Daily SPS Inspiration with Denine - Layout

Hello Friends,

I am so excited.. I put together a layout the other evening while the Hubby and I were watching TV.  So easy... I think I am in love with the Pocket Photo Pages.  It makes it so simple and I have lots of space for journaling.

I must admit, I was not a fan of this type of layouts.  I thought I was cheating.. but let me just say... I love it!  I get to show off the paper, which if you know me... I LOVE PAPER.  Super easy to fill the page and show off your pictures too...

ok.. ok... enough of my rambling.

Here is what I came up with using just 3 sheets of 12 x 12 with LOTS of extras left over to make some cards with.

I used Carta Bella's - Alphabet Junction.

I have more of these pocket pages arriving tomorrow in 6 different styles.. Eeeekkkkk.  Looking forward to a weekend of Scrapbooking. :)

Kitchen Scraps

Hello Everyone,

Wow.. what a summer.  In Washington it is so unusual to have the beautiful sunshine.  We are really enjoying it.

However, Pumpkin was down with the Flu yesterday, poor thing, and it was in the 90's.  Yikes... she is such a trooper.

If you have not heard the news about My Pink Stamper (AKA - Robyn), you may want to check out her post from Wednesday.  Click HERE to read more. We Adore you My Friend.

So I put together a few 'small' projects for today to show off some sweet paper I purchased years ago.  Yep, years ago.. lol  Nothing like procrastination.

My problem is I just love looking at the designs and patterns on the paper, so cutting it up is so hard to do.  Well I finally figured out how to have my 'cake' and eat it to.

I couldn't cut up that 12 x 12 with the adorable kitchen scene.  Just too cute.  So I left it as is and layered some mats for journal space and a picture or two.  I already have the picture in mind, just need to print it.

All the fun glitter on the yummy pictures on this paper... again, I just need to show it off on this card by just cutting them into panels for a card.  And some ribbon and presto, CAS card.

Lastly, another CAS card with a sentiment from My Pink Stamper.

Perfect for this paper if you ask me.

All in all, these 3 project 5 sheets of 12 x 12 paper with lots of extra scraps for more future projects.

Hope everyone has an amazing and fun filled weekend.

Hugs,

Layout Wednesday - My 1st Gypsy Project

Hello Fellow Crafters and Friends,

I have a layout today using the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge, my Gypsy and 'I Believe' paper from My Mind's Eye.

I left a lot of open space near the pictures for journaling.

I used my Gypsy to connect the words, year and base circle into one cut, then was able to copy and paste the words and year exactly the same to a second layout to cut just like the base, but without the circle.  I was pretty excited about that.  No guess work to get them the same for layering.  I also cut out some mats for the pictures.

This is a picture of the back of the base paper. I am a paper lover and didn't want to waste the pretty pattern behind the circle base, so on a 3rd layout, I copied the circle base, made them slightly smaller and cut out just the circle on the back side of the Layout page so I could utilize the patterend paper that was going to be hidden.  Silly I know, but I just love all the pretty paper.

Here is what the back looks like after assembling.  You could even use it as a layout base just as is.

I was late when I completed and took pictures so the picture quality is not to good.

I also inked the edges of the letters and numbers and the base circle to give it a little seperation.

Recipe:
Paper - MME - "I Believe" Winter Berries is the base paper
MME - "I Believe" Trees Glittered Paper is the layer paper
            Textrued cardstock for the circle
Embellishments - flower from garland used in decorating this year.
Tag and 'ribbon paper' - "I Believe" Glittered Cardstock Accessories Sheet
Ink - Black from G Studio and Moss Green from Versa, i think. (going on memory here.)

I have not done a layout for over a year... oh my goodness.  I think it is time to get back to scrapping.

Thank you for stopping by.  Hope you enjoyed.
Sorry posted so late, I have a sick little one and she needs my TLC.
