Spicy Black Pepper Beef Liver


I bought a piece of beef liver and decided to make a stir-fry black pepper beef liver.
It was cook according to the oriental style.

Spicy Black Pepper Beef Liver (辣味黑胡椒牛肝):

Ingredients A :
beef liver 
julienne ginger 
french cut half an onion
chopped garlic
red and green chilli

Seasoning(B) :
crushed black peppercorns
corn flour
fish sauce 
black soy sauce ( optional)
sugar

Cooking Method:
1. Thinly slice beef liver to about 3-4 mm.
2. Marinate the beef liver with seasoning (B) + ginger+  green + red chilli for 15 mins
3. Heat the frying-pan :+ ginger and onion + marinated beef liver. 
4. Stir fry the beef with high heat for 1 mins + hot water and fry for 2 mins.
( * Longer cooking time will cause beef liver hard and tough in texture )











Lunch Menu :
1. Stir-fried Spicy Black Pepper and Beef Liver 辣味黑胡椒牛肝
2. Saute Little Bok Choy - no salt 清炒小白菜 - 无盐

Chinese Style Beef (Brisket) Noodle

This stall is at Jalan Guntung,  Buntung, Ipoh.( 怡保文冬口牛腩面)
We needed to drive 40 minutes to Buntung and had been waiting for the food for half an hour just to taste this famous beef brisket noodle and those fried yong tou foo.
But, I only had a piece of yong tau foo ( fried tofu) and a bowl of beef brisket noodle soup.
The rest of the food was too oily for me.

Dinner Menu for 7 :
1. Beef Brisket Noodle with tenderly cooked beef, offal and radish in clear soup ,清汤牛腩面.
2. Fried Yong Tau Foo ( Fried beancurd with stuffed fish fillet) and  fried wanton.酿豆腐和炸云吞
3. Beef Meatballs, Tofu, Stuffed Bitter Gourd (酿苦瓜) 
4. 7 glasses of Barley and Beancurd Stick Water 腐竹薏米水.

We only had these fried food stuff and beef brisket noodle for dinner.

Two Soups in a Meal

A late dinner at 10pm. 
How did I design this menu ?
Why were there 2 soups in a menu ?
The beef brisket soup was an unexpected dish that was given by my sister.


Two-Soup Dinner Menu :

1. Beef Brisket Soup 牛腩汤 - (from Johor) , was too salty ! 
2. Side dish - salted vegetables and spring onion . 
One doesn't need to eat with those salted vegetable as the beef soup was salty !:)

3. A simple and quick Campbell mushroom soup that I cooked. Chinese cabbage and slices of carrot were added.

Beef Brisket Noodle (牛腩面)




My friend LP who came from Johor still ordered a cup of tea although she was in Ipoh old town , famous for its white coffee. 
Of course , I still stick with white coffee for breakfast.
This beef brisket noodle stall currently run by the second generation in the family. 
It has become my favourite beef noodle in my "Eating list" .
The stall is in Sin Lean Lee restaurant , Ipoh old town.

Breakfast Menu :
1. Dried Bee tai bak ( 干捞米太目 ,lou shu fen ).
2. Beef brisket soup (牛肉,牛腩汤)
3. fish balls and stuffed yong tofu .
4. fried yam bean.
5. White Coffee and tea with milk.

(Tea with milk )
