Justrite Friday Challenge #89

This week's JustRite Friday Challenge is allowing just about anything as long as your project still has a JustRite stamp... ooops I forgot that we are also supposed to use our favorite stamp set and explain why it's our favorite.  Unfortunately, I don't own too many JustRite stamp sets to pick a favorite... at least, not yet

I decided to use one of the sketches from the weekly Card Sketch Challenge along with the Ad colors to make this simple card

The stamp is from "Whimsical Christmas" set by JustRite and the frame is from Spellbinders.  This is the first time I made rolled up flowers.  They are from Cricut cartridge: Art Philosophy .  I inked them before rolling them up then dabbed them with glitter glue. The stamp is heat embossed

Thanks for looking!

Card size - 4.25" x 5.5"

Supplies used:
Papers - DCWV
JustRite - stamp
Sizzix - leafy branch
Spellbinder - frame and circle
Cricut cartridge: Art Philosophy - flowers

Also made for sketch 1 of RAQ's 1-30 Card Sketch Challenge

JustRite Friday Challenge #88

JustRite Friday Challenge has a sketch challenge this time around.  We didn't have to follow the sketch exactly but as long as it looked like it was inspired by the sketch, it was allowed

Here is my version of their sketch challenge...

The stamp is from "Summer Words" set by JustRite and the frames and flourish are Spellbinders.  Staying as close to the sketch as possible, I used the diamond cut background from Cricut Wild Card cartridge.  The flowers are 5 layers of Fiskars flower punch made into roses and the lace trims were given to me by a My Sheri Crafts Design Team sister, Charlotte

Supplies used:
Card size - 4.25" x 5.5"
Papers - Close to My Heart
Fiskars - flower punch
JustRite - stamp
Spellbinder - frames and flourish
Cricut cartridge: Wild Card - diamond background

JustRite Friday Challenge #86

It's a color challenge this week over at JustRite Friday Challenge and it's based on a peacock feather... hence the title

This is what a came up with using papers from DCWV: Taj Mahal Stack

The stamp is from "Summer Words" set by JustRite and then I used white heat embossing powder.  I also used 6 Spellbinders die cuts

Supplies used:
Card size - 4.75" x 4"
Papers - DCWV
Fiskars - corner punch
JustRite - stamp
Spellbinder - rectangles and flourish

Also made for sketch 4 of RAQ's 11-21 Card Sketch Challenge

JustRite Friday Challenge #85

The requirement for this week's challenge over at JustRite Friday Challenge is to use at least two die cut elements on a holiday project

The stamp is from "Whimsical Christmas Set" by JustRite and then heat embossed it.  I also used three Spellbinders die cuts plus a Cricut cut

Supplies used:
Card size - 5.5" x 4.25"
Papers - Close to My Heart
Cuttlebug - embossing
Fiskars - border punch and flower punch
JustRite - stamp
Spellbinder - foliage, labels seventeen, and scalloped circle
Cricut cartridge: Accent Essentials - large pink flowers

JustRite Friday Challenge #84

The requirement for this week's challenge over at JustRite Friday Challenge is to use at least three flower embellishment on your project.  Flowers... on a project?  Easy!

I decided to use one of the stamps from "A Little Caffeine Set" by JustRite and then heat embossed it.  Inside the card, I had used the cut "miss talking to you" from the Cricut Wild Card cartridge.  The flowers are silk and each a stack of four layers

Supplies used:
Card size - 4.25" x 5.5"
Papers - DCWV
JustRite - stamp
Perfect Pearls - used on the flourish and cut inside the card
Spellbinder - flourish
Cricut cartridge: Wild Card - "miss talking to you"

Also made for sketch 2 of RAQ's 10-17 Card Sketch Challenge

JustRite Friday Challenge #83

Here is my entry to JustRite Friday Challenge.  The theme this time is to use three different coordinating patterned paper.  The papers I chose is from the "Wings" paper pack from Close to My Heart... because they already do all the coordinating for you and this appeals to my laziness quite well

The stamp is from the Custom Cardmaking Kit by JustRite and then heat embossed.  The flowers are layers of 5 flower punch, covered with Perfect Pearls pigment, and made into roses.  The flourish and the butterfly are also covered with Perfect Pearls pigment.  Stitching is made with DMC floss

Supplies used:
Card size - 5" x 5"
Papers - Close to My Heart
ek success - leaves
Cheery Lynn - butterfly
Fiskars - flower punch used to make the roses
Spellbinder - Fleur de lis square
Cricut cartridge: Home Decor - flourish

JustRite Friday Challenge #82

I haven't participated in JustRite Friday Challenge in a while so I felt this is the right time to come back with this week's theme... "Be Supportive"

Quite a simple card really.  The stamp is from Custom Design Cardmaking Kit and heat embossed.  The flourish are from a Cricut cartridge - Home Decor and I covered it with Perfect Pearls pigment to make it nice and shiny.  I made the flowers from using five layers of a Fiskars punch for each rose

Supplies used:
  • Papers - DCWV
  • Fiskars - flower punch
  • JustRite - stamped sentiment and heat embossed
  • Sizzix - leafy branches
  • Spellbinder - scalloped oval and and the cut below it
  • Cricut cartridge: Home Decor - flourish

Also made for sketch 3 of RAQ's 9-19 Card Sketch Challenge hosted by SandyPalmer

JustRite Friday Challenge #76

This week's theme at JustRite Friday Challenge is to create a project using stars and stripes but not necessarily a patriotic theme.  Well, how about a Christmas theme?

