Word Art Wednesday - Sponsor Uniko

We are back with a new Anything Goes Challenge at Word Art Wednesday.   The current sponsor is Uniko.  One lucky random winner will receive their choice of one stamp, die, stencil from the Uniko online store.  Be sure to check out all of the fun products!

The Scripture Word Art is free for you.  We would love to see your project using the Scripture, but it's not required.  You can submit up to 5 projects each week -- a total of 10 for the challenge.  The challenge is always Family Friendly Anything Goes.

My tag started with a gelli print and layers were added!  The base was gelli print with acrylic paint and bubble wrap then a second print was pulled using an MFT sunray stencil.  The digital Scripture was printed directly to the tag with paint splatters, doodled border and twine finishing the project.

I would like to share my tag with the following:

Word Art Wednesday Challenge - Proverbs 4:18 Sponsor Taylored Expressions

A new challenge starts today at Word Art Wednesday.  As always, the challenge welcomes any project as long as it is family friendly.

We are so blessed to have Taylored Expressions as our sponsor this week!  One lucky random winner will receive a great prize.  Taylored Expressions is a family owned business providing stamps, dies, paper and much more.  Be sure to check out their online store HERE.

My mixed media tag features the retired Taylored Expressions On the Line Beach Cutting Plate.  I began with a gelli print tag, applied a portion of the die cut in black with the small crab.  This week's Scripture was printed, cut and glued to the tag.  A few paint splatters and black twine finish the tag.

Karen Murray has provided another lovely Scripture for us this week.  You are not required to use it but we would love for you to download the freebie for your use.  Simply select the image, right click and save as.

Creative Worship Stamps Mixed Media Tag

I'm so honored to have been invited to Guest Design with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps for the month of July.  I have been a customer of Sweet 'n Sassy since their beginning.

Korin Sutherland began Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, LLC in 2007 as a small, family-owned, Christian company offering their own brand of clear stamps, dies, stencils and digital products to the paper crafting community. The SNSS products are proudly made in the USA and offer many Scripture based stamp sets.  Be on the lookout for a new company name soon - Creative Worship Stamps!

I started my project with a gelli print tag from my stash.  The Scripture from In the Psalms set was stamped onto tissue paper and applied to the tag with Modge Podge.

A church building image from the Family of God set was stamped and fussy cut with yellow Stickles applied to the windows.  I also lightly stamped the Psalm 23 Background stamp onto the tag before adhering the church building.  Finally, I used Hero Arts emboss paste with the Chicken Wire Stencil from Creative Worship Stamps.

This is the day which the Lord hath made, we will rejoice and be glad in it!!  I hope you were inspired by my mixed media tag.  Please come back again as I share Creative Worship Stamps this month!

Mixed Media Friend Tag

I'm sharing a fun mixed media tag created with my Gelli Plate.  The vintage friends image is very old unmounted rubber from my stash.  I'm sorry but the company is unknown so I can not give credit.

The tag was created with Hero Arts Tag Infinity dies.  A rub-on from my stash and washi tape finish the tag.  The "M" box for the sentiment is a little dark IRL so did not photo well.  :(

Mixed Media Altered Junk Envelopes

I recently came across a how-to video on Pinterest demonstrating altered junk envelopes.  I'm sorry I did not save the video and can not give credit to the artist.

The final photo in my post shows the envelope that was used for the project.  I trimmed the left end of the envelope about 2 inches then clipped diagonally to achieve the fold you see in the photo.

I chose to use various stencils on the front of my envelope and finished with a Mother's Day sentiment.  The back of the envelope (third picture) was covered with a stenciled gelli print on tissue paper.

I recently came across a project tip showing crafty items you can create with clothing pattern tissue.  This worked perfectly for the tag which will be inserted into my junk envelope.  You can see in the first photo how the tag appears through the window.  The second photo shows the tag and all of the fun bits along with a vintage photo of my husband and his family.

This was such a fun project and a great way to recycle!  I hope you get a chance to give it a try.

Simon Wednesday - Tag It

My tag started with a gelli print and layers were added!  The base was gelli print with acrylic inks then a second print was pulled using a bird and limb die cut.  Sentiment and leaf images are from Sweet 'n Sassy.

I finished the tag with a couple of book scraps, organdy ribbon and a button from Stampin' Up!

Beccy's Place November New Digital Release - Holly Days

Beccy's Place has a lovely new Christmas themed digital set this month called Holly Days.  This set comes with 5 black and white line drawings, 5 full color images and 5 word images / sentiments.  I had so much fun creating projects with this set!

Card #1 Peace on Earth started with an enlarged print of a holly sprig.  It was colored with Copic Markers then layered onto designer papers from Basic Grey's Jovial pad. A machine stitched border, gems and the sentiment printed onto a banner finish the card.

Card #2 Holly Days began by creating the base panel with various holly images from the set.  I used Microsoft Word to scatter the pre-colored images.  It was then printed onto designer paper from Basic Grey's Jovial pad.  The Holly Days sentiment was enlarged, printed and layered onto red cardstock.  A few sparkle enamel dots finish the card.

The Mixed Media Tag began with a pre-cut kraft tag.  I applied a layer of deco foil transfer gel duo with a star stencil.  After drying overnight, I splattered white acrylic paint over the entire tag.  The holly and bells image was printed and colored with Copic Markers then layered onto My Favorite Things Crosshatch die. An organza ribbon and vellum sentiment finish the tag.
