Believe in magic

Hello lovely people,

It's Friday and although I am always looking forward to the weekend, I think this one will be a really fabulous one as I am off to the Dies to Die For pop-up shop both days...and I'm doing colouring classes with the amazingly talented Faye - eeeeeek, so excited!

Now, talking of Dies to Die For I have a DT project to share with you and I thought that the MFT tall tag duo would make excellent bookmarks...what do you reckon?!

I have so many small stamps that would fit onto these bookmarks and I think I shall be making a lot more of these, but there was only one choice for my first one...a gorgeous magical unicorn!

Also if you are free to drop into the pop-up shop this weekend we would love to see you; we will be at Merriott Village Hall, 51 Broadway, Merriott, Somerset, TA16 5QH, from 10-4 Saturday and 10-12 Sunday.  I'll be colouring but you can just shop and enjoy a slice of cake and hot drink!

Hugs and kisses

Hello lovely people,

I'm here this morning with my Dies to Die For DT card and you probably all know by now how much of a sucker I am for cute punny cards so there was no way I could resist the Tic Tac Toe stamps and dies from the latest MFT release.

I've used mainly the stamps for this simple design.

I've added in a few other dies to create the design and at the last minute I thought a couple of sequins would finish it off nicely.

Pearly heart wedding card

Hello lovely people,

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend and are up to something nice :-)

I certainly am...a weekend of crafting but also a curry out with lovely friends last night - yummy!

Today I have a card to showcase a few products from The Ribbon Girl and they have so many pretty things that are just perfect for making wedding cards.

Shabby chic wedding card with chipboard heart

I've used a gorgeous chipboard heart as the focal point, which I painted with white acrylic paint and then I added a few pearls randomly on top.

I have to tell you that the ribbon I used is absolutely beautiful but I just could not cut the ends without them fraying, and even my usual trick of putting a tiny line of glue on the ends was to no avail...hence why my 'bow' has no tails on it - lol!
I actually think I prefer it this way...honest!

Elephant engagement

Hello lovely people,

It's been a while!  I've been soooo busy lately that I have been neglecting my blog again, but I do have a few posts to share this week.

First up I have an engagement card that a work colleague commissioned and I was requested to put elephants on it so...

I did already have some elephant stamps I could have used but after a quick peek online I fell in love with this image and just had to get it.  It's a digi stamp and as a bonus it comes with 3 other equally gorgeous images!

What a simply adorable couple of ellies :-)

I really wanted to go for a different colour than the more traditional pinks and reds, but of course, I still wanted a pretty, floral, romantic look so out came the flowers!

The sentiment was computer generated and I also added the name of the couple after I took these photos.

I hope life is treating you all well at the moment :-)

LOTV wedding sentiment trio

Hello lovely people,

I'm here with a DT post for LOTV today and it's another sneak peek of one of the new trio sets coming out on 28th February.

In what I think is a first for me, I've made a 3 card matching set, using one of the sentiments on each.

I am going to show you all of them at once though because it saves time on writing blog posts and that way I  won't bore you with lots of similar posts...or keep you in suspense!

I contemplated adding flowers but was really liking the clean modern feel to these so settled on just a few die cut hearts and some twine, plus a little sparkle pen on the hearts on the image.

I really love the elegance of these sentiments and they are absolutely perfect for a focal point when you don't really want to do a lot of colouring...oh yes, I did actually say that!

I was pretty happy with all the designs but I'd love to know if you have a favourite...it will be interesting to see if it's the same as my fave!

Bunnies in love

Hello lovely people,

I do hope everyone is having a good weekend :-)

I went to a beer festival last night but didn't overdo it and it wasn't a really late night so I was raring to go with some crafting today.

Which is just as well, because I have so many fab new stamps I want to play with at the moment that I really need to get cracking!

My first project today was to finish up this card using one of the latest images from LOTV and some gorgeous goodies from The Ribbon Girl.

This might well be my favourite image from the latest release because I think it's sooo cute how one bunny is sprinkling the other with heart petals...awwwww!

It seems I must have been on a bit of a DP binge recently as this is yet another new paper pad and oh, these papers are bee-yoo-tiful...the prettiest soft blue and pink in delicate designs *sigh*

It's been so much fun working with these lovely romantic images from LOTV and I am excited to tell you that there are even more new images on the way in a few weeks time!

Slick chick

Hello lovely people,

I have a Dies to Die For DT card to share with you today.

You may have spotted that there is a new Stamping Bella release on the way, and I am happy to say I have my pre-order in :-)

So, while I wait for that to arrive, I thought I'd get my Stamping Bella fix with an image from last year.

I had a bit of a falling out with my Copics whilst trying to colour this chick, so switched to Inktense pencils and was much happier with the result.

This guy certainly has style doesn't he?!

I enjoyed designing on the circular base shape and kept it fairly simple with just a little strip of corrugated card for texture and a few hearts scattered around.

The heart dies were all scrounged out of various die sets but they are all by MFT so they match perfectly in shape :-)

Wool you be mine?

Hello lovely people,

I hope you are all having a good week so far.

I had a day off on Monday after spending the day on Sunday helping out at the Dies to Die For stand at the Sincerely Yours papercraft show in Thetford.  I had a fabulous day out with my crafty buddies, and I may have bought a few bits and pieces that I found I 'needed' ;-)

It's time for a new challenge at In The Pink and our theme is...

WITH LOVE
Don't forget we want to see more pink than any other colour!

Our lovely sponsor this time is Di's Digi Stamps with a $12 voucher

Amongst my purchases on Sunday, I couldn't resist adding to my collection of MFT cute critters, so my card today is a really simple one using one of the adorable sheep that came home with me!

I wasn't entirely sure how I would colour the fluffy wool, but it was actually super easy to do with just a few flicks to suggest a bit of texture.

It's always a bit of a blow to the credit card to get the matching dies but I can honestly say it's a good investment because I really love to cut those critters out and pop them on foam pads.

Dr. Hubby was so not impressed with the punny sentiment but it made me giggle!

The scallop frame and stitched hillside are also new additions to my stash ;-)

If you haven't already done so then do pop over to In The Pink and check out the gorgeous creations from the rest of the Pink Ladies.
