Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day two - Pattern On Pattern

My first attempt at this was too dark. I am hoping somewhere in the near future I can rewdo it with a lighter was and also make sure my layers are dry between colours. I was a little impatient ;)

I used Arches Cold Pressed 300gsm paper with Windsor & Newton Cotman pans. The stamp is from Docrafts Creative Essentials and is called butterflies embossed with white Hampton Arts embossing powder.

Stretch Your Stamps 2 Stamping On Dark Cardstock

Hiya onwards and upwards to day 9 of Stretch Your Stamps 2 at Online Card Classes. As I don't really have any suitable floral builder stamp sets I had to hunt for a bunch of random stamps I could use for this technique. I used Printworks' Elegant Patterns, Clearly Wordsworths Comfort Collection, Heidi Graces Family Traditions and The Paper Studios XOXOXO. I also used Archival inks in Magenta Hue, Aquamarine, Deep Purple, Vermillion, Plum, Manganese Blue and Chrome Yellow as well as Studio G in white, Versamark, Hero Arts White embossing powder, an embossing buddy and a Zig Emboss pen.

Strecth Your Stamps 2 Form A Shape

Well I am now onto day 7 of Stetch Your Stamps 2 at Online Card Classes, almost there. This one would have been nice and quick if I had thought to trim the stamp before I started lol. By the fourth go I'd figured it out lol. I used Distress inks going clockwise in Picked Rasberries, Festive Berries, Ripe Persimmon, Mustard Seed, Squeezed Lemonade, Shabby Shutters, Mowed Lawn, Tumbled Glass, Chipped Sapphire and Seedless Preserves. I also used Hemptique Twine, Hampton Art embossing powders, versamark, Lifestyle Crafts Nesting Circles and some foam tape.

Stretch Your Stamps 2 Multi Coloured Embossing

Onto day five of Stretch Your Stamps 2 at Online Card Classes. For this card I used Embossing powders I got a very long time ago in tiny little vials from Spotlight. Unfortunately the red has a tendency to soak into cardstock but I don't have another red in that deep shade so I used it anyway lol. I used Spelbinder Gold Labels Four, Hemptique Black Twine, Herot Arts White Embossing Powder, Hampton Art Footlong Thank You stamps, a corner rounder and my Ebosser for die cutting.

Stertch Your Stamps 2 Colouring and Tiling (not so much...)

So I don't have a background stamp suited to this colouring technique so I decided to go in a whole different direction. I took a stamp set I had recieved free with a magazine and paired it with Hampton Arts Clear Expression stamp set Beach Bum.
This technique is from day 2 of Stretch Your Stamps at Online Card Classes. As you can see I used fussy cutting instead of tiling . . . Hey whatever works, right?

Today I also used Gelatos in the following colours, Black Licorice, Blueberry, Butter Cream, Butterscotch, Margarita Mix, Metallic Blueberry, Metallic Grape, Metallic Melon, Metallic Mint, Red Cherry and Snow Cone. Phew that's a lot of colours lol. I also used Hero Arts White embossing powder, an embossing buddy and the Stampin' Up blender pen. I think I'd like to try the Dove one though as my Stampin' Up ones are almost dry I think.
