Happy Times~

Happy Monday! I have a few things to share with you today! It's Thanksgiving week here in the states. I know this week is just gonna fly by and I want to savor it as much as possible, the whole holiday season really! My birthday was last Saturday and I treated myself to a new journal. Not just any journal but, a lovely brown leather bound journal. I just love it! My intention is to record a little something every day. To really savor this truly amazing time of year. To remember because, I know that if I don't write it down I never will.

I got a little crafty time on Saturday so I sat down and just played! It was glorious! :)

This cute little darling is Stamping Bella colored with Copic Markers. I just love her! Lots of lovely My Minds Eye (Life of the party) layers at work here. Both the border and flourish die are My Favorite Things! I added a touch of Stickles to the cake. Who wouldn't like a little sparkle on their birthday cake? LOL! A bit of Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon finishes the job! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous day!

Anything Goes~

It is a beautiful, bright morning here in the Pacific Northwest. The air is brisk with just the slightest bit of wind. It's hard to stay indoors when it is just so darned nice outside. Fall has officially arrived. I am enjoying a lovely steaming hot beverage. Have I meantioned that I am addicted to hot beverages in almost all forms? Well I am and Autumn is definitely my season! It's Thursday and that means another Pixie Dust Studio Challenge! Are you excited? This week the theme is Anything Goes. It really couldn't be any easier!

This sweet little Pixie is just so much fun to color with Copic Markers! The pattern paper is Jillybean Soup. It's so fresh and lively! The design is pretty basic, a few pieces of lovely paper. The flourish die is My Favorite Things, and it really is you know! Two simple crisscross stitches in dark brown Coats & Clark thread complete the card. Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope that you will play along with us this week! Until next time! TTFN!

Pixie Color Challenge~

Are you ready for another Pixie Dust Studio Challenge? Well then you came to the right place! It's Pixie Dust time! This week we have a fun color challenge. I hope you will play along.

These colors are perfect for a Halloween card! Don't you think?

This little Pixie is just too cute to spook! Have I mentioned that I LOVE to make Halloween cards? Next to Christmas it is just my favorite! So as I am sure you have guessed, I colored her in with Copic Markers. The paper is OLD Doodle Bug Designs (Yeah I am using up my stash!). The border and Twine are from My Favorite Things, as is the sketch for this card. The buttons are from my giant button jar so, I have no idea who made them. Sorry! Thank you for stopping by. I hope that you will play along this week!

Z is for ...

Happy Friday all! This week has really flown by for me. I have a fun little card to share with you today. I made this for a baby shower I attended a couple of weeks ago.

I got lucky and found an adorable little sleeper that matched my card! Which was perfect because the Mommy-to-be's last name starts with Z and the outfit said "Z is for .." Too perfect! This adorable little Zebra is Pixie Dust Studio. The designer paper is Stampin' Up!. I used my mat pack and paper piercer to add a little subtle texture. The matching dies are My Favorite Things and the ribbon is retired Stampin' Up!. Thanks so much for stopping by the blog. Have a fabulous weekend darling! :)

Pixie Flix Time~

Hello Pixie Fans! It's time for another Pixie Flix challenge! This week we have a super fun flix for you! Are you ready?

Isn't he just the most handsome of all of the Pixies? I agree! :) Fall is in the air. Thus, a fall themed card. The paper I used is Autumn Splendor by We R Memory Keepers. Yeah, I changed it up! LOL! I colored our little friend in with Copic Markers. I just love my Copics! The flourish die is My Favorite Things, the border die is The Cat's Pajamas, and the "ribbon" is retired Stampin' Up!. This is a fairly large card, 5.25" square. I just adore a square card! Ok, if you want to know which movie this card is based on head over to Pixie Dust Studio Challenge blog! Thanks for stopping by!

Photo Inspiration~

Hey all! It's Pixie Dust Studio Challenge time again! This week we have a super fun photo inspiration challenge to play along with.

This is quite the room. So many patterns, colors, and texture. Do you want to see my take on it?

