Creation Station is at Santa's Workshop

Tis the season for Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Our theme for this month's Creation Station Blog Hop is "Santa's Workshop." I thought I would make the season bright with several Christmassy projects featuring the Festive Tags Kit. I love this kit as you can make fun and fabulous tags or dress them up and make them into cards and packages.

Look how fun this Flirty Flamingo Christmas card is. The focal point is a tag from the Festive Tags Kit. I dressed up the tag with some Pool Party Ribbon and a couple Gold Glimmer pine boughs. I think my favorite addition are the red embellishments from the Loose Holly and Gems Pack.

I dressed this tag up and turned it into a sparkling Christmas card. I used one of the Brushed Gold Cards and Envelopes to base one of the gold striped tags from the Kit. The added snowflakes were die cut with the Chic Dies and I used the Wanted to Say Dies for the "celebrate" greeting.

I made this double diamond fold bag and dressed it up with one of the Festive tags. I used two pieces of the Garden Walk 6" x 6" DSP to put this bag together and then I tied some Petal Pink ribbon to close it up.

Here's a look from the top so you can see the cool dimension.

Thank you for spending a few moments with me today. Next up in today's Santa's Workshop is the wonderfully amazing Mikaela Titheridge. Click on over to see what she has been whipping up for this Christmas season.

Fluffiest Friends for a Sketch Challenge

Is this happy bear totally cute or what? I used the Fluffiest Friends Stamp set to put this card together for our latest sketch challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

The printed paper is from the upcoming Bee Mine 12" x 12" DSP. Did you notice the three small enamel flowers? Those are also new and will be available in the Jan-April Mini Catalog. They are called Adhesive Backed Hearts and Flowers.

Artisan Post #17 - Meandering Meadow

In November Stampin' Up! released an online exclusive suite collection called Meandering Meadow. I think it's a great juxtaposition of painted Designer Series Papers and open line images. I created these three projects for an Artisan Design Team assignment. I totally enjoyed making them and I've made lots more since.

Artisan Post #16 - Modern Garden

Give texture to solid style images. I've used the florals from the Modern Garden Stamp Set to make a beautiful fall themed greeting card.

This first tip is super simple. Ink up your solid image, lightly or barely stamp off on scratch paper, then stamp. Each image will be unique and will have an organic mottled look.

These two tips are easy as well. Ink up your solid image, press inked image onto an embossing folder, then stamp. Or, combine the first tip of barely stamping off with pressing into a folder for a third textural look.

Joy of Noel

Welcome stampin' friends to another Monday Montage Blog Hop. For this go 'round I thought I would share a card I made using the Joy of Noel Bundle. I love the mix of Pebbled Path with Lost Lagoon, Crumb Cake, Soft Seafoam, and Gold Glimmer.

I love how the Joy of Noel Dies includes a piece that is designed to accentuate the NOEL letters. The die has five leaf branches. Three are straight and two are curved to fit the letter O. It's so smart on Stampin' Up!'s part to make this cool addition to the design of these dies.

There is also a small circle die that is perfect for making berries. I die cut five to accent the letters. After I had them adhered to my card I applied Fine Tip Liquid Glue to them. Once the glue was dry the finished look is like an enamel dot.

Next up in our hop is Wendy or if you're moving in the opposite direction you can go back to Dani.

#TGIF447 Gratitude & Blessings

For our latest challenge at #TGIF447 I chose to mix Christmas with wishing a blessing. What nicer way to express gratitude than to wish someone the "blessings of Christmas."

This card is made using the Modern Garden Stamp Set, the Paper Florist Dies, Countryside Corners Dies, and Modern Garden DSP. I based my card on a Poppy Parade and gave it a gate fold. I also made a clean and simple belly band to give the card an extra special touch.

Here's a look at the inside of my card. I included a pocket so I could tuck a gift card to give an extra special thank you. I kept the stampin' simple and added just a touch in the corner.

Best Wishes & Happy Thoughts

I used the Nature's Print Stamp Set to create this "best wishes and happy thoughts" card for our latest color challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments. For this color mix up we are stampin' and creating with Pebbled Path, Berry Burst, and Mossy Meadow. I made a Z fold style card that features a die cut wreath with accents.

What would you make using these colors?

It's hard to tell, but I did color the black and white gingham ribbon with a Bubble Bath Stampin' Blend. It added just a hint of color which softened the stark contrast between the black and the white. Also, I included a strip of Cheerful Daisies DSP. It was a quick way to give a bit of textural and visual interest to the front of the card and it highlights the Z fold of the card.

Artisan Post #15 - Rustic Crate

The Rustic Crate Bundle was my Artisan Design Team assignment for October. I totally enjoy collecting vintage and antique accessories like soda bottle boxes, fruit crates, tin boxes and stuff like that. When I saw this stamp set and set of dies I was totally lovin' the 3D crate.

I thought this card was pretty clever. I used the crate image to make a fence. And on that fence I added pumpkins and sunflowers. It reminds me of this house near where I lived growing up. Every fall they decorated their fence with a bunch of scarecrows and dried corn stalks.

The details included in the set of dies is super awesome. I love the wood grain, which I enhanced by pressing the die into an ink pad before I ran it through the Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine. I also love the little dies to make the crates even more detailed.
