Scrappy pages continues with more from Saguaro NP

There is an east and west side to the park on different sides
of town which allows for different
plants and species.
Also some exciting roads getting too and fro in the park.

Above and below was when we hung out and had
lunch at Jerome which is a totally cool
place to go. Also taking back roads and hanging on
Route 66 - so many things from yesteryear.

We also took the long - short cut to the Grand
Canyon. As we've been there 3 or 4 times - first time
for me on our honeymoon 💗
and it never fails to be it's beautiful self.

Not too much journaling on the canyon
but I did get chatty
about the drive over.

I also found I liked the pamphlets going that
direction, however, I'm afraid there may be some
inconsistencies. LOL.

Scrappy pages in my 6x8 album

Actually, all the parks have pamphlets of some sort
and it tells so much more than I would
wanna chat about in the journaling
which as you can see not.real.chatty.

Then there's OMGEE put stuff on the photos.
I like to think I was over that a long
time ago, but alas, I don't really mean it LOL,

So just to keep things steady on in my mind
for these photos I didn't add too
much embellies.
I did flip the pamphlet only because I punched
the holes on the wrong end but
found I love it because it sort of encompasses the 2 pages.
I do have to say, that the 3x4 page pockets
also present a challenge.
The majority - and I mean majority of my photos
are landscape.
Had to do some tricky photoshop although
I do admit that cactus are perfect for portrait.
I'm getting better.

Saguaro National Park - West

I had no idea that the Saguaro National park
was sooooo big.
This is the western part of the park
and of course cactus everywhere...........

The straw man standing in front is actually the skeleton
of a Saguaro cactus.

These are walking stick cactuses love the pretty color red.

Love the landscape it's wild and beautiful.

Traveler's Notebook - Love this life!

I decided, based on past TN's that it's not a good idea
for me to have photos on both sides.
Therefore, in the midst of the this TN that has been
going on for awhile, I'm changing
it up to have embellishments on the left, photos on the right.
And shake it all around.
😂
Also, I have run out of 4x6 photo paper (gasp I know)
BUT I have a ton of 5x7 so......
It's been interesting working with that size.
Below is a series of fun photos that me and my pal Christine
did looking for that ONE photo that doesn't make
one look goofy.
As you can see it took awhile and since we look goofy
anyway, why not roll with it.
I printed the photos 1.9 square to get them all in and
really like how the series turned out.
You can almost see the fun transparency which says Seriously LOL.

Using up my stash of project life cards is going really well.

Love the sentiment on this card and the old fashioned lady
and her little bouquet and buttons I fussy cut from a tag.

We had a lovely Labor Day with family at Ocean Beach.

Good food and lots of fun.

Of course one can't be in NJ without having pizza - like a lot.
Nobody does it better.
Love the thin cracker like crust - one can eat more.
Project life card fussy cut to the rescue again.
We didn't do much sightseeing but we did get to Twin Lights.
Very cool.

Studio Calico PL, QK spicy chicken, TH PL cards,
embellies and papers,
thickers.

Our travels through Illinois

GENESO CAMPGROUND
We hung around a few days and this is the view
of my walks along the canal.
It was beautiful!!!
There is also a launch for kayaks and looks
like an easy ride.

And there is a lock at one end of the canal.

From here we had overnighters as we beat feet to New Jersey where
we will hang for about 6 weeks.
On one of our overnighters we got to hook up with favorite youngest son.

Then on to Maine.
woohoo.

Our travels through Idaho

We stayed awhile here as well as it's one of our
Favorite states.
It's like #1 on the top ten.

TWIN FALLS-JEROME BRIDGE
 over the snake river...
the river that Evil Knievel jumped over but not here.
However,

It attracks base jumpers - apparently it has the school
to go to if you want to fling yourself off the
bridge with a parachute.
Some were packed, some not.

He wasn't packing...

and he landed near the zone.

SHOSHONE FALLS

It is stunning, gorgeous.

I made a video - I need to do this more.

RIGGINS

This is the Riverside RV park and it is beautiful. Behind
that picnic table is the Salmon River.
It has lush greens and flowers, fruit trees and a garden.
We have 2 weeks reserved for next year.
Best burgers ever.
It's a small town and I walked it every morning.

And then there was the rock slide.
