Tonight in L.A. (October 14, 2012) - A Low Budget Dose

Its Sunday.  I'm feeling lazy watching these great football games - so I won't get too much into who to go see other than recommending three shows for tonight in LA:

First has to be the deliciously talented Robert Raimon Roy supporting the hilariously entertaining Das Racist at The Roxy.  Its an Iheartcomix event - so you know it will be popping and that all the other support will deliver something worth remembering.  Combining their choice talent selection with the sounds and intimacy of The Roxy should yield a rock solid night of neo hip-hop mayhem.  Don't miss it.  Get your tickets here....

I'm going to chop it up in the crowd at The Gossip - and if you need something uplifting and energetic, I strongly recommend you join me at Fonda Theatre tonight for Beth Ditto and friends' show.  Over in the same neighborhood - the XX play to a sold out crowd at Hollywood Palladium, Zedd and Porter Robinson drop heavy beats at Avalon and Wick-It The Instigator does the same at King King Club.

There's a handful of music options this Tuesday - whether its Half Moon Run and Metric at The Greek Theatre or The Boners at Redwood Bar - something's gonna get you up.





Other musical events should elevate you too.  The fortunate ticket holders for Grimes at El Rey Theatre get to indulge in a sold out show and our fortunate contest winners will get the privilege of attending DIIV at The Echoplex, Michael Kiwanuka at John Anson Ford Amphitheatre or Yelawolf with Rittz at House of Blues - Sunset Strip.  All three of those shows will be satisfying depending on your sonic palate.  Personally - I like the grit of Yelawolf and Rittz.
