A Change In Coverage
Post Game Coverage to be on Vimeo Feed+these aggregators.
Canadian Snark Piece, "10:30 In Newfoundland", moves to Vimeo.com from You Tube.
You Tube will continue to be the Informational "Where To Tune" Channel ONLY, aggregated by ivideo.ie, & Facebook & Twitter Feeds.
Anyone who wants You Tube Coverage, should shoot it themselves. The Official Coverage will NOT be on You Tube.
Note:ivideo.ie will host Vimeo Videos via Code Transplant, so expect the viewing audience for this coverage to be rather large.
A good # of video highlights will be on VideoBam.com, which is garnering huge #s of views, from the Vimeo Feed.

Vimeo Carriage Of K of C Free Throw Coverage
There is a realization that the competitions are NOT the Exclusive Province of You Tube. Athletic Competitions are Artistic by nature, as they involve movement. They also show emotions of the active participants(Contestants), as well as passive participants(Families).
A favorite form of Artistic Expression in the Coverage is Gregorian Chant in Latin, in combination with coverage clips. These clips are Quite Popular on Vimeo, not so popular on You Tube.
Another thing is that in order to register a view on Vimeo, one has to view the ENTIRE Video. For example-the 14 Boys Council Championship Coverage is 14 Minutes, 16 Seconds in length. On Vimeo, 9 Views were registered. On You Tube, 88 views were registered. But, You Tube does not require full viewing of the video. Merely viewing an ad on the video counts as a view. Viewing a few seconds of the video also counts as a You Tube view.
On Vimeo, the views are true & full.
On You Tube, their views may not be accurate.
Video is made to inform, entertain, provoke & to be savored, especially on Vimeo, where the standards for video & viewing are higher. You just can't click adverts to build up views, or watch for only a few seconds, as it cheapens the definition of views.
BTW, the same contestant victor with 88 views on You Tube, had only 7 views on You Tube in the next level of competition. He did receive 19 views during the same round on Dailymotion.com, where the standards are higher than on You Tube.
Now I understand why a certain contestant sent her grandmother to warn me to put the Free Throw on to You Tube-the views come, even if only an advert is clicked. It is about sheer numbers.
In regards to 50th Anniversary Celebration Videos to commemorate the Founding of Msgr Sherman Council #5103, Knights Of Columbus in 1961, only 8 views are recorded on You Tube. In a few videos on Vimeo, many more views were accomplished. Even more so were accomplished by exporting the videos on You Tube to ivideo.ie in Ireland, an uncluttered site.
You Tube is way too cluttered.

DailyMotion Coverage Of K of C Free Throw
IVideo,ie has also helped push viewers over to Vimeo, DailyMotion & You Tube. It may also be pushing viewers over to VideoBam.
Another thing-DailyMotion will also be carrying the Long Island Final w/Viddler. Viddler will be the Domestic Feed, w/DailyMotion being the International Feed. Vimeo will be used as Wraparound & Wrap Up Coverage.
DailyMotion & Vimeo will be carried via iVideo.ie aggregator.
YouTube Information Service will also be carried by iVideo.ie.
The blip.tv feed will be aggregated via VodPod. All services will also be supplemented by Facebook & Twitter. Vimeo will also be supplemented by tumblr & ShowYou.
However, when Vimeo is carrying the two competitions, Post Game moves to blip.tv & VodPod.com.
If there is coverage from West Point US Military Academy for NY State Final, blip.tv will carry it, w/Post Game on Vimeo.com.
Final Credits Roll will be run on all coverage Networks.

On iVideo.ie In Cork, Ireland
The Huge Coverage #s will continue via Ireland w/o the crappy You Tube Player.
The Irish Service brought us very high #s. Time to do it with a better Video Viewer.

For The Two Sets Of Soccer Moms & Grandmother Demanding You Tube Coverage
73 Views on YouTube is a waste of time, especially when DailyMotion & Vimeo, are carrying this coverage with much better video players, as well as a more intelligent audience. DailyMotion has 315 Views & Vimeo has 270.
Besides, on both networks the videos were fully watched. On YouTube, only a few seconds needed to be watched.
Hence, You Tube Coverage will not be carried out, except as the Official Information Service for where to tune.
Besides, putting coverage of the 2012 K of C Free Throw On You Tube is tantamount to putting 1st Class Coverage into The Sewer.

I Know That The Web Is Wide
On blip.tv it is being viewed in The USA & Canada. On YouTube, it is Canada, USA & Europe in that order.
On iVideo.ie, competitions are viewed in Ireland, The UK, France, Germany, Spain & Canada.
With the Council Competition in Forest Hills, should the Pre Game Show come from New York, or should it come from Toronto, even perhaps Halifax, Nova Scotia? Sounds about Right, Eh!
Since The Canadians make up a good deal of the Audience, Montreal may make a good home for the Pre Game Programme. Even better yet, how about St. John's, Newfoundland. Rex Murphy might even like it.
And, save for an announcement for Tune In Information, YouTube & iVideo.ie will not carry 2012KOFCFT, though in iVideo.ie's case, there might be some Vimeo Coverage thrown its' way, down the road. After all, Kevin Collins is a fellow Vimean.

The New Version Of The Knights Of Columbus Int'l Free Throw Basketball Championship Video Coverage
In January, 2011, the Preliminary Round was carried on YouTube. YouTube is too big & way too cluttered. YouTube is overcrowded with loads of Videos about everything from Conspiracies to Utter Idiots. Often, the Intelligently Made Videos are ignored in favor of Sheer Junk. The Show "Fred" has more parodies than one can shake a stick at. Many of them are in bad taste.
That will change in the 2012 Preliminary Round, when VideoBam, designed for both Desktop Computers & Mobile Devices(iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch), will carry coverage over the VideoBam Site & over "The Kenmore Corona Report" in HD 720p. This method gives the Competition Coverage some local flavour.
The Council Round will be seen over blip.tv, as it was in January, 2011. This service allows for iTunes Downloads of the segments, which can be viewed over the iPhone/iPod Touch & iPad.
The District 28Queens Competition will be carried by DailyMotion.com in HD720p, viewable on Desktop or on iOS, Android, Blackberry & Windows Phone 7 Devices, including Zune.
Queens County Championship will be on Vimeo.com, viewable on Desktop or on iOS, Android, Blackberry & Windows Phone 7 Devices. Vimeo also has a great video player.
Long Island Championship Final is on Viddler.com, viewable on Desktop or on Blackberry, Android, Windows Mobile 7. For iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch, the SkyFire Browser will be needed to view this as Viddler is Flash Based Content.
Wraparound Coverage will be on Vimeo.com(Post Game).
There will be NO YOU TUBE, because of obnoxious individuals, who think that ONLY You Tube #s count. Besides, when someone tells you that he's in a K of C Free Throw in Nova Scotia, but turns out to be 20 years older & living in Ontario, it is time to stop carrying this coverage on a service, where Idiots abound.
This is a Premier Sporting Event. It deserves better than YouTube. I'm only too glad to be bringing it on intelligent services.
Enjoy!

THAT is WHAT I got from somebody watching the K of C Free Throw, over You Tube.
No Wonder there is NO You Tube Coverage.

From VideoBam "This K of C Free Throw Has #s Of Contestants"
If anything, the Council Round of Coverage will have a definitive "Canadian Flavour" to the coverage, especially when the Foul Lines are described in Metres, plus all those plugs for "CBC News-The National".
