Me love you

Hello lovely people,

I don't think I've posted on here since my last Dies to Die For DT card but it seems to be Friday again so it's time for another one, and I thought I'd do something non-Christmassy for a change!

Elephant engagement

Hello lovely people,

It's been a while!  I've been soooo busy lately that I have been neglecting my blog again, but I do have a few posts to share this week.

First up I have an engagement card that a work colleague commissioned and I was requested to put elephants on it so...

I did already have some elephant stamps I could have used but after a quick peek online I fell in love with this image and just had to get it.  It's a digi stamp and as a bonus it comes with 3 other equally gorgeous images!

What a simply adorable couple of ellies :-)

I really wanted to go for a different colour than the more traditional pinks and reds, but of course, I still wanted a pretty, floral, romantic look so out came the flowers!

The sentiment was computer generated and I also added the name of the couple after I took these photos.

I hope life is treating you all well at the moment :-)

Sweet little bridesmaids

Hello lovely people,

My blog posts seem to have been very few and far between in the last month but on the more positive side I have found a wee bit of time here and there to pop in and see some of the creations on your blogs, which has been lovely :-)

I also haven't been colouring as much as I would like but I got some time at the weekend, so decided to colour up one of the new LOTV images being released on 20th May.

I've used the digi image for my card but printed it exactly the same size as the rubber stamp will be, so you can see how it fits on a 6" square card.

I have left quite a lot of white space around my image because I wanted to use the stitched panel out of one of my new MFT Blueprints die sets!

I didn't feel it needed a lot of embellishments so kept it to 2 small clusters and a sentiment tag.  Once it was all finished I did go back and add some sparkle to the bows though with a Spectrum Noir clear sparkle pen, which is a 'use your imagination' job as usual!

I am planning some more colouring today because there is a HUGE release coming up from LOTV and there are so many images I want to use!

Slick chick

Hello lovely people,

I have a Dies to Die For DT card to share with you today.

You may have spotted that there is a new Stamping Bella release on the way, and I am happy to say I have my pre-order in :-)

So, while I wait for that to arrive, I thought I'd get my Stamping Bella fix with an image from last year.

I had a bit of a falling out with my Copics whilst trying to colour this chick, so switched to Inktense pencils and was much happier with the result.

This guy certainly has style doesn't he?!

I enjoyed designing on the circular base shape and kept it fairly simple with just a little strip of corrugated card for texture and a few hearts scattered around.

The heart dies were all scrounged out of various die sets but they are all by MFT so they match perfectly in shape :-)

Mushroom mice

Hello lovely people,

I'm sorry to be so tardy in bringing you a Design Team sample from the latest LOTV release but I hope you have been enjoying all the samples so far from the rest of the DT and the Design Collective.

This release is full of gorgeous romantic images like this one...

I am so loving these cute mice!

This is yet another paper pad that I have had for a few months and not used yet, and the shabby chic style and muted tones with just a few pops of pink seemed perfectly romantic to match the image :-)

I love that diamante ribbon slider to add a little sparkle...and hey, they are not just for sliding onto ribbons...twine works too!

Little mice

Hello lovely people,

I did warn you that I could well be back for a third day in a row and here I am!

I survived another day in work yesterday and now have another couple of weeks off before my full return.  I popped out at lunchtime to get my new glasses and am really pleased with them; well, they are purple!  Much as I love pink I'm not sure about it for my glasses - lol!  Dr. Hubby commented that they were very 'sexy schoolteacher!' so I think that's a compliment!

Enough of that though because today I have a card to share with you that I made with some gorgeous goodies from The Ribbon Girl.

We Ribbon Girls are allowed a little break in August, but I couldn't resist having a play with these beautiful new papers that are newly arrived at The Ribbon Girl; they have such a lovely vintage style and beautiful soft colour palette.

I was drawn to my Inktense pencils again for this image and was pretty happy with the result.  I am thinking I might do a little post dedicated to Inktense to share my insights so far into using them, such as they are!  Anyone fancy that?

Romantic criss cross card with mouse couple

I do love making criss cross cards, and that's another potential for a tutorial so I can show you the stand that I make for them and share my tips for attaching lace across the front.

I've made a large pull out tag; just a sweet and simple one with some little die cut hearts.

One more peek at the gorgeous flowers that I used and that scrummy lace, which I ended up covering quite a bit - oops!

I hope you all have a super bank holiday weekend :-)
