SUNNY BLACK'S BAND & Achille Johnny (1969)

Achille Johnny n'est pas un inconnu, il a déjà été présenté par mes confrères: Awesome Tapes from Africa, Voodoo Funk or Worldservice. Ce que mes confrères et moi ne savions pas c'est que Achille a beaucoup composé avec l'orchestre Sunny Black's Band alias Poly-Rythmo. Je vous laisse donc apprécier ce disque éditer en 1969 parle label Impressions sonores du Bénin.

Achille Johnny is not a stranger, he has been already presented by my friends: Awesome Tapes from Africa, Voodoo Funk or Worldservice. What they or I didn't know is that  Achille was always recording with Sunny Black's Band aka Poly-Rythmo. I let you so enjoy this rare record edited in 1969 on label "Impressions sonores du Bénin".

Sunny Black's Band AKA Poly-Rythmo (1966)

I really like to thank Reservatory, from Lucky Psychic Hut blog, for this great great contribution. This is my fourth post about Sunny Black's Band which became, in 1968, Poly-Rythmo. I invite you to discover the others EPs from Clément Mélomé's band here, here and here. The rhythm is always the same during this period, bolero mixed with traditional Beninese rhythms.

This is my third post about Sunny Black's Band. Created by Clément Mélomé in 1965, this orchestra will become in 1969 the famous Poly-Rythmo's orchestra.

In this EP, the Side one, a cara-bouche rhythm from Congo, has been composed by Honoré Senahun. The Side two, a pachanga rhythm, has been composed by Nicolas Gomez.

Sunny Black's Band (1965)

Another rare realese by the Beninese group out of which emerged the Poly-Rythmo. A single composed by Clément Mélomé featuring a jerk on side A and a bolero on side B. I Think this single was recorded in 1965.

Encore une nouvelle édition du Sunny Black's Band alias Poly-Rythmo. Disque composé par Clément Mélomé, on trouve sur la face A un jerk et la Face B un boléro. Des rythmes populaires pour l'époque. Je pense qu'il a été enregistré en 1965.
