haaretz makes no mention that their intrepid reporter knowingly used stolen classified documents, lied to the IDF, and failed to return 2000 stolen files to the IDF as he had agreed.
Now, Israeli intelligence sources are concerned that Blau is a target for hostile intelligence agencies towards Israel and they are already hunting down Blau in London. These agencies plan on exerting physical violence to force Blau to turn over the 2000 stolen, classified IDF files.
How ironic.
Blau's treason and treachery against Israel may end up getting him killed by anti-Zionist agents -- those aligned with the same groups he advocated for, as a leftist agenda-driven Haaretz reporter.

The dogs of Sheikh Jarrah
by Lurker
Have you ever wondered about what Arabs think of their Jewish anti-Israel fellow travellers? The video below might provide a hint. It's from one of the weekly demonstrations held by the radical left in the Jerusalem neigborhood of Shimon HaTzaddik (aka "Sheikh Jarrah")* .
In the video, several demonstrators can be seen getting arrested by the police. The overwhelming majority of the arrestees seem to be Israeli Jews. Meanwhile, starting at about 3:19 in the video, a woman in traditional Arab garb, looking on as these pro-Arab Jewish demonstrators are led away by the police, loudly shouts the following chant:
"Falasteene Bladna, al-Yahud klabna!"
This translates into:
"Palestine is our land, the Jews are our dogs!"
(It should be noted, by the way, that she did not say that the "Zionists" are the Arabs' dogs, or that the "Israelis" are their dogs -- she said that the "Jews" are their dogs.)
Now, this raises an interesting question: Who, exactly, are the Jews that this woman is describing as her "dogs"? Surely not the ones living in the building! While there is no question that the Arabs despise those Jews, it would be absurd to suggest that those particular Jews are playing the role of the Arabs' "dogs". Quite the opposite -- the Jews who live in Shimon HaTzaddik stubbornly refuse to obey the Arabs' will, and do not allow themselves to be intimidated into abandoning their heritage. Hardly what the Arabs would expect from their "dogs".
Clearly, the Arabs' "dogs" about whom the woman is chanting can only be the leftist Jewish demonstrators, who are being marched off by the police as she watches and grins. And very obedient "dogs" they are, dutifully and eagerly carrying out the desires of their Arab "masters", and basely seeking their masters' approval.
The woman seems quite animated and enthused about all the tricks that her "dogs" are performing for her. On their masters' command, they can sit, fetch, beg, play dead -- and even get arrested.
Now, since this video shows an Arab demonstrator in Shimon HaTzaddik shouting a disgusting antisemitic slur, you might assume that the video was publicized by a right-wing, pro-Jewish group, seeking to publicly expose the antisemitism and condescension of the Arab demonstrators at these events.
But then, you would be wrong: In fact, this video was publicized -- believe it or not -- by one of the leftist organizations that demonstrates regularly in Shimon HaTzaddik, as part of their effort to promote their anti-Israel agenda! (The organization, "Ta'ayush", which means "coexistence" -- is funded by -- guess who -- yes, the New Israel Fund.) Apparently, these leftist, anti-Israel Jews have become so accustomed and desensitized by their constant exposure to blatant antisemitism, that it didn't even occur to them that it might not be so smart to publicize a video in which one of their fellow Arab demonstrators declares that "the Jews are our dogs".
In fact, I would say that the most striking thing about this video is not the fact that an Arab said that Jews are dogs (which is hardly unusual), but the fact that the leftist organization that posted it saw nothing at all untoward or embarrassing about this.
Jews have always been particularly adept at convincing themselves that it's only raining while they're being spat upon. But as this video shows, groups like "Ta'ayush" have turned this pathological character flaw into a veritable art.
(For the record, I did a search to see whether "Ta'ayush" or any of the other leftist or Arab organizations who sponsor the demonstrations in Shimon HaTzaddik issued a condemnation of the "Jews are our dogs" chant. I failed to find any such condemnation.)
At 2:36 in the video, extremist anti-archaeology Rabbi Arik Ascherman of the grossly misnamed "Rabbis for Human Rights" (funded by -- surprise, surprise -- the New Israel Fund) can be seen urging all the demonstrators to come back the following week for more of the same.
One cannot help but wonder what the Jewish demonstrators -- especially the ones being led away in handcuffs -- thought as the loud Arab woman "thanked" them for their devotion and sacrifice toward the Palestinian cause, by proclaiming them to be the Arabs' "dogs" -- and in their very presence. Do you think any of them took offense at this vile affront to their people, and decided not to come back the following week?
I doubt it.
Hat-tip: ck of Jewlicious
* Some background on the Shimon HaTzaddik neigborhood:
Shimon HaTzaddik was a Tanna (Jewish sage of the Mishnaic period) and a Kohen Gadol (High Priest), who lived approximately 2300 years ago in Jerusalem. The neighborhood in question is named for Shimon HaTzaddik because his tomb is located there.
The neighborhood was built and settled by Jews in 1876. A community of poor Sefardic Jews lived there, until they were driven out during the Arab massacres of 1936, but they returned shortly afterward. In December 1947, the community came under attack once again by the Arabs, who drove them out.
Jordan did not allow the Jews to return to Shimon HaTzaddik after the war. The armistice agreement stipulated that Jordan would permit Jews to visit their holy sites, and the tomb of Shimon HaTzaddik was mentioned explicitly. However, Jordan did not abide by this agreement, and in fact shot dead any Jew who approached the border. (Similarly, Jordan did not allow Jews to come to the Western Wall, or to the ancient Mount of Olives cemetary, whose tombstones they desecrated and turned into latrines.) In addition, Jordan changed the name of the neighborhood to "Sheikh Jarrah", and populated the Jewish-owned homes with Arab settlers.
After Israel captured eastern Jerusalem during the 1967 war, the illegal Arab settlers were permitted to remain on the property, with the stipulation that they pay rent to the legal Sefardic Jewish owners. The Arabs refused to pay rent, however, and eventually the Jewish owners filed suit for the squatters' eviction. Several months ago, the Jews won their (rather open-and-shut) case in Israel's Supreme Court, and two illegal Arab settler families were ordered to vacate the premises. After they refused, they were evicted. Jewish families then returned to the Jewish-owned homes of Shimon HaTzaddik, for the first time since they were attacked and driven out in 1947.
From that point onward, radical Israeli leftists have been holding anti-Jewish demonstrations in "Sheikh Jarrah" every Friday. As a rule, the Israeli left purports to hold the "Rule of Law" as a fundamental value, and demands strict adherence to the rulings of Israel's Supreme Court, which they regard as the cornerstone of Israel's democracy. In spite of this, however, these same leftists are now stridently calling for the Supreme Court's ruling to be disregarded, and for the "Rule of Law" be abandoned: They are demanding that the State flout the Supreme Court's ruling by expelling the Jewish, legal owners of the Shimon HaTzaddik homes, and by allowing the illegal Arab squatters to return. Apparently, for Israel's leftists, the true value of "Rule of Law" and "Democracy" depends upon the ethnicity of whose ox is being gored...

