My Dear Puppy

Hello everyone how are you all? Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

I am here today with a card I made a while ago.......I need get through the build up that I havnt shown yet lol. I have used one of the super adorable Dreamerland Stamps.......these really are fabulous to colour I love them. When I got my stamps I sat & coloured up a few of them that night & this was one of them.........I love this stamp sooooo much. You can see the love in it.....it makes my heart melt...
Now this paper is a pad that hubster brought me, he was out & he passed Hobbycraft so he called in to have a peeksie to see if he could buy me anything as a surprise..........isn't he adorable...god I love that man.
Anyhoo I'm soooooo darn fussy on paper I really am but I'm a paper addict.....good paper that is lol.
This pad is lush, the colours are gorgeous, its First Edition Wild At Heart. I machine stitched the bottom 2 layers.

I made a bow with some paper straw/raffia kind of stuff.........yeah dont know what this is called but had it in my stash for a few years & have different colours lol. I added a button to the centre & some stringy twine threaded to the button.

The fabulous stamp is called 'My Dear Puppy' & its from Noor Design UK. I stamped them onto Fabriano paper & coloured with distress ink refills & markers.
The love we feel for our pets & the love our pets give us is unconditional, you can see & feel the love here in this stamp dont you think. So I chose a Love kind of sentiment, I've had it in my craft stash since I first started crafting but have no idea what brand it is.....the verse says

The love in your heart wasn't put there to stay, love isn't love 'til its given away!

For the top 2 layers I used Fantasy Rectangle dies to cut them out & layered the image with foam pads onto the next layer.
I wanted to add different textures to this card & I thought it would go with the paper so I added a piece of hessian to one side.....I cut it so it was frayed to add to the look.

Thats it form me I will be back tomorrow with my Noor Design UK DT make, a little clue to what I've made....its shabby chic ;-)

Thanks for stopping by.
Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

Season's Greeting's

Hello everyone how are you all doing? I have a poorly daughter at the minute, think she's picked a sickness bug up. My grand-daughter has also had it & has been poorly this week also. Its this cold weather blowing all the germs around.

Anyway I'm here today with the 2nd card I made from the First Editions Silent Night 8x8 pad.
Now if I get inspiration or an idea from somewhere I always give credit, its the right thing to do & this inspiration came from a very talented lady.....will tell you at the end or you wont come back once you see her creations....you may even know who I mean ;-)
Again I've distressed the edges & machine stitched them. The top layer I popped onto foam pads then attached onto the bottom layer.

The poinsettia is made up with papers from the same pad & made using the Creative Expressions Classic Poinsettia die, I added Marianne Holly die-cuts & some pomegranate apples from Noor Design UK. The bling in the centre is from my stash.

Under the top layer I added Scrapiniec 'Doily Lace Border' set, I inked the edges with Pumice Stone distress ink. In between I added blue gems from my stash.
Senitment is LOTV.

The bauble is made from 2 Scrapiniec sets,  the top layer from Scrapiniec Tinsel Christmas set which I sprayed with white paint. The bottom layer is from the Scrapiniec Baubles Full set which I left plain & just inked the edges with Pumice Stone. Then added 2 blue gems from my stash & tied some cord through the eyelet into a bow.

Inside is decorated to compliment the front as always. Amongst the poinsettia I also added pearl string & a seam binding bow both you can get from Noor Design UK.

Ok I will tell you the lady that gave me inspiration for this, although I will say its no where near as beautiful as what she does........maybe one day though lol. Click here to go to her blog.
It was nice to try something different I've been trying a few different things lately, including something I designed & thought of.....stay tuned lol.

Thanks for stopping by
Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

Merry Christmas

Hello everyone how are you all? Is it just me or has it turned incredibly cold since we've approached November..........OMGoodness winter is coming for sure!!

Ok so I'm here to show you a card that's a little different to my normal type but I do like to change it up at times lol..... I made 2 cards one night using this pad, here is the first one.
The pad I've used is First Edition 'Silent Night' 8x8 pad, I've distressed all the edges & machine stitched as well.

Santa & his reindeers are Scrapiniec Chipboard from Noor Design UK & I covered them with lashings of glitter. I added clear gems here & there.

I decorated inside to compliment the front. The trees are a LLLC die & I cut it out twice for the inside.

This shows you the layers & depth of the trees. I cut the trees out 3 times in white card & twice in Maja Design 'I Wish For Peace & Joy' & gave it all lashings & lashings of glitter.........its very sparkly. The glitter also tones down the green of the Maja paper so it blends in better.

At the bottom I added a banner with the scrap paper left over from the bottom sheet & added Scrapiniec 'Merry Christmas' which I sprayed with white spray paint.
The lamp-post is a LLLC die & the gold is from Marianne Design Gold Glitter paper.

I will show you the 2nd card I made from this pad another day.
Have you noticed anything...........yep no lace & no flowers!!! Ok I need lie down now ;-)

Thank you for stopping by

Blue and White at La La Land Crafts

Hello everyone I'm here today with my DT card for La La Land Crafts & this week us ladies were set the theme of Blue & White.
I decided use another one of the fabulous new release Christmas images as I lurve Blue & White crimbo cards....
So here is Marci.........
Now there is something different about this card on the first & last photo.....see if you can spot it ;-)
I have used my favourite dies, the 3 christmas trees & North Pole.........just lurve these!!

