So here's Theodore because I did so well with Arthur 🙄👀🥰

Love these dies but the layers make me totally nuts.
My first experience was with Arthur (click link) and
it was annoying because I'm not real good at looking
at puzzles so it takes me awhile.
(Don't let me discourage you - but it's how I roll)
My amazing friend Holli gifted me both actually and even
though it makes me totally nuts I couldn't wait to use it.
Because there are different colors for different parts I decided
to make TWO.
Because why not.
Well....I put them both together and managed to leave
out the same piece for both of them.
It goes on the snout - more or less.
It also looks like it was glued by a 3 year old.
Sheesh!

Ole Theo actually turned out really cute so now I just need to hone my gluing and layering skills.

Mounted on a piece of TH paper and I got to use
my dragon fly punch on a neon green card.

I hope this encouraging.
And the dog tag too was just fun and I love that mutt.

TN - Hidden Journaling

Was able to meet up with Favorite Eldest Son
and had a wonderful visit.
Dined at the Red Arrow Restaurant and
hung out at our new home.
Because of the size of the photo I
just tucked some journaling in that envelope
that works so well on the pages.
Got some Tim Holtz words going on as well as
his bottle caps.
I love those bottle caps.
Tom, Gail and I also stood in line - an hour
minimum wait to devour the most famous and best
lobster rolls ever.
A lot of Food Network peeps endorsed Red's.
If you ever get there it is worth the wait.
So I'm getting a bit doily crazy but they are so pretty
and do pull everything together.
And those crabs (I don't have a lobster anything) had
to be the highlight and it's an itty bitty
little punch my pal Holli gifted me.
Perfect.

Rearranging things - last photo

This photo was in the master bath and was replaced by the Crater Lake
that finally printed correctly.
As a matter of fact, this is one of my all time fav pix that came out just right
so I wanted to keep things to a minimum.
I adore that moose.
Thankfully, Holli made a bunch for me LOL!
Put Yellowstone on your bucket list
(put all the national parks on your list actually).

It was fun replacing the old pix with the new.
I also replaced (while I was getting carried away) the pix of
the grandkids that are on the shelf above my scrappy desk.

Recollections, M's alpha stamp, punch
and masking tape and some netting underneath.

Rearranging things - New Printer photo

So from the previous post it was determined that
my purple printing photo printer needed to be retired,
this photo is the first photo from the new printer.
Much to my dismay it had lines down the photo from the rollers.
Not what you want to happen with a brand new printer.
So after trouble shooting that, there was a fix under utilities
to  click on paper abrasion and shazam.
I printed a new one that is now hanging in our bathroom.
 Aren't those geckos a hoot.
Again, I couldn't bear to toss it out and decided that it
should be scrapped too and there you have it.
The lines are right under the end of the word beautiful running vertical
down to the mountains.

Rearranging things - 8x10 photo

So this is a selfhi photo taken at the Grand Tetons.
I've written about it before, it's a fun story as in
me versus the timer on my new camera
and slim internet to get any answers.
There was success as you can see.
Anyhoo, this was hanging in the kitchen and I replaced
it the the beautiful photo of Mt. St. Helen's
(I have a blooper page of that coming up).
I decided to do an 8.5x11, that I do often
and scrap right on top of the photo.
DH and I do NOT do many selfies, however, we are getting better.
This photo is also in one of our road albums
and I'm sure I've scrapped an oversize page of this too.
So now there's plenty for the kidlets to fight over 😏
Studio Calico envelop, punch and title from stickers from the
Nat'l Park. (I've used a lot of those in this recent road trip album).

4th of July cards

Yea Yea I know it's early but since we may be on the
road during this holiday and I love making
and sending cards to the grands,
I decided to have them ready and just dropping them in
the mail wherever we may be.
We are heading out sometime in June maybe - so I'm also
putting together my scrappy supplies for the road.
It's quite interesting.

Scrapping on an 8x10 and a video

I have done this before because I really love
doing it when the photo rocks.
This cluster is the only embellishment going on
and I love how it turned out.
So either the sentiment or the #dreambig
can be the title.
Love this photo of Amelia overlooking the mountain
prior to taking off downhill on the slope.
It almost looks 3-D.
At 5 years old she's quite the snowboarder.
Below is a short video of her rockin' the slope.

Wordy background paper

I really loved this paper and it really rocks the photo I chose
 but its wordy.
So in looking at the photo which is adorable by the way,
I went through and squared (instead of circling LOL) phrases
that I loved and work with the photo
down the left side of the page.
Because of the circled phrases to the left I put my cluster to the right.
I wanted to use that "oh boy" because it just fit-especially the colors.
I scattered some stars about and really kept things simple.
So when I finally got passed the adorable faces and really
looked at the photo - Sam and Lou have
paint brushes in the hands - and look like they're on a mission
which should put fear in any adults heart LOL.
Studio Calico again- using the August and September kits up.

Overthinking a page

 Can drive you absolutely nuts.
Fortunately, I was hanging with my pal Holli and
we were scrappin' together at her place and after
bouncing some ideas off each other - she hit one!
Strips.
Doh!
So simple, yet fun.
So I whacked a few strips, put them behind the photo
and wa-la instant mat on a very colorful page.
And how about that adorable bird.
Sigh....
Holli also supplied the splat punch for that fun splat.
LOL....

