12 Weeks of Christmas #8

Hello everyone!  It is Thursday, which means it is time for another 12 weeks of Christmas post.  The holidays are starting to feel a lot closer now.  We are officially into November, and I am doing my first holiday bazaar today.

Today, I am sharing a set of Christmas cards.  This is a set of five cards, that mostly feature products from the Merry Little Christmas suite, and are packaged in an Acetate Card Box.  I embossed the box with the Winter Wonder embossing folder, before wrapping it in ribbon.

Here is my project:

The fun acetate card boxes are the best way to give someone a set of cards.  Five cards, and envelopes fit inside the box.  Next, I show you a closer look at each of the cards inside.

12 Weeks of Christmas #9

Nine full weeks until Christmas.  That doesn't feel like many.  This week has been a little hectic at our house, so I just have a card to share.

Here it is:

I just love the Watercolor Christmas stamp set from the Holiday Catalog.  The greetings in this set look the way I want my natural chicken scratch, I mean handwriting to look.  This card starts with a Cherry Cobbler card base, that was embossed with the Holly embossing folder.  Then I have a layer of Garden Green that measures 2 1/2" x 5 1/2".  Next I used some Gold Foil paper to mat my Be Merry Designer Series Paper.  I wrapped some 1/8" Gold Ribbon around, and then attached my greeting with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The greeting was stamped in Versamark onto Garden Green paper, and embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.  I added some Metallic Enamel Shapes to the edge of my Everyday Label Punch, and voila, the card was complete.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

12 Weeks of Christmas - #10

Hello everyone!  I can't believe there are only 10 weeks left until Christmas.  I know I say that every week.  But, it really does surprise me each and every week.  Today, I am sharing a gift set of 3x3 cards that I made.

Here is my project:

My cards all fit inside of this decrorated pizza box.  You can find these on page 44 of the holiday catalog.  You get 8 boxes in a pack, for only $6 US.  They are food safe, and would be great for many different kinds of treats.  For my project, I put five 3x3 cards, with matching envelopes inside.

Here are my cards:

My gift set features the Merry Mistletoe stamp set, and coordinating Be Merry Designer Series Paper.  (This is one of the packs that are on sale right now!)  I wanted to use all of the stamps in the set, but fell a little short and did not use one of the tree images.  All of the projects feature some gold embossing.  I love gold on christmas projects.  Well, who am I kidding, I love all things metallic on all projects.  Ha ha ha!  I covered the flaps of the 3x3 envelopes with the paper that matched each card.  By the way - did you know that we sell 3x3 envelopes again?!?!!!  So happy to see them back!  They are on page 44 of the holiday catalog.  You get 40 in a pack, for $9 US.

Have you started working on any Christmas projects yet?

12 Weeks of Christmas #11

Hello everyone!  It is Thursday, and that means another #12weeksofchristmas post.  It is hard to believe it, but there are just 11 weeks left.  Today, I'm sharing a card, and an ornament I made using the Year of Cheer product suite in the Holiday Catalog.  This fun product suite features all things metallic.   Today, I have made a card, and a coordinating Christmas ornament.

Here are my projects:

I really love how the projects look together.

Here is a close up of the card.

The card is very simple.  I started with a Basic Black card base.  I added a piece of Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper.  This paper is amazing.  You get 3 pieces each, of four different designs and they all have great foiled metallic designs.  For my next card layer, I cut a strip of Basic Black card stock, and made a banner using the Triple Banner Punch.  I then added a Foil Snowflake.  These snowflakes are one of my favorite accessories.  You get 24 in a package (12 gold, and 12 silver).  The back of the snowflakes are white, so you can make any color you want.  My greeting on the card comes from the Cheers to the Year stamp set.  I stamped my greeting in Basic Black Archival Ink onto Gold Foil paper.  I cut the greeting out using the Layering Circle Framelits dies.  I used the same dies to cut a mat for the greeting, in Basic Black.

Here is my ornament.

The snowflakes have two different kinds of tips.  One kind of looks like a heart.  To give my ornament some dimension, I folded all of the heart tips into mountains.  I then folded the other tips into valleys, giving my snowflake an accordian fold.  I set that snowflake aside.  For my hanger, I glued two ends of a piece of Gold 1/8" Ribbon to a Basic Black cardstock circle.  Then I glued a second snowflake onto a Basic Black cardstock circle.  I then was able to glue my folded snowflake on top, gluing down only the center so that the folded edges still stand up.  For the center I used the Layering Circle Framelit Dies to cut out a Gold Foil circle, and a Basic Black Mat.  I used a snowflake from the Cheers to Year stamp set, with Basic Black Archival ink on the Gold Foil Paper.  The circles are attached to the snowflake with a Stampin' Dimensional.  I topped it off with a Metal Rimmed Pearl.

In this side view, you can see the flat snowflake, under the folded one.
