Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day two - Pattern On Pattern Card

This is possibly my last card for today, somebody has to clean do the housework and go shopping, eek (forgot about the shopping!). I need more hours in the day haha!

I used Spellbinders A2 Divine Eleoquence and Fancy Framed Framed Tags One. The sentiment is from House of Mouse, Mice Wishes by Stampendous and is stamped with Archival Jet Black ink. The string is from Hemptique.

Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day 5 - Card One

This is another super easy technique, I plan to revisit this when i get better brushes! I think I add too many stems though lol.

I used Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles, a random Lifestyle Crafts dies for the rounded rectangle and the sentiment is from Stampendous' Hot Rocketz.

Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day Three - Lifting Card Three

Hi, this is my third card from the lifting class, I have one more panel but I think I want to maybe frame and keep that one...

I used some string from my stash, Spellbinders Fancy Framed Tags One and Archival Jet Black ink to stamp the saying from Hero Arts Birthday Sayings.
Thanks for looking.

Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day Six - Dipped Florals Card

These are the quick and easy flowers Jenifer showed us on the last day of class. I wanted to keep the card pretty clean and simple.

I made two cards very quickly.

I rounded the corners with my WRMK Corner Chomper and mounted the panel on an Xcut die cut. I stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts Birthday Sayings in Archival Jet Black ink.
Thanks for taking the time to look!

Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day 5 - Lesson 4 Card

This was a simple panel to turn into a card as I didn't want to cover up too much of the flowers. I made my own banner and used a combination of Distress Inks in Worn Lipstick and Abandoned Coral to get close to my flower colour.

I also used some brads and a sentiment from Crafters Companion I got in one of their magazine deals that come with loads of stuff :)
Thanks for stopping by.

Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day Four Lost and found Details Card

While not as soft as the teachers card in class I still love how this card tuned out :) I made my own custom colour mixing Windsor and Newton Cotman pans.

I used Kaisercrafts Leaves stencil, WRMKs Corner Chomper, Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink on a Stampendous Birthday Wish sentiment and some bling.
Thanks for taking the time to look :)

Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day Three - Lifting Card Two

I like this card because I managed to paint it with no stamps, I think I do better without them for the most part. Still not that confident with full flowers though but I will keep practicing!

I used a spellbinders die, a tonne of Kooltak clear foam tape chopped into itty bitty bits behind every round part of the die and the corners (that took a while) and a Valentines Day die that I bought in a Facebook group that's unbranded.
Thank

Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day Three - Lifting Card

This was my first attempt at lifting, it's on a paper that colour would lift from if rewet so I cheated lol. I got some Brushos for christmas and had played around with them . . . a lot lol. Anyway I loved the amount of colours in the leaf green one so just made a panel of that and thought hmm wonder what the KaiserCraft stamp and cuts I got for Christmas would look like on that. As a result the precut leaves were sitting on my desk and I thought why not. I cut the branch up and used them as my leaves for this flower. They are stamped with Archival ink.

I also used Distress Ink in Worn Lipstick on a Mpress Sentiment stamp. I used a Spellbinders die and the circles I added to the front of the card are from die as well.
Thanks for stopping by.

Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day 2 - Wet on Dry Roses Card

This was my third attempt at the rose on not so great paper, I've since tried again with better results on artist grade paper :)

I used Hemtique bakers twine, Spellbinders Fancy Framed Tags One and Wilted Violet Distress Ink with a Hero Arts sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by.

Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day One and Two - Wet On Wet Card and Varigated Wash

Here is the start of the cards I have made from class :) This one was made from well . . . rejects. I had been testing each of my paper to find one I could possibly do the wet on wet technique with before I got a pad of Arches, none of them worked properly but I was able to salvage some by cutting out the butterflies :)

I used Lifestyle Crafts nesting butterfly dies to trace to make the wet on wet butterflies, Spellbinders lace ovals and Archival ink that I stamped off with a KaiserCraft sentiment.

Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day Three - Lifting Take 2

This is my first attempt at this Technique on Saunders Waterford cold pressed 300gsm paper.

I also used Windsor & Newton Cotman watercolours and Plaid One Stroke and Semco brushes as well as the same stamp used in class with Stampin' Up ink.

Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day 5 Card Example One

Hey again, I really love this technique, it's so quick and easy. I know I overwork mine but I still love how they turned out. This is all done using a simple brush stroke and a round brush!

I used Prima Bloom Watercolour paper, #12 Plaid One Stroke Round Brush,  and Royal Langnickel tubes.

For this one I used the Windsor & Newton Cotman watercolours.

I can't wait to turn these into cards. I did as Jennifer suggested and used smaller panels to make these paintings. Much less intimidating!

Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day Three - Negative Painting

I am really struggling with this technique as you will see in a minute lol . . . Firstly I don't have many leaf stamps and my brain wasn't working on alternatives like it has for other days, secondly the paper wasn't staying wet as fast as I misted it the water soaked in pretty much lol. Darn Aussie heat! And of course am still using the plaid one stroke which don't hold a point well. Anyway here it is...

More practice required!

Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day Two - Simple Round Brush Flowers

I have to say I love love love the simple round brush flowers as they are fairly easy. I had kids watching me do them and then copying :) I started with a full page Monte Marte 180gsm paper with My Cotmans... I learnt a valuable lesson. This paper was very thirsty and I ended up using quarter of a pan of paint :O

Then I used A small Prima Paper with a Semco number 3 brush... Not great for watercolour...

And another smaller go at Monte Marte with Royal Langnickel tubes paints before finally moving onto Arches Cold Pressed.

Three together,

Unfortunately my prima panel ended up with paint on a corner but I'm hoping I can still salvage it!

Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Color Wheel

Hi again, for my colour wheel I cheated and painted my colours then cut them out with Lifestyle Crafts nesting circles. This was about my 4th attempt as I tried tracing objects and kept wrecking it lol.

I used Semco 230gsm paper and Windsor & Newton Cotman Watercolours with Plaid One Stroke brushes.
