CPS#100 Contest and ODBD sneak peek #3!
I cut out the circle and circle shadow with my Cricut machine then ran it through my Cuttlebug using a small rectangle Nestabilities die. I stamped the scripture on another circle piece and mounted it behind the first set of circles to create a little "shadow box".

Mojo Monday Challenge, ODBD sneak peek #2 and CHA!
As I said in my previous post, I ADORE this upcoming Our Daily Bread Designs set called May God Hold You. This and two other new sets will be released Feb. 1 so make sure to stop on by and grab yours because I know they will be flying off Kelley's shelves!!! Here is my card:
I watercolored the leaves and added Celery Shimmerz and glossy glaze over them, then popped a few of them out for dimension. I colored the center of the medallion with Spiced Cider Shimmerz, added Platinum Stickles all around and a flatback pearl in the center. I popped out the medallion, too. I stamped the same medallion on clear shrink plastic to create the charm hanging from the bow. I've also been enjoying the Ornare corners and Prism cardstocks lately so I incorporated those as well! The Shimmerz, Ornare templates and Prism cardstocks can be found at the ODBD store :).

Winter CHA was amazing!! What was even MORE amazing were the women from Our Daily Bread Designs....thank you Kelley, Judy, Jane and Amy for your friendship and knowledge of the big, wide world of stamping!!!

Our Daily Bread Designs February Sneak Peeks!
I had so much fun working with the sets! As soon as Kelley mailed them out I was stalking our mail carrier...LOL! Needless to say as soon I got them I ran to my craft room and started to play.
For the first card I used the I Am The Way set which is geared towards the blessings of Easter. I splashed on alcohol inks to color the flowers. I will have a tutorial up for that sometime this week so be on the look out for that! I also based my card on the SCS212 challenge using this sketch:
When Kelley showed us the May God Hold You set we were all drooling over it! I am not Irish (as if that was hard to figure out! LOL!) but I have always loved this Irish blessing that I used as the main image. I just tore the paper in the middle to create a frame to "expose" the sentiment. I created this for the CC203 Breezy Pacific Garden challenge over at SCS. Please visit the rest of the ODBD DT's blogs to see their beautiful creations! Hop on over to my blog again tomorrow as I will have a slide show up of my trip to the Winter CHA 2009 convention!

I'm going to CHA with Our Daily Bread Designs!!
For now, while I'm trying to contain my excitement, here is a card I did for the BVC09 challenge over at SCS using the ODBD set He Is Risen. I stamped the scripture with black StazOn ink on acetate then brushed on some off-white acrylic paint on the back. I mounted the acetate over a piece of decorative paper...easy peasy! I also used an Ornare corner template which can also be found at ODBD HERE.
ODBD will also be releasing brand new sets for February so please come back to see my sneak peeks as well as the rest of the DT...you won't be disappointed because the sets are just GORGEOUS!

I interrupt my regularly scheduled cards for some CUTENESS!!
This is the one we are keeping :). When she opens her eyes I will host a Name This Girl Pup contest and the person who gives us the perfect name for her will get some blog candy! So, get your thinking caps on!!
Sadly, this is the pup that died. We called him Moo-Moo because of his cow spots. I told my sons that their Tata now has a puppy to play with in Heaven.
So please stay tuned for my Name This Girl Pup contest and blog candy!

He Is Risen & Joseph's Coat Reversed Tutorial
This time I wanted to use an old technique called Joseph's Coat, but with a bit of a twist. I hope you all will give this a try!
Gather up your materials:
*stamps
*glossy cardstock
*3 coordinating ink pads
*black ink pad
*Versamark or embossing pad
*clear embossing powder
*brayer
*sponges (not pictured)
*anti-static bag
Stamp the image you want as the focal point in black ink.
Take your two light colored ink pads (SU Positively Pink and Barely Banana in this case) and starting with your lightest color sponge it over and around your focal image. Do the same thing with your next color, making sure to leave some white spaces.
Pour clear embossing powder over it.
Heat until embossing powder melts.
Ink up your brayer with your darkest ink color (I used SU Certainly Celery) and cover the entire piece of glossy cardstock.
Let ink dry then buff away excess ink on background image with tissue.
Complete your card :).
