My Favorite Things Sketch and Color Challenges

I'm joining the sketch and color challenges at MFT with a mixed media birthday card.  I pulled out an older/retired MFT set from 2013 called LJD Pretty Poppies.

The solid poppy images were stamped in Brick Red distress ink on kraft card stock then a black pen used the trace the outline. The border word stamp was used repeatedly on the panel then spritzed with brown walnut stain.

I would like to share my card with the following:

CPS 231 - My Favorite Things

This week's sketch over on the CPS - Card Sketches blog is
My Favorite Things. When I saw the sketch I knew I would
use "Just My Type". I love the matching die. I am completely smitten with the detail of this fabulous vintage typewriter!

I have combined the MFT image and sentiment with papers from Graphic45 Communique Collection. I love Graphic45 products and I tend to hoard more than use these gorgeous vintage papers!

Fun sketch again this week, Tami! I'm glad I got a chance to play along.

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me #26

Well, it's that time of the week again Sassy Cheryl fans! Time to share what project we've been working on during the week. It's been a busy week at my house but I've managed to make a couple of cards. The card on my workspace is for the weekly My Favorite Things sketch on Splitcoast. They always post such fun (and challenging) sketches.

My other ongoing project is my Spellbinder die storage. You can see how I am currently storing them .... in a box and in their original packaging. Well, every time I want to use a die I have to pull them ALL out of the box and look through them to find the one I want to use. Very annoying! So, I attended an A Muse Studios party a couple of weeks ago. The demonstrator stored her dies in the A Muse clear stamp storage boxes. They're like CD boxes and can hold two die sets. I have one filled on my desk using magnets. I am still experimenting and I may need wider magnets. Anyway, I hope to label each storage case and store them on my shelf for easy reference.

Glad you stopped by! Let me know how you store your Spellbinder dies.
