Merry Christmas Deer

Another duo challenge..Watercooler Wednesday's "All About Holidays" Challenge and Happy Little Stampers ~ Anything Goes with Dies Challenge.. I've been going abit crazy with my vintage Christmas colour combo..pink white and normally it's silver but I opted for gold this time around. Die cut the white card stock oval, the white scallop oval and the Gold foil deer. Cut my coveted pink houndstooth pattern paper and love the gold foil. Finished the card with a tiny gold metallic cord bow... Voila!

Deets: All Stampin Up except for the Scallop Oval die, Merry Christmas sentiment and the houndstooth pattern paper from the craft stash.

*Flying by on a Snowflake...**Outstanding Design** Winner

Apologize for the poor photo...gloomy day so the lighting wasn't very good. :(
Up next...a hat trick challenge..CAS Christmas Card Challenge's bird theme, Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge ~ Animal Antics and the Fusion sketch challenge... I really struggle with CAS...so this was a definite challenge for me..Dusted off the unloved penguin stamp and coloured the flying penguin with Copics..stamped the snowflake cluster a few times. Embossed the sentiment with silver embossing powder..die cut out the banner and than layered at the top with foam tape...Definitely lots of white space on the card and minimal embellishments...

Deets: All Stampin Up except for Penguin and Snowflake images

EDIT: Great news...my card was chosen as one of the Outstanding Designs from the CAS Christmas Card Challenge. Happy dance!! Thank you to the Design Team for choosing my card. :) Made my day. :)

*Christmas Luminary

Luminary with tea light inside to showcase vellum window

A duo challenge: Just Add Ink's challenge ~ Add Vellum, and Happy Little Stampers' October Christmas Challenge. Way back, when I bought the snowflake collage die...I thought it was larger for some reason and was disappointed with how small it was. Fast forward to after a year  of collecting dust...I love the die..it's perfect for shaker boxes and it's perfect for the vellum window in this card... just pop a tealight inside and voila..an instant luminary for your desk..mantel..whereever.... Used some of the coveted Making Memories pattern paper with the red glimmer paper for a border...Die cut the Snowflake collage from shimmery white paper and than attached to the vellum paper..Voila!

Deets: Assorted supplies from craft stash..

Thanks for dropping by and feel free to leave some blog love.
Happy Belated Cardmaking Day! ;)

WWC190- Gail's Feminine "Anything Goes" Challenge

Card Opened for Display

Close Up to show more detail and dimension

Card folds flat to mail

Welcome back everyone to the 4th week and last week of my Guest Designer opportunity for the Watercooler Wednedays Challenges...So this week's challenge is Gail's Feminine "Anything Goes" and I need a WOW card for a friend's upcoming milestone birthday. I thought I would give this Window Box thinlet pop up card a go. The great thing is the card mails flat and displays three dimensional. Since it's a bit gloomy here with the lovely rainy Fall here..I decided I wanted a card with some colour...pool party and calypso coral are one of my fave colour combos and thought I would add a touch of lemon lime twist. Embossed the decorative squares and the background with the Tin Tile Embossing folder and lightly sponged with Crumb Cake to highlight the pattern for a more vintage feel. Voila!

Deets: All Stampin Up
The How to Make details for the Window Box Thinlet - Pop Up card is on You Tube ~ mitosustampin. Thank you for the inspiration.

Please check out the Design Team's inspiration and make sure to leave some blog love. Looking forward to seeing your projects.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
Just Add Ink colour combination challenge: Calypso Coral, Pool Party and Lemon Lime Twist.

Cardz 4 Galz challenge ~ What's New?  New to me is the window box thinlet pop up card technique. Alittle daunting but I'm so glad I tried it...need to make a few more of these special movement cards!
Thanks for stopping by.

Smiles,
Sheri :)
