From VideoBam "This K of C Free Throw Has #s Of Contestants"

If anything, the Council Round of Coverage will have a definitive "Canadian Flavour" to the coverage, especially when the Foul Lines are described in Metres, plus all those plugs for "CBC News-The National".

I Don't Get This But

A Local, as in Forest Hills, Queens Based Knights of Columbus Council Free Throw Basketball Championship Competition, is receiving mostly Canadian Viewers. What happened to all those Queens Based Viewers?
Sometimes I forget that this isn't Public Access Cable Television, but rather the World of The New Media. Viewers pop in from any part of The World. Much of our Overseas Viewership is in Israel & Europe on YouTube. So the Definition of Neighborhood has changed from around the corner & across the street, to across the border & across oceans.
The "Neighborhood" is available at a click of a mouse or by tapping a phone app.
And they take the K of C Free Throw in Canada, about as seriously as Canadians take Hockey & The CFL.
This Neighbourhood is pretty interesting, Eh. The Country covered by CBC, CTV & Global is watching a little local competition, produced on an iPod Touch 4G.
Enjoy it as much, as I have enjoyed bringing it to You.
PS: We know that we'll have made it Big Time when Rex says something about it.

Ok, Ok, My Suspicions Are Unnfounded

But it is better to err on the side of caution. When Parents & Their Little Darlings attempt to influence your decision as to which Video Sharing Network to utilize for coverage of a Sporting Event, sometimes they launch their whiny Superstar on you, complete with Histrionics. Let's just say, as Executive Producer of Knights Of Columbus Int'l Free Throw Basketball Championship Coverage, on 5 Competitions, that I was fed up with the Histrionics. My suggestion to these Whiners in East Glendale & Middle Village in The Borough Of Queens in New York, is, Quite-Simply, "Get A Life", as YouTube #s aren't everything they are cracked up to be. Come to think of it, hardly anyone watched The K of C Free Throw Coverage in your neighborhood in Queens on YouTube. The Ones who bragged that only YouTube #s are important, did almost none of the promoting of the coverage.
But, for a competition played in the Shadow of The West Side Tennis Club in Forest Hills, Queens, NY, onetime home of The US Open, the Knights Of Columbus International Free Throw Basketball Championship did draw Excellent #s on YouTube from Neighbours. In fact those Neighbours are Next Door.
Next Door Neighbours who share the Most Un-Militarized Border in The World, watched this local Queens Competition, comprising 75% of viewership.
Thank You, Canada, for you thought to watch this Local Competition, in far greater #s, than the Whiners could ever imagine, from Newfoundland To The Vancouver Islands. Whether on YouTube, DailyMotion or Vimeo, You are the Best Viewers of this whole competition. So if You hear me promoting your primary newscast, "The National", do understand it is my being grateful to You for viewing this Historic Coverage. Besides, I am one who regularly downloads the Online Edition for my iPod Touch.
Also, my condolences to The Family of Jack Layton, Leader of The Official Opposition Party, The New Democratic Party. Jack, a Fine Man, lost his battle with Cancer. I only found out about this today about his illness. Requiscant In Pacem, Amen!

Canadian, Eh!

Canadian, Eh!

For those of you who keep thinking that all of our Friends and Neighbours to our north in Canada, sound like those two characters on "Second City TV", namely two guys called "Bob & Doug Mac Kenzie", guess again:

Those from Ontario, as they do come from Celtic Heritage, and those in Quebec(French Canadians are descendents of those from Brittany in France, hence Celtic), tend to speak with that accent, so parodied on SCTV on CBC. That accent is so-eastern Canadian;

Yet, personally, I know a Country-Western Singer called Serena Jean Southam, who is from British Columbia & has no bit of the Eastern Style accent. Neither does another native of BC, a certain Left Fielder from Trail, BC called Jason Bay, sound anything like either Mac Kenzie Brother.

Though raised in Ontario, Mr Peter Mansbridge does not sound anything like a Mac Kenzie Brother. Having worked as a terminal announcer in an airport in Central Canada, Mr Mansbridge, currently the Chief Correspondent and Anchor of CBC's "The National", my favorite Newscast, sounds a bit closer to one Mr Peter Jennings, a Canadian who was Chief Correspondent for ABC News.

Please, the current Prime Minister from Western Canada, Mr Steven Harper, sounds more like that western part of the nation and not like a hoser like Bob Mac Kenzie, even though Mr Harper is a native of the Toronto Area.

Not all Canadians sound the same. Neither do all natives of The Borough of Brooklyn sound the same.

Zipadapadolimine Consumption By Mr Aaron Heilman Of The Mets Bullpen

OK-his mind isn't really all there, as he gave up a 3 Run BOMB, but the Mets, thanks to Fernando Tatis' 2 Homers, made the difference in a 6-5 Victory:

Wait! Did I just run afoul of The Human Rights Commission in Ottawa, as I've just criticized Heilman's lack of pitching prowess?

You guys can't sue me. I'm based in Queens, NY. AND I'm a Native of BROOKLYN;

Later, Eh!

We In The US Of A Now Border The UCSP

U C S P stands for the United Canadian Socialist Provinces:

My Brother Sir Knight Of Columbus, spoke with a Constable in Branford, ON(Ontario), the Constable being a Sir Knight of Columbus, in short, the 4th Degree and found out the following information;

Canada, though heavily Catholic, is more like Cuba(Cuber as pronounced by J F K), in that freedom of speech is severely-limited;

There are "Human Rights Commissions" in the Provinces and one based in Ottawa, The Capital;

You may not criticize Africans, as The Canadians use that word for Blacks;

You may not criticize Moslems;

You may not criticize French Canadians;

If you do, you face arrest or may be sued by the "Human Rights Commissions" in the Province or by the Federal One in Ottawa, especially if you're a Citizen Of Canada, or a British Subject, Domiciled In Canada;

Whoa!

Any Americans who go up North to "The Great White North", in the words of Bob and Doug Mac Kenzie, are in for some culture shock, eh;

I suppose that I may catch heck for stating that "O Canada" was, in part, written by a Southern Confederate States Of America, Civil War General;

And, in Southern Ontario, Blacks(Africans), are NOT Tolerated;

AND, in Canada, many would love to come South to The States and vote for Senator Barack Obama, in the U S Elections. I think that something might be arranged by the NY County Democrats in Washington Heights, in Upper Manhattan;

Wild Country, Eh!

Later!