Using only scraps and left over embellishments... I made another Christmas card to add to my stash.  The stars are actually charms and I cut off the connectors.  Three stacks of Spellbinder frames and I used heat embossing for the sentiment.  The sentiment is from the Whimsical Christmas Set collection by JustRite stamps.  I can no longer find this stamp set on their website to link it.  Maybe it's retired?

  • Card size - 5.5" x 4.25"
  • Papers - JoAnn's
  • JustRite - stamped sentiment and heat embossed
  • Spellbinder - scalloped circle and circle frames
Also made for sketch 3 of RAQ's 6-27 Card Sketch Challenge hosted by SandyPalmer

JustRite Friday Challenge #74

This week's theme at JustRite Friday Challenge is to create a Vintage Masculine card... no idea how to make vintage cards since that's just not my thing.  I prefer bright vibrant cards with cupcakes on them!  LOL!  However, to support my friend, Sheri... I attempted to make one.

I wanted to make something that looked sort of old but also combine it with crisp clean embellishments.  That is the reason for all the black embellishments... they're sharp and clean looking and hopefully help the viewer focus on it more than the old crumpled paper.  Heee heee!  The sentiment "You are the Best" is from the Summer Words - Clear collection by JustRite stamps.
  • Card size - 4.25" x 5.5"
  • Papers - DCWV
  • JustRite - stamped sentiment
  • Close to My Heart - black brads
  • Crop-A-Dile - for the eyelets
  • Tim Holtz distressing inks

Also made for sketch 1 of RAQ's 6-13 Card Sketch Challenge hosted by BingoLady

JustRite Friday Challenge #73

This week's theme at JustRite Friday Challenge is to create any shaped card as long as it's not the traditional square or rectangle shape.  I decided to use this hand shape from the Cricut cartridge Sentimentals because I've been wanting to use it for something... anything really!  LOL!

I had a lot of fun making this... got to use up a lot of things that's been sitting in my stash like the frilly lace I used for the sleeve cuff, tiny silk flowers, and the pearls.  I created the ring by heat embossing a strip of silver as the base of the ring and I cut off a brad to use as the diamond.   The sentiment "Save the Date" is from the Summer Words - Clear collection by JustRite stamps and heat embossed with silver.  The leaves accent is from the Botanical Butterflies - Clear collection also by JustRite stamps and heat embossed with green
  • Card size - fits a 4.25" x 5.5" envelop
  • Papers - DCWV
  • JustRite - stamped sentiment and leaves and heat embossed
  • Sizzix - leafy branches
  • Flowers are silk and stacked in 8 layers
  • Cricut cartridge: Sentimentals - hand and notecard

JustRite Friday Challenge #71

This week's theme at JustRite Friday Challenge is to create a project using these colors: yellow, pink, and peach

I made this card using the color requirements but also with the extra credit requirement from this week's RAQ's Card Sketch Challenge using hand-made embellishments.  I made each of the flowers using Fiskars flower punch and each has 5 layers... ink, embossed, and painted with glitter.  The sentiment is from the Custom Design Cardmaking Kit by JustRite stamps and heat embossed
  • Card size - 4.25" x 5.5"
  • Papers - DCWV
  • ek success - butterfly punch
  • Fiskars - flower punch in 5 layers and painted with glitter
  • JustRite - stamped sentiment and heat embossed
  • Sizzix - leafy branches
  • Spellbinder - Lacey Circle and Labels Seventeen
  • Cricut cartridge: Home Decor - flourish
Made also for sketch 2 of RAQ's 4-25 Card Sketch Challenge hosted by AcrossThePond

JustRite Friday Challenge #70

This week's theme at JustRite Friday Challenge is all about making your own background paper using any JustRite stamps.  I don't have any background stamps from JustRite, so I had to create my own using a 2" circle stamper and 3 different stamps from different sets.  I also used heat embossing to make it stand out a bit

  • Card size - 5.5" x 8.5"
  • Papers - DCWV
  • Cuttlebug - embossing
  • JustRite - stamped sentiment and background and heat embossed
  • Sizzix - leafy branches
  • Spellbinder - Lacey Circles
  • Stickles - center of flowers
  • Satin flowers are in 8 layers and sprayed with faux glimmer mist
  • Cricut cartridge: Home Decor - flourish
Made also for sketch 1 of RAQ's 4-11 Card Sketch Challenge hosted by cstanzione

JustRite Friday Challenge: #069

This is my first card entry to JustRite Friday Challenge.  Now that Sheri Holt (our awesome DT leader at My Sheri Crafts) is the new official host for this challenge... I will try and support her and participate each time.

For challenge #069, we are to use "soft spring" colors.  I'm not exactly sure if my card qualifies as "soft spring" colors.  LoL!  Looks more vibrant summer colors to me.  Oh well!  We're also supposed to have at least one butterfly and of course, use some sort of JustRite stamp on the project.

  • Card size - 4.25" x 5.5"
  • Papers with coordinating strings - Basic Gray
  • ek Success - triple butterfly layers
  • JustRite stamp - Times New Roman 50pt. "Hello"
  • Sizzix - leafy branch
  • Spellbinder - Fleur de Lis Squares
  • Flowers and butterfly painted with glitter glue