The sentiment Marci is standing next to are Life Cards from Authentique, they are fab. Of course I machine stitched around mine & thought it would be perfect use as a focal point with Marci.

The papers I've used are First Edition 'Silent Night' 8x8, I saw them last week & ordered them from Amazon on Prime so were here the next day. As I wasn't crafting properly last christmas I didnt get them.......I didnt get anything. It WILL NOT be the case this year lol.
The silver chrsitmas tree Marci is standing next to I fussy cut around one side of the paper so the tree stood out a bit more & wasn't hidden by Marci.

So did you see the difference?? Well I couldnt decide if the Bark Star in the first photo looked right on the card, so I didnt glue it in & took pics with & without....what do ya think??

Rubber Stamp used........

LLLC Dies used.....

Distress Markers & Refills......
Skin - Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose
Cheeks & Lips - Spun Sugar, Fired Brick
Hair - Hickory Smoke, Black Soot
Coat & Hat - Weathered Wood, Black Soot, Pumice Stone
Shoes - Hickory Smoke

That's it from me, I'm off looking for new bedding & wallpaper today for my bedroom, it got done last summer or just after & I let hubby pick the colour........to say I hate it is an understatement lol. He chose blue.....I hate blue in the home, yet its one of my faves in crafting....strange isn't it lol.

Anyhoo's lovelies enjoy your day &; hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Take care & big hugs to all
Vicky xxx

Deep Ocean Challenges DT Card - 100TH Challenge

Hello everyone how are you all? I'm running late I'm afraid as we've had no internet for 2 days & only just got it back on...........luckily I have been busy so havn't noticed it too much tbh although I am behind in a few things because of it :-(
Ok so we have a brand new challenge over at Deep Ocean Challenges this fortnight & what's more its our 100th Challenge wooooooo hoooooooo........so pop on over as there are fabulous prizes up this fortnight ;-)
Ok so the theme is a super duper easy one..................
EASTER/SPRING
...............told ya, easy peasy ;-) Now mine is actually Easter, well its for an Easter Present but I then want it to sit looking pretty all year round so didnt want it looking Easter-y, yes I'm sure it's a word ;-) Ok lots of pics peeps........
I've gone shabby chic with this as its for my beautiful daughter Natalie...........after Easter it will sit in her bedroom..............well once her room is finished with the building work etc lol....... The image I coloured last week but had no idea what else I was gonna do tbh..........except that it would be for Natalie lol.

Its actually a gift box to house 4 new Walt Disney dvd's, (her fave). As Natalie has never had eggs as she cant eat them...........I know poor girl but she cant eat anything at all :-( This is in place of choccy easter eggs...........she also gets another present but I will show you the packaging for that another time ;-)
The lace around the outisde is from my stash.

The butterfly here is made with a Spellbinders die that I've had for sooooooo long but neglect.......must stop that as this really is gorgeous IRL, love the embossed effect. The centre is a Tim Holtz Pen Nib.........

Both the laces on top, the flowers, the clay heart, the angel & the gorgeous blingy buttons on the lace are all from Live & Love Crafts. The Tulle is the glitter one is OMG so darn pretty IRL. I also added dashings of Gesso everywhere, also from LLC.

The stamp is Magnolia's 'Divine Tilda' which I coloured entirely with distress re-inkers............this is a first for me, sadly my brushes have got a bit naffy so hubster got me some new ones from Amazon at the weekend...... They have just been launched in the UK so got a massive saving. Used them last night for the first time on a couple of different images & they are fabulous..........love love LOVE THEM!!

As you can see inside is decorated as well. After Easter the box is going to be used to store Natalie's Hair Clips............she has LOTS of hair products, bobbles, scrunchie's, hair clips & I'm running out of room so this box will be bigger for her clips. Just need get the other storage boxes sorted lol.

Ok so the utterly gorgeous paper is a new one which I brought for another project which I cannot tell you about yet ;-) I got it in 12x12 & 8x8, however I just used some of the 8x8 for this as luckily the box is 8inches wide. Ok so the paper is First Edition 'The Promise', it really is soooooooo pretty & the colours are so soft. The doilies at either end are La La Land Crafts dies.......of course I need hearts as its for my darling daughter. The other butterfly, swirl & the leaves are Magnolia dies & the butterfly edge is a Tim Holtz die.........one of my faves but neglected I'm ashamed to say.

Ok I now have a screaming daughter so I had better go now & quickly press publish.

Thanks soooooooo much for stopping bby it means the world.
Lotsa hugs form me to you mmwah
xxxxxxxxxx

Edited to add if madam Natalie takes too long to settle tonight then I will catch up with emails & messages etc tomorrow. I havnt even checked my emails yet or been on Facebook & it probably wont be tonight now as its 11pm nearly & I need try pursuade my daughter that she should go to sleep........... Mmm good luck Vicky lol.........good job she is so darn gorgeous ;-)
