DeNami Product Spotlight, Balloon Trio

Today is product spotlight over at DeNami Design. The design team is showcasing Balloon Trio by having a DeNami blog hop. You should've arrived at my blog from Lisa Petrella's blog. If you visit each design team members blog and leave a comment along the way, you will be eligible to win this stamp! You can also add this fabulous stamp to your shopping cart and save 10%, one week only.

This stamp is so much fun and can really be used to create a variety of cards. This time I chose to  create a mini birthday card. Perfect to tuck in with any present.

I used some PTI cardstock and chose my balloon colors based on what copics I had to blend. I just realized that they are almost the same as the product spotlight image. lol. I inked up Balloon Trio and Happy Monster w/Balloons and colored them in. I inked up Happy Birthday from Thoughtful Greetings petite four. To finish off my card, I added some clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh using crystal lacquer.

Well that is all from me today. Thanks for stopping by!

DeNami Inspired By Jen

Happy Wednesday! Today I have a card to share with you for this month's DeNami Inspired by
post. Today the DT and I are sharing our creations inspired by Jen. You can find her original card here.

I chose 4 elements from her card to create mine: balloons, animals, patterned paper and twine. I actually wanted to incorporate more, but my poor CAS brain was overwhelmed. Despite my attempt to create little clusters of elements on my card, I went back to CAS.

For my card, I inked up Little Duck and colored it in with copics. Then I inked up Balloon Trio several times, once next to Little Duck and then onto some patterned paper and did some paper piecing with my Quickie glue pen. Then I used my circle nestability to trim out my image. I inked up my sentiment from Thoughtful Greetings and used my scissors to trim it out. Then I tied a bow using twine from my Summer Pack and attached it using Cyrstal Lacquer.

That is all for me today. Please be sure to stop by the DeNami blog to see what Jen and the rest of the team has created.

Happy Birthday Phil!

Hello! Today I am popping in with a card for this month's CAS-ual Fridays Challenge. I was pretty excited when I saw the theme early this month. It's unfortunate that I am just getting around to playing along. When I saw this theme, I knew that I wanted to CASE myself. I created this card a couple of weeks ago, and I thought it would be a perfect for this challenge.

The theme to this challenge is to create a  guy card and you are not allowed to use kraft at all. And the catch is that you have to use some sort of ribbon.

I created this birthday card for my father-in-law, Phil. His actual birthday was yesterday, so he has already received this card. I love aqua and orange together and I thought it would perfectly with gray cardstock. I inked up Lotsa Links in Aqua Mist ink for my background. Then I inked up Rad for my sentiment and colored a portion of it with an orange copic. The ribbon tab is Orange Zest from PTI.

That is all for me today. Have a great rest of the week!

DeNami Design Product Spotlight, Congratulation Circle

Hello friends! Today is product spotlight over at DeNami Design. The design team is showcasing Congratulation Circle. You can add this fabulous stamp set to your shopping cart and save 10%, one week only.

One thing that I love about DeNami stamps is their versatility. Although it is graduation season, I chose to ink up this stamp to congratulate someone on the birth of their baby. I inked up Congratulation Circle and used my circle nestability to trim it out. Then I stamped Onesie in the center and colored it with my copics. I adhered some patterned paper that I had from my kiddos birthday party last year. I think rainbows are gender neutral, so I thought it went well with my gender neutral baby card. I trimmed out a piece of white cardstock on an angle and adhered that on top of the patterned paper. Then I adhered my stamped image with foam adhesive.

Make sure to stop by the DeNami Design blog to see what the rest of the design team has created. Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Friend

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was busy with a birthday party and lots of tennis. My nephew was in town playing in a huge tournament and I am so proud of him.

Today I have a card to share over at the DeNami Design blog. Here is a sneak peek.

Since I had some of my stamps out, my daughter Leah wanted to use some of them too. She inked up Large Butterfly and colored it in with my copics. She also inked up Flower Bloom in green ink and colored it in as well.

That is all I have for you today. I will be back on Wednesday with a DeNami product spotlight. Thanks for stopping by!

