Back covers of the new 7x10 album

I used the same colors as I used on the front and it
really worked well as it looks pretty similar to the cover which is pretty
cool since all the blowing makes it random.
Here's the link

Since I'm in a campground in a small town
with NOOOOO craft stores in sight
I used my aspirator or baby snot remover.
Again, it does get the job done, however, watching the vids
the actual tool I'm thinking it would work awhole lot better.
Go figure actually using the right tool.
LOL.

The alcohol inks are raspberry, pebble, clover, butterscotch 💓
wild plum and stream.
On the inside cover I used the oxides and not the sprays
and those really cool Inkadinkadoo stamps.
Added a couple of TH phrases and a stamped "frame"
that went sort of out of control.
It wasn't big enough to go around the entire saying
so I had to do it in increments.
Chaos results.

I'm not sure if I'm going to fill the guts with papers or just
wait and make the paper decision as I go.
I kinda like that - however, even if I fill it - I can and do
change and rearrange the papers sooooo....
if I neeeeeed something to do - I could whack some papers.

The colors are salty ocean, pine needles, festive berries and dusty concord.

My new Traveler's Notebook cover

I really had the best time making this - I'm still struggling with
blending everything together.
This was a combo of dyes and oxides and stamps.
Prima Stamps, the little girl stamp is my friend Holli's and
I have no clue (maybe Hero Arts) and the flowers
Stampendous.
The saying is Tim Holtz of course.

Mixed Media - Aquarium

It was a cold, rainy, damp day so along with everyone else
in Oregon we decided it was a good day to go to the aquarium.
It was an inside/outside aquarium so apparently
none of thought this through, however, in our defense none
of the brochures mentioned it was inside/outside.
It was an okay day.
The fish cooperated - not so much the sharks.
I did break out my sissix in order to get fun quickutz embellies
that are all about the sand, sea and surf.
I did tuck the receipt in the envelop and I need to add some journaling.

Studio calico,  love my Martha Stewart alphas, sissix, quickutz,

Birthday card for my girl

I knew the minute I saw this stamp that
actually belongs to my pal Holli,
that I would get a lot of use out of it and so far,
I have. I stamped quite a few.
Hoping to do a few more before we leave.
I knew this stamp would make a great card.
And that ice cream - does that not look real?
It's studio calico.
I used ranger inks and for the life of me can't figure
it was scattered straw or spiced marmalade and maybe
vintage photo.
It probably is vintage photo because the only
other brown I have is Van Dyke and I
know it's not that.
Maybe.
And a plain sentiment on the inside.
I stamped a few stars and confetti to jazz it up some.

Miss Amelia will be eight.
Where did the time go.
Seriously.

Gotta love ideas for cards from Pintrest!

How about these cute turkeys???
If I have to actually BUILD a critter, or thing, I need help.
Since I make about 12 of them, I like
something simple.
Doesn't get much simpler than circles, squares and stamps.
The feather stamp is from Dear Lizzy stamp set - one of my favs
and I used distress inks from Ranger.
The hat is made from one inch squares and the brim a thin strip
cut to size and I actually handwrote the sentiment and their feet.
Am I artistic or what LOL.
And who doesn't love googly eyes.
The nose & buckle were whacked out of some older
Studio Calico paper.
These little guys are a composite of the bunch of examples
I happen to come across.

Recollections cardstock.

Finally got that title....whew!

Most of you that know me, always know I'm
usually in search of a title.
April is my go to as well as my pal Holli,
my husband and and a title book that has
come through in a pinch.
This time I asked my blog buddies and you came through.
Thank you!
Pointing out Amelia's pretty red lips I came up with
"Sugar Lips".
And that brought me to remember a bouncy tune from Al Hirt
(a trumpet player) called Sugar Lips.
And didn't that just date me.
So I got my Wilna from in the mood to scrap from 2peas on.
I love her stuff.
There are mists, inks, stamping, glitter and paper tearing going on.
A lot of fun.
The thickers are the ones that you can "customize".
ooooooooooooo
So I did with Martha Stewart's glitter. Her glitter
isn't scary - because its like a salt shaker.
Just shake it on out and it mostly goes
where you shake it.
I designed this page and put it all together then
I needed to search for a photo.
And because of the pre-done mat I needed
a 2.5x4 photo.
I love the runs and dots of the ink amongst the
generous misting and stamping as an additional layer.
I also broke out the sewing machine to give
it a finishing touch.

Bazzill, Paper Studio, Primas, Ranger alcohol inks, Heidi Swapp & Mr. Huey mists, Abbey Road brads, MAMBI hearts, Thickers, Inkadoo stamp, Studio Calico do-dads & pattern papers.

The ghouls & goblins came next

Love the Bella Blvd papers, added clear stamps, some
ranger spiced marmalade and had some orange twine & dear lizzy
frames from another kit to use.
I bought additional papers in this line because I loved
the border strips and also the B side so I really really needed 2 more sheets.
JUST IN CASE.
Fun fun in the dress up department, Amelia is a cyclops monster.
Never heard of that, well I know about cyclops just not in a kid
friendly kind of way, Cavin was a soldier and Quintin a ninja.
Got all the bases covered.
I feel better already.
So I'm not sure if the flow is off kilter or just me. I became kind of
frustrated because I became all about the spiders and I left
them at home. I stamped spiders and tediously cut them out and used
some black gelato on them.
But I wasn't happy. So when I got home I hunted down
those elusive spiders I had in my stash
and replaced them.
They are way more believable and cooler than the ones I did.
And leftover stash from in washi tape from Halloween past.
Love that.

4 pages so far, if you're counting. I know I was because I was
totally shocked at how much I got done with all
the goofing around that was going on.
Because I participated in it all.
It couldn't be helped.