This sweet little Pixie has been sitting on my desk just waiting to be colored for a few weeks now. I had so much fun creating with her. Now this would not be my first choice of color combos. Which is why it's great to have a challenge! I colored her in with Copic Markers and mounted her on black cardstock. The pattern paper in Authentique. A My Favorite Things border die and Stampin' Up! ribbon and gemstone brads finish the job. Thanks so much for stopping by. Be sure to head over to the Pixie Dust Studio Challenge Blog for more Pixie inspiration!

Apple For The Teacher~

Who's ready for another Ways To Use It challenge? Well then you are in luck because it's that time! This week I am the host and the theme is APPLES!

There are so many ways that you can go with this challenge. I decided to create a teacher card featuring apples. You could make a fall themed card or go with fruit, desserts. The sky is the limit! The stamp that I chose is Hambo! I just love this stamp! I kept the design pretty simple. A little Basic Grey paper and Kraft, White, and Red cardstock. I rounded the upper right corner with my corner rounder. Sometimes it's nice to break out the basics! The border die is My Favorite Things! A touch of white satin ribbon tied into a simple knot and adorned with a button finish the card. If you are in the mood for some amazing eye candy be sure to stop by Splitcoaststampers and check out all of the the Apple themed cards this week! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Celebrate the Olympics~

It's Pixie Dust Studio time! I missed y'all last week. I had a card to post but, I got super sick and never posted it. Perhaps it'll be a bonus post last in the week. We shall see. Back to the current Pixie Dust Studio challenge.

It's time for the Olympics and Pixie is so proud! I just love this sweet little stamp! Kathy is such a genius! It's my same basic card formula. SU! cardstock base, another layer of cardstock. A little Basic Grey pattern paper in Serendipity & Picadilly. The ribbon and brads are retired Stampin' Up! The pennant dies & border are My Favorite Things. I colored Pixie in with Copics. That is that. Maybe I'll spice it up a little more next week. I do hope you will play along with us this week over at the challenge blog! Thanks for stopping by.

In Stitches~

Happy Thursday! It's Ways To Use It time! I am the host this week and my theme is stitching (real or faux). I am moderatly addicted to my sewing machine and I just LOVE sewing on cards. I do hope you will stop by and play along with us!

What we have here is a much loved Pure Innocence from MFT. I colored her in with Copic Markers and fussy cut her dress. The pattern paper is Basic Grey Serendipity. I swoon! This is some seriously gorgeous paper! You can't tell from this picture but, I added a touch of crystal Stickles to her wand and wings. I mean every little fairy needs bling. It's like a rule or something. Right? The border die and label are both MFT. Yes, My Favorite Things is one of MFT! LOL! Three little craft store buttons finish the job. The inspiration for this card came from MFTWSC80. It's been to long since I have been able to play along! Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a fabulous day! :)

The Girly Version~

The other day I shared two "Man" cards with you. While I was creating them I thought it would be fun to make a similar card featuring girly colors and elements.

She is quite cute if I do say so myself! The stamp is My Favorite Things, saying is The Cat's Pajamas, and the die is also TCP. I colored her in with Copics and added a touch of delicious My Minds Eye pattern paper. I have to admit that I LOVE me some MME! It's an addiction really! Shhh, don't tell. A bit of sheer white Offray ribbon tied in a simple knot sealed the deal. She was super easy to put together. I just loved the whole process! Thanks so much stopping by. I have more fabulousness to share with you later in the week, including more Pixie Dust Studio and an original piece of art... Stay tuned! :)

Man Cards~

Father's day is just around the corner which means that I have a nice little list of important men who at the very least deserve a card. I have to admit that man cards are some what of a challenge for me. I love ribbon, sparkles, and girly colors. Well it just so happens that I am the host for the Ways to Use it challenge this week over on Splitcoast stampers. I thought that this was the perfect excuse to have a man card challenge!

Two difference cards using the same basic supplies, give or take a button or twine. This adorable little guy is from My Favorite Things, the die is The Cat's Pajamas. The paper is SU! cardstock and MME pattern paper. I broke out the Copics for these. I have to say that I love the way they turned out. It has been too long since I sat down and played. Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope that you can play along!

Distressed~

Hey all! It's a beautiful spring day here. I just want to go outside and play in the sun. I have a fun little card to share with you.