DeNami Design Bright Blossoms blog hop

Welcome to the DeNami Design Bright Blossoms blog hop. This is the last blog hop until the fall, so I hope you have a chance to visit all of those that are participating. You should've arrived from Wendy's blog. If you get lost, you can head back to the DeNami Design blog for a full list of participants. The next stop along the hop is my daughter Leah. She was so excited to be able to participate in the hop.

When I started to create for this hop, I had been playing around with my watercolors and embossing powder using Small Bold Hibiscus. She loved what I was doing, so I showed her how to use versamark and embossing powder. Of course, I used my heat tool since she it too little, but she did all the rest with the stamping, powder, watercolors and trimming out her flowers. She used Medium Bold Hibiscus and Small Bold Hibiscus for her card. She opted not to use a sentiment.

The next stop along the hop is me. I chose to use Medium Bold Hibiscus for my card. I stamped it several times and colored them in with my copics. I opted to only shade in a few of them.  Then I inked up Hope Blooms and used my circle nestability to trim it out. I attached it to the cardfront using foam adhesive.

Your next stop along the hop is Pattie. I love her style and I can't wait to see what she has created.

Don't forget about the THREE gift certificates that will be given away! One gift certificate will go to a random participant and TWO gift certificates to TWO people who comment along the hop! You have until June 9, 2014 11:59pm PST to comment and be eligible.

DeNami Design Product Spotlight, Diploma

Today is product spotlight over at DeNami Design. The design team is showcasing Diploma by having a DeNami blog hop. You should've arrived at my blog from Lisa Petrella's blog. If you visit each design team members blog and leave a comment along the way, you will be eligible to win this stamp! You can also add this fabulous stamp to your shopping cart and save 10%, one week only.

The inspiration for my card came from this card from former DeNami DT member, Laurie. When I saw her stripes, I knew I wanted to ink up Three Line Border for my background. I inked up Diploma, colored it in with my copics and then trimmed it out. I stamped my Congratulations sentiment on a white panel that I adhered on an angle. I tucked in a piece of some PTI saddle stitch ribbon and added my diploma with foam adhesive. I love the simplicity of this card. It kind of reminds me of a clipboard.

Well that is all from me today.

DeNami Design Up, Up and Away blog hop

Hello friends and welcome to the DeNami Design Sky's the Limit blog hop. I hope you have found tons of inspiration along the way. DeNami has such a variety of stamps to fit this theme, it was difficult to choose which stamps to use.

You are at the last two stops along the hop. You should've arrived from  Rachel's  blog. If you get lost, you can head back to the DeNami Design blog for a full list of participants.

Next up along the hop is my precious daughter, Leah. This is what Leah had to say about her card:

"On the picture, you'll see violet that is magic from the fairy chickie. It is sending the kite back down because it is charging at her. The balloons all have the same design because they are all bought at aqua, chocolate brown red heart. And her husband doesn't have wings because he was born out of a normal chickie and his wife was born out of a fairy chickie. So when it's her birthday, he has to ride in a hot air balloon to come. And her  husband lives on ground and his wife lives in the sky. And that is what I have to say about my card."

To create her card, she inked up Flower Fairy Chickie, Small cloud, Balloon Trio, Fly A Kite and Chickie in Balloon. She colored her images using my copics. Pretty soon she is going to need a set of her own. She loves to go over to the wall where I have my copic sheet hanging and pick out her colors.

So your last stop along the Sky's the Limit hop is me. It was difficult to choose which stamps to use. I really wanted to use some of my older stamps that I haven't inked up in a while, but I went with using a bit of old with the new.

For my card, I inked up Rainbow and colored it in with copics. Then using my quickie glue pen, I applied it to the red and sprinkled on some Ruby Red glitter. The  next color I actually colored in with a yellow copic, but sprinkled on some Champagne glitter. This made it a muted orange. The next band of the rainbow was colored in green, but then tuned a bit yellow after sprinkling on some Citron glitter. Lastly, I used some Aquamarine glitter on my blue band.

I stamped Small Cloud twice on a separate piece of cardstock and trimmed them out with scissors. I stamped my sentiment Count Your Rainbows. Then I attached my clouds using foam adhesive. I added my image panel to some blue cardstock to finish off my card.