Bnei Akiva Teens Slam Leftist IDF Objectors
Its not enough that Turkey's Prime Minister publicly slanders Israel, saying we fired phosphorous bombs on innocent children in Gaza. OK, so Turkey's Islamic community isn't friendly with Israel -- not overly surprising.
Its not enough that self-proclaimed "Zionist" Judge Goldstone slanders Israel that we [allegedly] committed war crimes in Gaza. Goldstone's slept through the testimony of Sederot citizens who were rocketed around the clock by Gaza for 7 years -- not overly surprising either.
Yet for a group of pseudo intellectual, left wing Tel Aviv highschoolers to bash the IDF and Israel as well -- well, it may be expected, but enough is enough. The 80 brats got lots of media attention by sending around a letter, calling on teens to refuse to serve in the IDF.
Luckily, the vast majority of Israel is not comprised of such spineless fools.
Outraged religious teenagers from the Bnei Akiva Youth Movement announced that the leftists who refuse to server may be 80, but we're 80,000.
In under a few hours, a counter letter was written, and has already been signed by 500 teens, with the numbers growing quickly.
Its obvious, but I'll leave that to the leftists who read this blog to provide a "defensible" answer.

The letter concludes by stating, "Our refusal to be soldiers of occupation derives from our fidelity to the values and society that surround us, and is part of our continuing battle for peace and equality, a battle whose Jewish-Arab character proves peace and coexistence are possible." (YNET)These are the Goldstones of tomorrow.

"We can't let the voice of one minority change the entire national mood to one big down," says 18-year old Eran Vider. He and his friends have decided to write a letter of opposition calling on teens to enlist and fight the evasion of army service. Why can't they at least perform national service?
"Every year we hear the voices of those calling for the evasion of service with ideological declarations, and this year we have decided not to remain indifferent or silent, to show that this is the opinion of a minority and that we, the youth of today, want to continue in the path of the founders of Israel," the letter says
"Really, we don't understand them," says Vider. "If they can't accept the holding of weapons, why can't they at least perform national service?" (YNET)

Tel Aviv Nightclub Targets IDF Soldiers
The popular "Rogatka" (slingshot) nightclub in Tel Aviv is refusing entry to IDF soldiers in uniform.
The faster the nightclub owners leave Israel, the better for everyone. Go somewhere peaceful, like Gaza.
IDF Uniforms are associated with oppression and genocide, and the IDF's violence is the reason for all violence in Israel, explained the club's workers.I feel bad for the people in Tel Aviv that have to put with up with this leftist garbage on a daily basis...and even worse for the IDF soldiers who wanted to visit the nightclub.
The ground rules of the club are clear: Naturalism, Pluralism, and no IDF uniforms -- anyone can visit the club on Yitzchak Sadeh street in Tel-Aviv, with any clothing style, except for IDF uniforms.
Two IDF combat soldiers who visited the club last week were forbidden entry. They were told they could switch to civilian clothes and come in, but it was forbidden to wear uniforms inside.
"It's nothing personal, but ideological. Your uniforms symbolize genocide and violence." they were told by club employees and guests.
One of the soldiers took off his IDF issued shirt, but his Unit's t-shirt didn't pass muster either...and they were told to leave.
IDF radio sent a solider from an elite unit to validate the claims. As soon as he sat down at the bar, employees came over to him and demanded that he leave.
"Your shirt symbolizes sh&^ and disgust," he was told, "and as soon as I see your shirt, it hurts me. So before I hurt you, I'm asking you to leave."
The elite combat solider replied, "I kill myself to protect you and you're throwing me out?"
Their response: "They pay you half of what you deserve. You aren't killing yourself. They are taking advantage of you, and you're a slave to the army...now leave." (source, translated from IDF radio via rotter)
