Maddie with Glasses Bookmark with Paper Nest Dolls

Good morning all!  I have a fun watercolor bookmark for you today featuring Maddie with Glasses from the Paper Nest Dolls :)

Paper Nest Dolls Watercolor Bookmark Leah Tees

I used my Prima Watercolor Pencils to color her on some Prima Watercolor paper.  This pad of paper is 3 inches by 6.25 inches and is the perfect bookmark size!

I love to watercolor and this is one of my most favorite of the dolls, so why not combine the two!  The sentiment stamp is from my stash, and I used my Cotman water colors to complete the blue background.

I hope you enjoyed my inspiration project this month for the Paper Nest Dolls!  Don't forget our challenges run for the whole month and the theme is always Anything Goes!

When I watercolor I like to work on three or four projects at a time, this gives me something to do while I wait for my layers to dry.  And this project was no different...stay tuned on Friday for the other two projects I completed!

Troll Ellie appreciates kindness :)

Hello all from the weirdly warm Northwestern Ontario!  Seriously, it's plus 9 Celsius here today.  That is so weird for us for February!  This is when we would normally be having minus 30 degree weather!  Now, don't get me wrong, I like the warmth, but it also makes me wonder what is coming...

So on that note, I couldn't help but color up a fun and spring themed thank you card for Paper Nest Dolls this week :)  I colored "Troll Ellie" for this card and paired her with some Webster's Pages paper.  I added some die cuts to match and some Nuvo Crystal Drops, and here she is!

You can find the digital stamp version of this image in the online shop at Paper Nest Dolls.

Come and join us for the monthly challenge, you still have time!  The theme is always Anything Goes :)

See you soon!

Gorjuss "Heartfelt" and Quick Creations

Hello everyone, I have another card for you for Quick Creations.

I created a card featuring Santoro/Gorjuss "Heartfelt" rubber stamp, Nuvo Crystal Drops in "Raspberry Pink" and Cottage Cutz "Victorian Butterfly" die, Spectrum "Sparkle" pen and Santoro's Mirabelle 2 paper.

I colored her using my Recollections water color markers.  I added some Sparkle pen to the butterfly flourish die cut and glued it to the back of the image, and then popped the image up on dimensional adhesive.  I added some ribbon from my stash, and add four dots to the corners of the image with the Nuvo.  This was the perfect color to match the paper :)

A Little Under the Sea with Quick Creations and CC Designs

Hello from the wintery white North! Lol.  It is super blustery here this week, which is a nice change from last week's super cold weather :)

I have created three cards for Quick Creations, using the same stamp set and ribbon :)

This stamp set is "Under the Sea" from CC Designs and I know Noelle has a couple left in her store!

The ribbon is from the Kaisercraft "Rock Pool" collection, as well as the paper in the first card.  Both of these are also available in the Quick Creations shop.

Ok, tell me these cards didn't turn out super cute!  I watercolored these images using my Recollections watercolor markers on cold-pressed paper.  I fussy-cut some elements from the paper pad and layered them up with dimensional adhesive, added the ribbon bow on this one, and called it finished!

The turtle is definitely a favorite, I've always liked turtles.  I watercolored him as well and popped him up on dimensional adhesive, added the watercolored bubbles to the background and added some "Rock Pool" ribbon to this card as well.

And the last one was just as fun.  I also watercolored the sea horse and more bubbles and also added some Quick Creations' "Mermaid Tales" sequins to this one.  This ribbon is also from the Kaisercraft "Rock Pool" collection.  Three different ribbons from the same set, and they are so cute!

All of the linked products are available in Noelle's online shop at Quick Creations, but she is closing her shop...so go and see what's left!  There are sale prices on many items!

Stay tuned for more inspiration coming up soon!

A Very Happy New Year and some Paper Nest Dolls, and a new challenge :)

Happy New Year everyone!  How did you spend your New Year's Eve?  We spent it with family, which is definitely the best way to go.

It's time for a new challenge at the Paper Nest Dolls, and to start of the new year I have chosen to create using a brand new doll for Valentine's Day!

This is Love Letter Avery:

I colored her using my Copics and Prismacolor pencils, and completed the card using two La La Land dies, ribbon and flowers from my stash, paper from the Webster's Pages "Painted Passport" collection and glitter paper from American Crafts.

I love the way she turned out, she was so much fun to color and create with.

Come and join the challenge, the theme is always anything goes!  The challenge starts today (always the first Monday of the month) and runs till the end of the month, so you have plenty of time to join in!  See you soon :)

Kraftin' Kimmie Butterfly Dreams with Quick Creations

Hello everyone, I hope the holidays have treated you well :)  For me, it was the busiest holiday we've had in a while, what with a new extended family to visit.

I have created a pretty purple and teal card for you today for Quick Creations, featuring Kraftin' Kimmie's "Butterfly Dreams" clear stamp set.

To create this card, I water colored the butterflies using some Tim Holtz Distress Markers and some Spectrum Aqua Markers in both a light and dark purple and teal.  I fussy cut them out and added Glossy Accents to their bodies.  I die cut some butterflies out of the white card stock using the Lawn Fawn "Flutterby" die set.  The paper is "Fairy Dust" from Kaisercraft, the sentiment is from KK's "Butterfly Dreams" and I also finished it off with some Nuvo Crystal Drops in "Violet Galaxy".  The white card stock is backed with dimensional adhesive to give it some lift from the patterned paper.

Sadley, Noelle has decided to close her shop for the time being so she can focus on her health, so right now she is having a shop-wide sale, see the details below:

You can get to the shop HERE

Elf Emma with Lights and Paper Nest Dolls

Christmas is over and the new year is almost here!  Are you excited?  Did you make resolutions or goals for the new year?  I made a couple goals that I intend to reach this year!  And I'm excited to get started.

To finish the 2016 Paper Nest Dolls year off, I decided to color one of Christine's fabulous Christmas images.  This is Elf Emma with Lights:

I colored her using my Copics and Prismacolor Pencils and completed the card using paper from the Recollections "Say Freeze" collection and some adhesive pearls from my stash.  The sentiment is from my Stamp of Approval box and the stamp set was manufactured by Catherine Pooler Designs.

Stay tuned for more fun....Monday starts a new challenge at Paper Nest Dolls!

CC Designs "Layering Tag" die set
Sugar Pea Designs "Stitched Autumn Icons" die set

Stop by the Quick Creations store for your Christmas wish list!

Fairy Lights with Santoro/Gorjuss and Quick Creations

Hello everyone :)  Are you feeling the Christmas spirit yet?  I'm still working on that one lol.  Hoping to get in the mood real soon, since it's already halfway through December :)  I still have to put up my tree, and wrap some presents.  I really dislike putting the lights on the tree, so last year I bought a fake tree that already has lights in it :)  I know, way to ruin the mood right lol.  What's your least favorite thing about decorating for Christmas?

So on that note, lol...here's a mini Gorjuss Christmas card for you featuring the Santoro/Gorjuss Mini "Fairy Lights" and Kaisercraft "Silver Bells" paper :)

You can find this stamp in Noelle Martin's online shop at Quick Creations.  Unfortunately she doesn't have any of the Kaisercraft "Silver Bells" paper left and it is discontinued, such a shame cuz this paper is gorgeous.  Do you want a tip about matching paper to your colored images?  Pick your paper before you color, then you can pick your colors accordingly and voila!

Thanks for stopping by, see you soon, and don't get too caught up in Christmas tree lights :)

Friday Feature: Jenninfer McGuire #2

Hello all, I have the second feature card today CASE-ing Jennifer McGuire's card from this video :)

I changed it up again, and used less elements to create the card. It makes for an elegant CAS card :)  Again I used the Altenew Peony Scrolls stamp set, and heat embossed with white embossing powder, and then colored with Gansai Tambi watercolors.I added the sentiment, then some lace and adhesive backed pearls for a clean look.

I am really enjoying this Feature Friday posts.  It gives me a chance to create and learn from some of my favorite card artists!  Next up...Sandy Allnock!  SWOON :)