Don't forget about the THREE gift certificates that will be given away! One gift certificate will go to a random participant and TWO gift certificates to TWO people who comment along the hop! You have until May 19, 2014 11:59pm PST to comment and be eligible.

DeNami Design Product Spotlight, Wavy Stem Trio

Today is product spotlight over at DeNami Design. The design team is showcasing Cross and Vines by having a DeNami blog hop. You should've arrived at my blog from Lisa Petrella's blog. If you visit each design team members blog and leave a comment along the way, you will be eligible to win this stamp! You can also add this fabulous stamp to your shopping cart and save 10%, one week only.

For my first card, I inked up Stitched Circle in gray. Then I then I inked up Wavy Trio Stem in green and stamped it in the middle of the circle and colored the leaves with copics. Then I added some buttons using crystal laquer. I then used my circle nestie to trim out my image. I used my stamp press to place my Happy Mother's Day sentiment and then attached my image using foam tape.

For my next card, I used a grey card base and created my focal image in the same manner as above. This time, I trimmed it square and matted it with green cardstock. I stamped my sentiment from Thoughtful Greetings and punched it out with my one inch circle punch.

Well that is all from me today.

DeNami Buttons and Bows blog hop

Hello friends and welcome to the first stop along the DeNami Design Buttons and Bows blog hop. We hope you find tons of inspiration along the way. If you get lost, you can head back to the DeNami Design blog for a full list of participants. The first participant of the blog hop is my daughter, Leah. Now I realize that she is my daughter, but her creativity astounds me.

For Leah's card, she started off with some yellow cardstock for her cardbase. She wanted to use some of my most decorative buttons that she could find and she did a pretty good job. She wanted to tie bows of twine through her buttons. She tied all of these bows by herself. She wanted to create a little girl using her buttons so she chose a heart button to represent her heart. And since she wanted her in a field of flowers, she chose flower buttons and drew her stems and leaves with markers. She added a sun in the top left corner. When I asked her about a sentiment for her card, she did not want it to be a birthday card. I immediately thought of Hope Blooms and she said that it was perfect.

Here is what she had to say about her card:

"I made the human just to have a little bit of detail. But when I found out that I could choose from a lot of buttons, I decided to make flowers. And that's why it looks how it is."

Next up along the hop is right here. Me.

For my card, I used some soft stone cardstock for my base. I used a technique that I learned from Kristina Werner using vellum and copics. I used my butterfly die on the soft stone cardstock front panel. Then I used two different shades of blue and one green marker on the vellum scrap paper. I attached this to the inside using my ATG. Then I added a piece of white scrap cardstock behind it to really showcase the color. I stamped Get Well Soon for my sentiment. I added an aqua boutique button which I threaded 1/4 inch silk ribbon and tied a bow. I used this same technique on this card that I created for Pin-spired. Lastly I added some patterned paper to the bottom of my card.

Next up along the hop is the extremely talented Greta. She is the sweetest and always has such kinds words to share. I love seeing what she creates.

Don't forget about the THREE gift certificates that will be given away! One gift certificate will go to a random participant and TWO gift certificates to TWO people who comment along the hop! You have until April 14, 2014 11:59pm PST to comment and be eligible.

Have a great rest of the week! Happy hopping!

DeNami Design Product Spotlight, Happy Easter

Hello friends! Today is product spotlight over at DeNami Design. The design team is showcasing Happy Easter. You can add this fabulous stamp set to your shopping cart and save 10%, one week only.

For my card, I kept it CAS and crisp using only white cardstock. I stamped Lily onto some cardstock, colored it with copics and then trimmed it out. I added another white panel on top of my cardbase. I used Happy Easter for my sentiment and then added my lily using foam adhesive. To finish off my card, I used some Crystal Laquer to adhere some Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

One Layer Simplicity, Merci

So, as promised, I have returned to share my daughter's card for the One Layer Simplicity challenge.

Saturday morning, when I was in my craft room creating my card, she told me, "I haven't made a card for a blog hop in a long time." Quite often she creates a card and plays along with the DeNami Design blog hop. The current hop is a week away, but this little avid crafter created her card 2 weeks ago. So she was itching to create a card. I explained to her the theme, we discussed the stamps that I have in my stash and she got busy making her card.

To create her little scene in France, she inked up Cafe Chickies and colored it in with copics. Then, she drew her Eiffel Tower using a colored pencil. I do not really have many foreign language sentiments, so she inked up Merci from CAS-ual Fridays Big Thanks. Then to create her skyline, she inked up Chickie in Balloon and Small Cloud and finished her coloring. In case you do not know, my little girl is only 6 1/2 years old.

Even though I do not have an Eiffel Tower stamp, that did not stop her from creating her little café scene in France. She even told me that she could draw France. I love that she doesn't let little things hold her back. She is so creative and I learn so much from her when she crafts.

Thanks for stopping by. Your kind words will make her day...week!!

Sending You Sunshine, One Layer Simplicity

Hello friends! On Saturday, I had hoped that I would be back with another card to cheer on my Florida Gators, but sadly they couldn't pull off the win against UCONN. Oh, well. They had an awesome season to be extremely proud of.

Today I have a card to share with you for the current One Layer Simplicity Challenge. This month's challenge is to create a travel themed card: a destination or mode of transportation to get there. For my card, I created a square mask using some scratch paper and removeable adhesive. I used a sponge to ink up the perimeter of the card using PTI's Aqua Mist ink. Then I inked up Palm Tree Silhouettes in Rich Cocoa Memento ink, wiped off the leaves with a baby wipe and then inked up the leaves in New Leaf. I used my copic marker to add a bit of shading underneath. I used Small solid circle to represent the sun and then added Sending You Sunshine for my sentiment. I missed the last two challenges, so I am glad that I found some time to play along with this one.

My daughter, Leah, saw my card and was inspired to play along as well. I will be back to share her card in a little bit. Let me just say that I love her imagination and creativity!

Go Gators, Final Four!!!

Hello friends! Sorry the blog has been quiet as of late. When the creative juices aren't flowing, then there isn't much creating going on.

This morning, however, I managed to crank out this CAS card. I simply had to give another shout out to my beloved Florida Gator basketball team. Tonight they face off against the Huskies of UCONN. I am pretty excited and nervous at the same time about this game. You see, the Huskies beat the Gators in the regular season back in December by one point. The Gators played without their starting point guard, Scottie Wilbekin. So I am excited to see how the Gators bring their "A" game for some sweet revenge. This was also the last game that the Gators lost. Yes, that was waaaaay back in December.

For my card, I inked up Retro Borders 1 set in orange in blue ink on an angle. I recently purchased the Fiskars stamp press. Why on earth I never bought it earlier, I'll never know. I am totally in love. Anywho, I also inked up the basketball chickie from the All Star Chickie set and used my circle nestie to trim him out. I decided to leave out a sentiment because ... well, I just couldn't quite figure out where I wanted to put it.

That's all for now. I hope to be back soon to share another card for my Gators when they make it to the finals! Have a great weekend!

DeNami Design Inspired by Kim S.

Hello friends! Today I have a card to share with you for this month's DeNami's Inspired by
post. Today the DT and I are sharing our creations inspired by the lovely Kim S. You can find her original card here.
Here card showcases one of the new woodland stamps , so I inked up some from the same collection.
I kept my card design similar using some aqua striped pattern paper over my card base and keeping the main panel white. I stamped Woodland logs and colored it in with Copics and added Little Skunk. I inked up Little Fox, colored him in as well and them trimmed him with scissors. I attached him using foam tape for a tad bit of dimension. I stamped Hello Foxy and trimmed it out in a banner like I did during release week. I love that look with sentiments. Then I broke out my Fiskars cloud punches. I haven't used those punches in about two years. Yikes!!! I added some Martha Stewart coarse glitter around the edges to bring out some shine like Kim's sequins. Lastly I tied a twine bow.

I hope you are inspired by Kim's gorgeous creation and can find some time to create your own woodland inspired card. Be sure to visit the DeNami blog to check out what the rest of the design team created. Thanks for stopping by!

