Time Out Challenges Reminder

Hi friends!

I'm here to remind you of our current challenge at Time Out. We have one of our theme challenges for you and this time the theme is Relaxation. If you choose to use our Optional Twist and make a one layer card you have a chance to win a $25 voucher to our sponsor Newton's Nook

In my card I'm using Newton's Book Club stamps and Newton's Book Club dies. I find reading very relaxing and even more so when reading next to someone you really like! :) For the background I used an Echo Park backgorund stamp, stamped with white pigment ink on navy card for a subtle night sky. The Newton image is colored with Copics.  I added a paper strip with black lines to the left edge of the card, I felt it needed some black. :) I hope you like it, I think it turned out very cute!

Please head on over to our challenge blog for all the challenge details and for more inspiration from our design team and guest designer Marieke . Play along and you could be chosen to guest design as well! Happy crafting!

This card is made for a special someone in my life!

Inky Paws Challenge: Summer theme
When July turns into August here in Finland the evenings begin to darken again... a good way to enjoy those dark nights is to curl up with a good book with someone you love!

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi guys!
We have a new challenge for you at Less Is More for the next fortnight! This time it's a color combo:

Very beautiful color combination, I hope you'll agree! Can't wait to see what you'll create. Lots of more DT inspiration HERE. In the challenge blog your also find out all the details on how to play and how to get a chance to win a prize from our monthly sponsor Seven Hills Crafts. Our guest designer this time is Lynne and I love the artsy card she created for us. Don't miss it!

I needed to create my card a bit in a hurry so I ended up using dies. I hadn't played with this Echo Park flower die yet so decided it's time it came out to play... It's so delicate and pretty but a bit oddly shaped, I had real trouble finding a nice layout! I cut the flower cluster from patterned paper that has a watercolor look -love how the different shades of color add interest to the die cut without me needing to do anything extra to it! :) I finished the card with a couple of sequins and a simple white heat embossed sentiment.

Thanks for popping by and i hope to see you playing along!

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi friends!
I'm here with my DT car for our new challenge at Less Is More:

As always, our DT has made wonderful samples for you HERE. In our challenge blog your also find all the info about how to play along and how to have a chance to win a prize from our June sponsor, Uniko! Uniko owner and designer Bev is also joining us as guest designer. Yay!

In my card I've used stamps by My Favorite Things and Echo Park (the bg stamp). I was a bit hesitant with this being CAS enough due to the bg which is a little bit busy and covers 2/3 of the card... But after softly inking part of it behind the bear the rest of the bg seemed to "pull back" a little bit. Also since it's heat embossed with white you clearly see it only when tilting the card in your hand... What do you guys think, CAS or not? I hope CAS!!! :) The bear is colored in with Copics and the sentiment is also heat embossed with white.

Thanks for popping by and I hope to see you joining us!

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi friends!
It's time for the weekly Less Is More challenge and this Saturday we have one of our theme challenges for you! The theme is "Take Flight". Our design team has wonderful samples for you HERE, don't miss any of them!

My first card is an all-white card created with a STAMplorations die cut butterfly, starry-galaxy type of Echo Park background stamp and Altenew sentiment. I heat embossed the background and the sentiment. This is actually my card nr 2, my first attempt is the second card of this post... It ended up to be on the edge of not-CAS so it didn't find his way to our challenge blog. :) I do like this all-white card but what a pain it was to photograph, goosh! I added a detail photo for you to have a closer look.

With this all white card I'd like to join:

Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Clean and simple
ModSquad Challenge: Heat embossing
Simon Says Monday Challenge: It's written in the stars

Below is the second card... It was nicely CAS before I ended up die cutting the wonky edges to the card base and making inlaid die cutting with the pieces -it looks ok in the photo but IRL it's pretty layered and "full". Love this backgorund stamp though, I have many ideas for it!

Before going I'd like to remind that in the month of September we are glad to be sponsored by Happy Little Stampers. Play along for the chance to win!

Thanks for popping by!
