Carry On Now, Okay?

 Sprinkled...

This evening was a good time to 'carry on'. After a long day of just stuff...I pulled together the trim pieces for the last 3 Christmas Stockings.

These are not made for a specific person or family. They are just the last 3 unclaimed stocking bodies I have. I have the one for soon-to-be April baby, which is almost completed. I have one set aside for the family of the last 2024 stocking recipient. They are considering a third child, so I've saved one for them.

Then that is it. I'll be closing the chapter on Christmas Stockings, which began in 1995. Isn't that wild...1995!

Anyway, as far as these 3 are concerned, while it is hard to tell in the photos...they are not exactly the same - quite similar (two of them)...but not the same. Different interior fabrics, different buttons, different "snowflake" placement...

These 3 will just hold some festive bling, along with very good wishes for whoever gets them.

How can you revamp an old idea? What does it mean to you when you do that? Do you think it could open things up in new creative ways?

May you throw caution to the wind at times

May you do things different, even after a very long time of routine

May you pay attention during the process

I'm thinking this is one of those times when rain clouds are even more welcome than blue skies ... may the rains be gentle and the fires abate without leaving mudslides in their wake

Liz~ Yes, this. Needed, but gentle please 🙂

I don’t like how close the Hughs fire is to you. Still checking on you daily.

The stockings are charming. And what an idea! To declare oneself done with something. I like it! ~Dee

Dee~ Aw, thanks for checking on us. We really are fine. When I check Watch Duty, I look to see when it was last updated, because it seems when the fire is less of a threat, it is not updated as frequently. Plus, I'm learning how the fading colors of the "fire" icon gives more info on what stage of the firefight they are in. For instance, the Border 2 Fire is still brightly colored and recently updated. I think there are some other things I am 'done' with 😉