I love this photo!
Lou totally exemplifies the fun I have in scrapping.
His enthusiastic crafting at his cousins
crafting party made me smile.
I feel the same way Lou when I have paint in my hand.
This turned out really fun and Holli once again
came through with the title!!
Studio Calico, Tim Holtz, one itty bitty piece of Basic Grey
and Michael's $1.50 bin (I'm telling you it rocks).

So I'm packing for our 2016 Summer Tour and its
a good think I looked at my lil album again.
I pretty much did a lot of stuff, so I just need to add journaling
and photos, but I did toss in some extras in case
I need to add more pages.

Strips for stamping on

The mists started off innocently enough
and then rethinking this corner
needed a little something-something right
before heading to bed,
I grabbed my mist, pulled out the mister and
shazam.
A big blob.
I just feel the need to explain this. LOL.
Now if you know how I mist, I have to take the mister and
really really really smack it around to get the mist
flinging around the page.
Not then.
Anyway in the Studio Calico kit came these
numbered strips.
They were headed for another page that didn't quite work out.
So I set them aside and they totally worked with this one.
I figured I'd break out the Technique Tuesday stamps
that have been laying around forever and use them.
I have mostly boy stuff, however, there were a few words
that could go either way.

Aren't those little arrow punches adorable?
I believe I've mentioned and used them before.
Best little impulse punch purchase ever.
And of course my homemade enamel dots.
I love the stamping, it helped with the lack
of journaling -
I also got to use the adorable and sort of transparent heart and also
that wooden sign which happened to be going in the right direction
for a change.
And here I thought that I wouldn't be able to work in all those pink/red hearts.

Studio Calico - on everything (except the dots and arrows).

A mis-spelled title or is it?

The photo is hysterical.
Makes me laugh out loud.
A play doh beard.
Very creative.
AND
I got to use another little bow.
Don't they make you swoon?
And that wooden thingy that looks like a tree trunk.
bwahahaha!!!
Couldn't find a mushroom.
SO
Let's address the title...I realized that after I stuck all the letters down.
And they weren't coming up.
I didn't want them to come up actually because
I love the spelling.
Play on my last name.
Love it.

More girly girl!

Check out my tutorial over at Off the Rails Scrapbooking!

And here's my page that has nothing to do with that. LOL.

Which is a shocker I know.
I'm so diggin' the girly.
Well I have 2 adorable girly girls to be girly with.

I designed the page without a photo or in this case photo in mind.
I really need to pay attention to the size of the
mats I make. This one turned out to be 5x4 or thereabouts.
Well of course the photo was designed with
3 pix on a 4x6.
Which worked out perfectly because I could whack them up.
A really adorable series so I really couldn't
omit any.

It was cool as I used a bunch of stuff my "don't know what
to do with and no other place to put them"
do-dad basket
that is totally out of control.

So Studio Calico rocks the day with some Basic Grey and thickers
and Martha Stewart doilies. Muted a bit with some gesso
and a bit of Heidi Swapp mists.

Again, these kidlets crack me up

And the Kaiser Craft papers work really well with this photo. In the background I used a stamp and some mists to give it depth. I was annoyed with my red because the pump would not work. Ran it under some extremely hot water. Nada. So I srpinkled it around and broke out some Heidi Swapp turquoise and sprayed that about. I think most of its covered up. LOL. There's some October Afternoon alphas - finally used them along with some Authentique. Got a bit of layers and used my semi-new honeycomb punch. Worked that baby in. ooo ooo and my new banner stamp from Sutdio Calico. Swoon.

Pssstt...you may need

a bigger moat.
Way too much fun - Cavin and Amelia sharing secrets on the beach. So this is the paper that was ditched and replaced - referencing that on this post.
I resurrected it from the trash can and decided it would be perfect for this photo along with some kaiser craft goodies. Its the perfect companion page for this page.
Studio calico papers & Mr. Huey mist, a grass punch that makes great splats.

Ready 2 Eat

Another fun photo -
Annie asleep with not one -
but several forks in her grubby lil mitt.
A girl has to be prepared.
You never know when a snack is going to come your way.
AFTER, I put the page together with my
new Studio Calico kit papers, wood alphas and astricks, I remembered
that this is a Christmas photo.
You can't see Owen but they are both
napping in their new sleeping bags.
How fun is that!
Well okay then, no harm no foul, because I won't be
blabbing and I'm sure you can keep this on the down-low.
I used my favorite flower punch and I had the
pink circle and tag. I used my
favorite heart punch for the heart papers (of which the strip is gone)
so your guess is as good as mine.
Therefore, moving right along - I forgot to mention the
cool new stamps from the kit that have been stamped on the photo.
In white ink.
Am I out of control or what.
I believe I have left enough room for journaling.

BTW - how do you like the new look? It needed to be refreshed because
I have had it the same way forever.
I added my first name to the title and wa-la it pops up in search
as a second choice.
Some lawyer with my name is first.
dammit :)