I created this card for a Ways to Use it challenge a few weeks back. The challenge was to distress. I had honestly forgotten how much I love to distress. I used both a nail file and ink. I kept the design super simple. All of the products for this card were already sitting on my desk. I love me some crafty recycling! The dies are My Favorite Things. Be sure to check out the awesome Ways to Use it challenge over on Splitcoaststampers this week! That's all I have for today. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Gorjuss Borders~

Greetings. I was able to get some crafty time in yesterday! Yay!!! It's a good thing too because, Cathy has an awesome challenge for us today over on Splitcoast. This weeks Ways to Use It challenge is to USE Border punches and dies. If you don't have any then you can use deco scissors too.

As I was flipping through my stamp basket I stumbled upon this Gorjuss girl. I could not believe that I have had her for months and still not inked her up. She was an easy choice for sure. She is just so darned cute!!! The pattern paper is Authentique Splendid. I love my dies!!! It was so hard for me to choose. I settled on MFT Open Scallop Border die-namic and Open Scallop Doily Duo Die-namic layered. I think they frame our Gorjuss girl perfectly!!! I added a little stitching with my Brother sewing machine for texture and because lets face it, I am addicted to my sewing machine. I had so much fun making this card. It's been awhile since I have had a chance to use my Copics. I guess that is the one drawback of having so many darned crafty projects on the proverbial table. :) Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you will pop over to SCS and join in the Ways to Use it challenge this week!

Bling It On~

Holy craftiness Batman, have I got something special to share with you today! It's the end of the month which means it's time for another My Favorite Things guest designer contest. The theme this month is "Bling it on!". The wheels in my head started turning. There are so many awesome forms of bling out there, where would I begin??? My biggest challenge was not to go overboard. :)

I decided to go with MFT Wednesday Stamp Club #43.

The long skinny panel was made for Ă  la modes! I inked up Time to Celebrate and colored her in with my Copics. I paper pieced the bottom layers of the cake and slathered on the Dazzling Diamonds glitter. I only wish you could get the full affect of the sparkly goodness from the picture! I had a hard time deciding on the pattern paper but, in the end I went with My Minds Eye (shocker, I know! ;) ). My Janome and I are not speaking again so I couldn't stitch like I wanted to. Next best thing was to paper pierce around the edges. I added the Faux Crochet Border strip under the SU! Organdy ribbon (even it has a blingy quality!). Lastly I put silver Making Memories brads in the corners and added the final touch, Flourish BLING!!!

What card would be complete without some BLING on the inside too? I kept the inner design pretty basic. Now that I look at it I think it could make a nice, simple card front. :) Check out the Faux Crochet Die-namics, I double it up to give it a matted look. I will definitely be doing it again! The sentiment is mounted on a scallop circle (Spellbinders) and circled with BLING, which is layered on top of the smallest Decorative Doily Duo Die-namic. That does it for me. Thanks so much for stopping by. If you get a chance hop over to the Gallery at Splitcoast Stampers to see the rest of the cards for this contest. There is some major eye candy.

Free Time~

It's a rare night that I find myself with time to stamp, and to be honest I am usually too tired. A few nights ago I found myself in a crafty mood. I didn't have any challenges to complete or DT assignments. This rare jewel of crafting was just for me!!! I grabbed this super cute Pure Innocence and went for a scrappy layered look. She is colored in with Copics and I paper pieced her dress.

I grabbed scraps from the scrap basket on my desk and ripped a page out of my "for crafting" book. I inked up the layers, added a few MFT Die-namics and 4 square Ice brad for bling! A strip of SU! organdy ribbon tied into a knot and it's complete! Have an awesome weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by.

Hello, My Pretty~

Halloween is just around the corner and although I don't like the cold I have to admit that this is my favorite time of the year! I love Halloween (not the yucky side of it). Pumpkins, costumes, and all of the festivities! Hurrah! Today I have My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Club #40. I don't think I have missed a week since I stumbled upon them.

Yes, I did use Pure Innocence Little Witch again this week. Are you getting sick of her? I hope not because, I think she is adorable! I only have a few more weeks that she is seasonally appropriate. Then it's to the back of the stamp basket for her for another year. Boo! I might be able to have her lose the broom and be a pilgrim. :) I had to add a few pumpkins (Verve) to the mix.

As you can tell I stuck to the sketch. It's so basic, which I love! :)

I did a little something to the inside as well! That does it today. Be sure to stop back tomorrow for my Hambo Hoedown post! You are gonna love it!