DeNami Design Product Spotlight, Cuddly Pals

Hello friends! I hope you have been having a wonderful week so far. Today is product spotlight over at the DeNami Design blog. The design team and I are showcasing Cuddly Pals. You can add this fabulous stamp set to your shopping cart and save 10%, one week only.
I know, I know. You may be thinking that you have stumbled across someone else's blog. But you are in the right place. This is not my typical CAS card. Truth be told, I decided to challenge myself: 1.To use supplies I have not used in a very long time 2.To create something out of my comfort zone. So I hope I did this card some justice.

I started off with a rustic cream base cardstock and then added some layers of patterned paper. Next I inked up Modern Borders in kraft ink and adhered it to some kraft cardstock. Then I die cut it using my nestie labels one. This was one of the first nesties that I bought. I inked up the doggie image from Cuddly Pals, colored it on with my copics and then used my 1 inch circle punch. I tied some wrinkled ribbon in a double bow and added my image on top using foam adhesive. I die cut more cream cardstock and stamped Friends Fur ever in brown ink. And to finish off my card, I added some Sparkling clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

That is all for me today. Make sure to stop by the DeNami Design blog to see what the rest of the design team has created!

DeNami Design Fuzzy Friends blog hop

So glad that you have stopped by today. I have a card to share with you for this month's DeNami Design Fuzzy friends blog hop. You should've arrived here from Lyndal's blog. If you get lost along the way, you can head back to the DeNami Design blog for a full list of participants.

For my project, I wanted to recreate my very first card that I made using DeNami stamps. When I was a Girl Friday at CAS-ual Fridays, DeNami sponsored one of our challenges and the team received some fabulous product to work with. You can see my first card here.

For today's card, I inked up Elephant onto some gray cardstock and cut him out. I used my notebook die to die cut some cardstock and adhered some graph paper to the front. I attached my elephant using foam adhesive and then added my Stomping By sentiment. I wrapped some twine around the bottom. For the rainbow chevrons, I inked up Modern Borders in rainbow fashion. This piece was actually a remnant of another project that I never parted with because I just knew it would some day find it's way onto a card front *wink*.

So your next stop along the hop is right here. My 6 1/2 year old daughter, Leah, created a card for the hop. She decided to pick out as many chickies that she could find between her stash and mine, and then lined them all up.  She started off with them lined up in two rows, but when she actually went to start stamping them she realized that she could fit more in a single row.  I helped her trim her cardstock and that was it.

She told me that when she was designing her card, she lined up the chickies on the bottom because they are watching a movie. The pink on her Chickie and Butterflies is ink that came off of another image she colored. She used Fuzzy Ball and drew her own beak and legs and created her own eyes with a blue copic marker. Do I have a stamp illustrator in the making? lol. Here is what she has to say about her card.

"My card is a movie card. All those fuzzy creatures are watching the movie. You see that chickie fairy up there? That makes the show work. After the chickie catches the butterflies, a hot air balloon is supposed to come. But something was wrong with the movie because the chickie fairy was in the living room. The reason why they had the movie is to say "I 'm sad that you have to go away tomorrow. Because that's when the surfer chickie moves to Hawaii. And also she promised that they  would be together forever. What would she do? She would vanish forever."

Okay, so that was quite the dialogue. I hope you have enjoyed your visit here today. Your next stop along the hop is none other than the super talented and so sweet, Paulina. I am on the edge of my seat to see what she created.

Don't forget about the THREE gift certificates that will be given away! One gift certificate will go to a random participant and TWO gift certificates to TWO people who comment along the hop! You have until March 9, 2014 11:59pm PST to comment and be eligible.

Have a great rest of the week!

For my card, I started off by using my Diagonal Stripes embossing folder on green cardstock. Next, I added a layer of white cardstock that was embossed with my Woodgrain embossing folder. It's a bit hard to see in the photo, but I love the layered look of these two folders. I stamped Irish Chickies and colored it in with copics and stamped Good Luck for my sentiment. I added a twine bow to finish it off.
