Beccy's Place August Challenge

This card has been rolling around in my brain for quite a while now.  I recently purchased the hen house digital image from Amanda Jayne Designs.  It was the final piece that I needed for this quirky Spring Chickens from Beccy's Place.  The sentiment is from Art Impressions.

I started with the pre-colored chickens from the set and fussy cut them for the scene.  The hen house was also fussy cut and colored with alcohol markers.  I "built" my scene with papers from Carta Bella Farmhouse Living paper pad.

I would like to share my card with the following:

Di's Digi Stamp Challenge - Use a Digital Element

I'm playing along with the current challenge at Di's Digi Stamps.  This week we were asked to include a digital element.  I was a recent challenge winner and found this cutie in the shop Aeroplane Racoon.  I'm loving Di's racoon images!

The digital image was printed onto X-Press It card stock, colored with Copic markers and fussy cut.  It has been adhered with dimension tape to a background paper from Carta Bella The Great Outdoors paper pad.

A birthday sentiment from Sweet 'n Sassy finish the clean and simple design.  I was so happy when I came across the background page.  It works perfectly and made this card super quick!

Beccy's Place August Release Digital Sets

Beccy has been busy again creating adorable critters and floral elements for her new August release.  I really enjoy all of Beccy's sweet critters!  The new Over the Back Fence digital set is no exception.
The set comes with 3 pre-colored and 3 black & white line images.  She has also included 5 adorable coordinating sentiment for your card making or any project.

I had so much fun creating with this set!  My first project that I'm sharing today started by printing the black and white image onto X-Press It card stock and coloring with alcohol markers.  I then fussy cut the image and layered it onto a Woodgrain Fence die from My Favorite Things.  Designer papers are from Carta Bella Farmhouse Living paper pad.  The birthday sentiment from the set was printed and die cut with the Lawn Fawn Speech Bubble border die.

My second project features Beccy's new Daisy Elements set.  I completed this card in about 10 minutes!  I LOVE the convenience of pre-colored images.

This card was completely created with the digital elements in the set.  I used Microsoft Word to copy and layer the images then print. SO easy!  The panel was adhered to green card stock and finished simply with black twine.

This set is HUGE and comes with digital papers, tags, buttons, sentiments, card toppers and individual daisy images.  This is a must-have for all of your summer projects!

You can find the new Over the Back Fence and Daisy Elements sets, along with many others, at Beccy's Place online shop.

Scrappy Boy Stamps - Three Hour Tour

You have to be of a certain age to appreciate the humor of this birthday card.  Scrappy Boy Stamps released a couple of sets last year paying honor to Gilligan's Island.  One of my favorite shows from the 60's.  Of course, I had to purchase them both.

My card uses elements from both Three Hour Tour and Little Buddy.  I'm also joining the Scrappy Boy Sketch Challenge.  I kept the sketch simple and added pattern paper from Carta Bella Beach Boardwalk.

Art Impressions Challenge #353 Midnight Snack

I'm playing along with the current challenge at Art Impressions.  We have been asked to include snacks in our project this week.

My card features the adorable Spring Chicken set.  I love the fun chicken images and sentiments in this set.  Great for so many occasions!

The image was stamped onto X-Press It card stock and colored with alcohol markers.  After die cutting the image I sponged Memento Dandelion yellow ink for the background.  A coordinating sentiment was stamped and die cut with a MFT speech bubble die. The image has been layered onto various designer paper layers from Carta Bella Farm to Table paper pad.

HMFMC #384 Anything Goes Option theme More than ONE Fold

I'm joining the current House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge with the optional theme this week - More than ONE fold.  The inspiration for my fun fold (more than one fold) came from the blog of Shoregirl's Creations.  You can check out her beautiful design HERE

My card features the adorable little mice from the Stampendous Mini Spring set.  This is such a fun set with a variety of mischievous mice!

The image was heat embossed and colored with Tombow markers.  The Spellbinders die cut was mounted onto a small square "hinge" allowing the image panel to unfold and reveal the inside sentiment. Designer papers are from Carta Bella.  Long retired Stampin' Up! Barely Banana and Regal Rose card stock accents the card/cardbase.

Your Next Stamp Fun Friday Challenge: #116 Pets

The current Fun Friday Challenge at YNS is all about pets.  I pulled out one of my favorite YNS sets - Aquarium Antics and created a quick shaker card.

I started by using the coordinating die cut for the shaker window using designer paper from Carta Bella's Beach Boardwalk.  The fish bowl was stamped and colored on a separate sheet of card stock.  I created the shaker with a piece of plastic from my stash which I layered with the sequins and dimension foam.  Then layered it all and easy peasy!

The turtle was stamped into water color paper and colored with Tombow markers.  I added a little orange for him to stand on and for a pop of color!