Disco Witch~

It's time to Get Sketchy again with MFT. The sketch for this week was a lot of fun to play along with.

Since I already had a ton of MFT products on my desk I decided to just go with it and use what was there.

I used almost all of the same elements as the card I made for the MFT Oct Guest Designer contest but, I did change it up a bit. I chose different DP for her paper pieced dress and hat. You will notice that she is very retro looking. I am referring to her as Disco Witch. :) I made her a blonde because, they apparently have more fun. HA! I also "borrowed" the belt on her hat and added it to her dress. Yes, she is a hip little witch!

I LOVE the candy corn ribbon. I picked it up at Joann's on my last trip. You can't tell here but, it's sparkly. I swoon! :) Everything else is pretty straight forward. Supplies are listed below. Thanks so much for stopping by! TTFN~

Supplies~ Cardstock- SU!. DP- Doodlebug Designs. Ink- SU!, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers, Die-namics- Open Scallop Border, Open Scallop Doily Due, Fany Flourish. Scallop Circle- SU! Punch. Brads- Making Memories. Ribbon- Holiday Inspirations Jo-Ann. Janome Sew Mini Sewing Machine.

Perfect Package~

It's time for another My Favorite Things Guest Designer contest. The theme for October is "Perfect Package". I had to think about this theme for a few days. Then it hit me. Well it was pretty obvious really! HALLOWEEN! It's seasonally appropriate, one of My Favorite holidays, and I just got the new Pure Innocence Little Witch from the last MFT release! KISMET! So here is my perfect package~ Halloween style...

What we have here is a card, goody bag with gift tag topper, candle (for decoration only, not to be lit), decorative jar of candy corns, and a candy bucket. I used a lot of the same elements to help tie all of the items together. Cute little witch PI is paper pieced and colored with Copic Markers. I think the thing I love the most about this set is that just by changing a few basic elements it would be perfect for any gift giving occasion (Christmas, baby shower, Valentines Day, Mother's Day etc...).

The Candle and Goody Bag have basically the same tag, give or take a few elements. I hand rolled the black seam binding roses. The "Boo" banner on the card and banner around the candy corn jar is fabric that I ran through the Big Shot with my MFT Pennant Die-namic. Once I had punched out a whole bunch I threaded them with a needle and voilĂ  instant mini banner! :) I have to admit discovering this made me ridiculously happy! LOL! The candy bucket is from Target Dollar Spot. I wrapped it in the same fabric (that I got at Joanns) and attached my ribbon combo and layered tag.

Here's a close up of the goody bag. The topper is a Fabric Top Note Die and then my layered tag. A bit of SU! and Offray ribbon complete the look and keep the cello bag closed and the goodies inside! :)

The card features a "BOO" banner. The letters are old Creative Memories letter stickers but, any small white letters would do! Since my Janome and I are still not speaking I faux stitched around my card with my Uni-ball Signo White Gel Pen. The candle is pretty basic. I wrapped it with fabric and attached my layered tag. This is definitely for decoration only. No fire please! ;) That's it in a nut shell. I had a lot of fun creating this ensemble. If you have any questions please let me know in the comments. I really hope that I get the chance to play along with the uber talented girls at MFT and share more amazing projects with you as the Guest Designer. It would be a huge honor! The other entries into this months contest are seriously amazing! You can check out all of the eye candy here! I wish all of the girls who entered the best of luck! Stop back later in the week for a step by step tutorial on how I created my layered tag. I may even try out a few themes.:) As always thanks for looking!

MFTWSC38

Happy Saturday morning to you. I have a stack of cards to share but, I thought it would be more fun if I spread them out instead of sharing them all in a day or two. Today I have last weeks My Favorite Things sketch challenge to share.

I loved how straight forward this sketch was. I decided to stick with a sentiment only card. I love having a few of these sitting in my card basket just waiting for the perfect recipient.

I used the MFT All Smiles Set and Authentique DP! You are always seeing the ever awesome Die-namics Open Scallop Border and Fancy Flourish in action! I just love them! I added a little Uni-ball Signo White Gel Pen to my scallop rectangle for added detail. Thanks for stopping by!
