Heute möchte ich euch meinen Beitrag zur Oktober Herausforderung "Bücher" bei Canvas Corp Brands zeigen.

 To enter this challenge you need to link up your entry  Blog post, or post on Instagram, Facebook or Pinterest (link to the actual project – not the whole page) by using the linkytool below. You have until the end of November 5 to submit your project!  All submissions must have #ccbchallenge somewhere to be considered. Only 1 entry per person allowed. Are you a previous winner? That does NOT exclude you for winning again – please join in!!

We will invite the winner of the challenges to be our Guest Designer in December. This means that they will get a box filled with goodies from all 3 Canvas Corp Brands to play with.

Travelling Art Journal, #7 - DT Project for Canvas Corp Brands

it´s time to share my page for the Travelling Art Journal at Canvas Corp Brands for August with you!

I struggled with my photos - I took tons of pictures, but the colour of the background is always too white. In "real" it is more beige.

heute zeige ich euch meinen August Eintrag im Travelling Art Journal für Canvas Corp Brands!

Bei den Fotos bin ich fast verzweifelt. Ich habe massenhaft Bilder gemacht, der Hintergrund sieht aber auf allen zu weiß aus. In "echt" ist er mehr beige. 

Here some steps on how I made it:

Hier ein paar Schritte wie das Ganze entstanden ist:

 First I glued scraps of old book pages and music notes onto the gessoed page.

zuerst habe ich Papierstücke von einem alten Buch und alte Notenblätter auf die mit Gesso vorbehandelte Seite.

 Now I spreat some Texture sand paste randomly to the surface. Then I cut out the Gypsy Lady from the 7gypsies Gypsy Mixed Media pad.

Dann habe ich Texture Sand Paste hier und da aufgetragen und die hübsche Zigeunerin von dem 7gypsies Gypsy Mixed Media pad ausgeschnitten.

 The beautiful Lady didn´t have legs - so I added a piece of white paper and drew the rest of her by myself =).

Die Hübsche hatte keine Beine - also habe ich ein Stück weißes Papier angeklebt und den restlichen Körper selber gezeichnet =).

 I colored the added body with a water soluble pencil.

Den angestückelten Körper habe ich mit wasserlöslichem Farbstift koloriert.

 Well, the color differed a little bit and I decided to glue some lace onto the cut.

Naja, die Farbe ist ein wenig anders ausgefallen, also habe ich entschieden einfach ein Stück Spitzenborte aufzukleben.

 The lace I dyed with Baseboard Mist "Cardboard".

Die Spitze habe ich mit Baseboard Mist "Cardboard" eingefärbt.

 Now I wanted to tone down the background with some beige acrylic paints and white Gesso.

Nun habe ich den Hintergrund ein wenig mit beiger Acrylfarbe und weißem Gesso abgetönt.

 Now I took some Glimmer Mists, and Simply Sheer Mist and started to paint the background. - Sorry, I didn´t take pictuers meanwhile the process, I was in a flow *lol*.

Mit einigen Glimmer Mists und Simply Sheer Sprühfarben habe ich dann gemalt. - Sorry, ich habe keine Fotos währeddessen, ich war so schön drin *lol*.

 Lastly I glued down the girl and the sentiment, added some shadows, some stencilling, paint splatters and did some stamping with DO walnut stain. With this I also framed the page.

Zuletzt habe ich das Mädchen und den Spruch aufgeklebt, ein paar Schatten und ein paar Farbsprenkel ergänzt, habe mit einer Schablone ein paar Akzente gesetzt und mit DO walnut stain gestempelt. Damit habe ich die Seite auch eingerahmt.

So - here it is! I hope Milo will like it as much as I do.

Travelling Art Journal, #6 - DT Project for Canvas Corp Brands

Hallo, schön, dass ihr bei mir rein schaut!

Heute möchte ich euch meine Juli Seiten des Travelling Art Journal Projekts für Canvas Corp Brands zeigen. Wenn ihr mehr dazu erfahren wollt, könnt ihr euch hier informieren.

This year I´m doing a online course to learn many different ways in painting/drawing faces (btw: I LOVE this classes!). Here I did some practising in challenging angles. I used a photo from the www., which I found that it is perfectly matching to the sentiment from CCB 7gypsies Mixed Media Pad Gypsy Moments.

This is the reference photo I used:

Here are some steps on what I made:

 First I sketched the face with a pencil.

 Then I painted it with several Acrylic paints and white Gesso.

 To tone the face a little bit down I did some glazing with high impact paints and Matte Medium. I seals the painting at the same time =). I used this mix for the right side of the pages too to create the background.

 To make it even more interesting, I used oil paint sticks in blue and white to set some highlights.

This is a very subtile way and I love it.

 To adjust the color of the sentiment I gave the surface some glazing in blue.

 For the right side of the journal I took some Glimmer Mists (dragonfly and black cherry) and Gimmer Glam turquoise and added somer sprinkles.

Next I added some gold leafes from my stash - ready!

Travelling Art Journal, #4 - DT Project for Canvas Corp Brands

Hello lovelies!

This is my third post today - a new double spread in one of the Travelling Art Journals we make for Canvas Corp Brands.

This time I went a little funny =)

This is what I did:

 I took a page of the CCB mix & match pad Spring Showers, cut out some umbrellas and the gorgeous sentiment.

 Next I used the 7gypsies Maritime paper pad and glued the torne paper to the pages.

 For some texture I added some stripes of the 7gypsies global paper tape.

 The umbrellas were colored with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists in several colors (you´ll find them listed in the post from Canvas Corp Brands). Then I painted the funny little girl and colored her with glimmer mists and some inktense pencils. I made some "watersplatters" with hot glue, which I covered with metalic wax in silver. Some shading and doodling here and there and the page was ready.

Travelling Art Journal, #2 - DT Project for Canvas Corp Brands

Hello dear visitors,

today I want to share my second entry in the Travelling Art Journal for Canvas Corp Brands.

As I told you last month, we have an exciting project going on at the CCB Creative Crew. We are sending our Art Journals on a travel :-). You can read more about it in my first post, where you will find a link to the in depth post at the CCB blog too.

This month I had the joy to make my entry in the wonderful Art Journal from my lovely team mate Shel C.

As you can see, I´m in a "Spring-mood" ;-).

I used many high impact paints to make my page and a new Tim Holtz stencil and the lovely bird stamps from Dina Wakley.

I made a little video, so have fun watching me creating!

Travelling Art Journal, #1 - DT project for Canvas Corp Brands

Hello all, 

today I have some exciting  news for you! 

Some girls of the Canvas Corp Brands Creative Crew send Art Journals around the world! Every month we all make an entry into one Journal of our teamies and send it to the next girl. So after 12 months we will hold a unique, wonderful and inspiring art journal in our hands. It´s so very coooool, isn´t it?!

You´ll find more informations about the idea on the CCB blog here.

Well, now you know what´s going on, now to my first entry.

I´ve made a little art journal from watercolor paper, stitched it together and created the first pages.

The pages are ispired by the imagination, that my art journal here from my little village in Bavaria goes on it´s journey around the world!

Here are some steps:

 First I layered papers, canvas stripes and tissue followed by glimmer mists

(you can find all the goodies I used on the CCB blog)

 Next step was to use several stencils with white Gesso...

 ....followed by several Glimmer Glams and Glimmer Glazes. After this I did a lot of doodling with white and black posca pens.

 Now I drew the image on top and painted all. 

 Now I embellished my pages with one of the new Architextures, some shrinked flowers and did some stamping. At last I added a stamped sentiment and sealed everything with fixative.

 Finally here are some close ups:
