Sip Sip Hooray! Magical Color Changing cocktail card

Hi everyone! I have another delicious card to share today using the new collection by Spellbinders called Happy Hour and I love it all! Happy Hour features 5 die sets, 1 3D embossing folder, 1 sentiment BetterPress plate, and 1 BetterPress background plate with coordinating layering stencils and last but not least a new rectangles and label die set. 💖
If you missed my last card, you can check out the post HERE.

SUNSET IN A GLASS AND TROPICAL FLARE DIE SETS

My cards use the Sunset in a Glass and Tropical Flair die sets. I just love the shape of this glass, it's large enough to decorate in many ways. The set comes with dies to create a gorgeous sunset scene you have to check it out!
I wanted to come up with a fun fruity drink and my google search showed drinks called Magical Color Changing Cocktails. They are SO colorful and beautiful I had to recreate one 😍
The background is embossed with the now retired Orange Peeled Quilt 3D Embossing folder and I inked the edges with a little of the Peacock Feathers. The sentiment is from the Cheers Sentiment BetterPress plate from the collection and I foiled it with Matte Silver onto glossy black cardstock. The set has sentiments perfect for birthdays, meeting for drinks, Christmas and Halloween.

Spellbinders Playful Penguins Christmas card

Hi everyone! I have a fun Christmas critter card using the adorable Playful Penguins die set from Simon Hurley's latest collection from Spellbinders.
PLAYFUL PENGUINS AND LAYERING SNOWFLAKES DIE SET

The Playful Penguins die set features 3 penguins and a few accessories including hats, sweater and mittens, a wreath and gift. So cute! I used the Flurry of Snowflakes 3D embossing folder inked with some light blue in as the background. I have my 2 penguins on top of the largest snowflake from the Layering Snowflakes die set which is also from the collection.
I love the tiny pops of red I put in the bow and hat.
The fluff on their hats is from liquid applique! It's my favorite way to add a little wow factor!

Spellbinders Home for the Holidays collection: Candy Cane card designs

Hi everyone! It's Christmas in July over at Spellbinders in a BIG way! Today I'm sharing 2 cards from the new Home for the Holidays collection and this collection is HUGE.
It features:
6 BetterPress plate sets (2 are backgrounds)
1 background cover plate (super dainty and beautiful)
3 gorgeous die sets
1 new label shape (Emerald cut)
3 sentiment sets (2 BetterPress and 1 die set)
1 3D embossing folder (Argyle Plaid)
Whew!! It's worth your time to check it out in it's entirety.
CANDY CANES AND HOLLY, POINSETTIA SPRAY AND CHRISTMAS BLOOMS DIE SETS

Both my cards use the die set called Candy Canes and Holly die set and are accented with Christmas poinsettias and greenery from the new Poinsettia Spray die set and the oldie but goodie die set, Christmas Blooms. The sentiments are from Comfort and Joy Sentiment glimmer foiled with red foil.
The background for this card is the new Argyle Plaid 3D embossing folder. I love this folder! I can see using it year round, not just for Christmas. I lightly inked it with a minty ink. My candy canes are the traditional red and white and I added a bit of Stickles for a pop of glitter. I used the new Poinsettia Spray die set for my accent flowers and the holly greenery is from the Candy Canes and Holly die set and added some emerald Essential Gems for the final bits of bling.
The background for this card is from the Peppermint 6x8 paper pad. My favorite kind of candy canes are the spearmint ones and I just had to make a card with a nod to my favs. I used Christmas Blooms die set for my accent flowers and greenery and added some red Essential Gems for some bling.
I love ho both of these turned out. Stay tuned for a few more cards using this collection!

Spellbinders: Sealed 3D Botanical collection

Hi everyone! Spellbinders has released a new collection called Sealed 3D Botanical Collection and it is full of really cool dies, wax seal stamps and 3D embossing folders. It features three brand new Label shapes, two 3D Emboss and Cut folders and two 3D wax seal stamps - the first of their kind!!! The details on these wax seal stamps are stunning!

My card uses one of the new 3D emboss and cut folders called Mushrooms From Me to You and coordinating new Labels shape called Scallop Labels and Tag die set.
MUSHROOMS FROM ME TO YOU 3D EMBOSS AND CUT FOLDER

If you haven't seen how the new Emboss and Cut folders work, here is a photo to give you a visual. You place your cardstock in the folder, the die nests in the groove with the cut side facing your cardstock. Close the folder and run it through your machine with the normal 3D folder sandwich.
It doesn't cut the folder, only the cardstock and you end up with 3 gorgeous 3D embossed and cut pieces. 😍
I colored the embossed image with copic markers and then gave it a layer of shine with my Glitter Brush Markers. I added some layers with some die cut panels and added some strips of patterned and glitter paper. A few gold pearl accents was all those pretty little flowers needed to give them some extra sparkle.

Mother's Day shaker card

Hi everyone! I'm back today sharing another card from the Spellbinders Mirrored Arch Collection. This shaker card uses the 3D emboss and cut folder and the BetterPress sentiment set in the collection.
I've mentioned before, but I'm addicted to collecting shaker card bits and it's my goal for 2024 to make tons of shaker cards!
LUXE BACKDROP AND BORDER & MOTHER'S & FATHER'S DAY SENTIMENTS

This shaker card uses the Luxe Backdrop & Border 3D emboss and cut and the Mother's Day & Father's Day Sentiments press plate. This 3D folder can be used as a full panel, or you can use the other half which has a beautiful border and metal die to cut it out.
I love the elegant pattern on the folder. I lightly inked the panel with 2 colors of Distress Oxide inks. If you chose colors that blend nicely together you end up with a third blended color! My light pink and light blue made a lovely light purple.
I added a few accent flowers from the Mini Blooms and Sprigs die set to the upper corner to off set the Mother's Day Sentiment. I created the shaker well with the Mirrored Arch Labels die set and filled it with some shaker bits and sequins that complimented the colors from my ink blending.
I just love how sweet this card turned out.

Spellbinders | December 2023 Small Die and 3D Embossing Folder of the Month

Hi everyone! It's December 6th and that means the enrollment for all of the Spellbinders clubs is open for new subscribers!
And in case you haven't heard, there is a brand new club, the Stencil of the Month Club! The cost for the Stencil club is $14 a month.

Today I am sharing 2 cards and first up is a card that uses the Small Die of the Month, called Sneaking a Kiss
I paper pieced their clothes with some patterned paper. The periwinkle blue with white set the stage for my color choices of lavender and navy blue. The background is a foiled piece that I had in my stash. I've mentioned before, but I always foil in batches and keep a large stash of backgrounds and sentiments on hand to work with.
----------
Next is a card that uses the 3D Embossing Folder of the Month called Two Hearts as One. This folder is designed with 2 designs! It's pretty cool, I've not seen an embossing folder designed like this before.
I chose to emboss white cardstock and lightly ink blend the raised floral elements with a variety of Distress Oxide inks using ink blending brushes. I then added some Stickles to a few of the flower centers for that extra pop of sparkle!
----------
Supplies used on these cards
January 2023 Large Die of the Month (for flower accents)
Skinny Stripe Background Glimmer (sold out)
Silver Foil roll
Yana's Special Sentiments Glimmer

Merry Mugs Delivering Warm Christmas Hugs

Hi everyone! I'm back today with a fun Christmas mug card. I used a new die set from the new Merry Mug Creations by Spellbinders, designed by Nicol Spohr. I am in love with all the components in this die set.
It is part of Nichol's Merry Mugs and Circle Delights Collection which is a set of 4 die sets and 1 sentiment stamp set and they are designed to mix and match with each other. I also have the Whimsical Winter Critters die set, so stay tuned for some inspiration using it.
I used a piece of the my favorite Christmas patterned paper pack, Merry by Scrapbook.com as the mug design and let it guide me with color choices of the card. For the background I embossed white cardstock with the Scenic Poinsettias 3D Embossing Folder and lightly inked it with Minted ink to make the features POP!
To give the marshmallow and foam some dimension I used an N1 Copic marker along the die cut line and then went over it with Stardust Stickles. I build up and around the mug with a combination of blooms and greenery from Christmas Blooms die set and the goodies that come with the Merry Mug Creations. I just love how this turned out. Everything worked perfectly together!

Altenew Calming Cluster - Using stencils to color the 3D embossing folder

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing this simple yet beautiful card using Altenew's Calming Cluster 3D embossing folder colored with the coordinating stencil set.
I love how soft and beautiful this turned out. The Calming Cluster 3 and 1 Stencil set actually coordinates with the Calming Cluster stamp set and is a tad larger than the embossing folder. But with a few adjustments I was able to use the stencils and the flower masks to ink the florals perfectly.
It's hard to see in the photo, but I added some gold touches to the flowers with some gold metallic watercolor paints.

To see how I colored this, check out my Instagram Reel!

Supplies used on my card:
I used Kuretake Starry color pans, but Altenew's 14 Pan set of Metallic Watercolors has a beautiful gold as well

Before I go, I wanted to share that it's Creative Kindness Week over at Scrapbook.com and there are great deals on Card Making items and even a few FREEBIES available while supplies last!
Be sure to check it out!

Christmas in July -Copic colored poinsettia

Hi everyone! Once again, I'm continuing with Christmas in July projects using Yana's De-Light-Ful Christmas collection by Spellbinders. This card uses several including the 3D embossing folder and gorgeous poinsettia die. Here's how it turned out.
This card uses the gorgeous Poinsettia Bloom die set and a sentiment from the A Merry Little Christmas Sentiments Glimmer. I die cut the outline of the Poinsettia with Gold Mirror Cardstock and the petals are die cut from white cardstock and colored with copic markers. I used tape to get the petals pieced inside the outline and to give it some stability, I adhered a large circle die cut to the back.
The background is embossed with the Holly & Foliage 3D embossing folder. It is GORGEOUS. It could be colored or inked and used on it's own, or like I have it as the background which gives a subtle Christmas background.

 Supplies used on this card:
Holly & Foliage 3D embossing folder
 Gold Foil
Gold Mirror Cardstock
 Red Mix Essential Gems
6x6 Christmas paper from stash
Copic markers in R24, R27, R29, R39

Thank you card with Mandala Blooms 3D folder and a wax seal

Hi Everyone! I have a fun card to share using the fabulous new 3D embossing folder called Mandala Blooms. It is stunning! I colored a few of the embossed parts with light copic markers for small pops of color.

I used one of my wax seals that I made the other week using some small dried flowers. These are so cool. Not gonna lie, it took a few tries and I practiced with some small weeds from my yard. But wow they really pop! I put down white wax, then the small dried flower and used the 1" Solid Circle wax seal stamp.
The bouquet I made uses stems from the Sealed Squiggles, Blooms and Leaf Sprigs die sets.

Supplies used on this card:
Stampendous Fran's Frames die set (the nesting hexagons)
Wax Beads in White
Spellbinders cardstock in Waterfall, Teal Topaz, Terracotta, Beeswax, White and Onyx.
copic markers

Spellbinders | Sealed for Summer collection

Hi everyone! Spellbinders has released another wax seal collection called Sealed for Summer. I'm really starting to love making wax seals and this collection has new wax seal stamps (including a blank square), new colors of wax beads (hello purples!!) and a Blooming Stems die set perfect for all your wax seal cards. AND it has 2 GORGEOUS 3D embossing folders and glimmer plates.
Check out what I made.
I haven't had a chance to use any of the new wax seal stamps (stay tuned for that), but today's card uses one of the new 3D folders called Floral & Vine and the Glimmer Bouquet hot foil plate. I used black foil for this and colored it with Copic markers. Isn't it stunning?

Notice the oval die shape? That is from the new Essential Modern Ovals die set which is a fun elongated oval shape.

Supplies used on this card:
Floral & Vine 3D embossing folder
Glimmer Bouquet hot foil plate
Spellbinders hot foil rolls in Black and Matte Silver
Glossy black cardstock and twine from stash
Copic markers

HI stitching card with Be Bold Blooms

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing another stitching card using the Be Bold Blooms flower die cuts I had left over from my sister's birthday card. I used a slightly bluer tone for my background and embossed it with the Leafy 3D embossing folder. I combined the Stitched Hi and the new Punctuation and Symbols stitching die sets. I just love how it turned out!

This time I stitched with a dark purple floss to compliment the dark purple die cuts and added a foiled sentiment from my stash. I've been asked where I get my floss and when I first started, I was torn between getting the highest quality floss by DMC (which has a higher price) or a mid grade floss off Amazon. I went with the Amazon floss, the bundle I purchased had 200 colors, so it was hard to pass up! I'm really happy with them, they isn't as smooth as DMC, so separating the strands isn't as nice and they do get twisted a bit when stitching, but nothing I can't live with. I'll link everything I purchased below.

If you're new to stitching, be sure check out my Instagram page. I posted a 1 minute reel that shows all the steps. When I first tried stitching, I scoured YouTube to get an idea on how and where to start. So I made this short reel to show how I do it for anyone curious about stitching.
