Good Night Santa

As I promised, here is my last Christmas post this year and I need to do this a little quick, because I need to finish making tomorrow's dessert today.

Ok....I made one of the older files this time, namely Santa's Arm Chair Box from the JGW Santas Repose kit:

I simply couldn't shake the vision of Santa coming home after a busy night delivering presents and being exhausted, just wanting some quiet time in his chair in front of the fireplace.

The chair is made from AC Cardstock in Pomegranate, Cranberry and Vanilla along with several pieces of patterned paper from "St. Nicholas" by Graphic45 and two shades of green Pearl paper.

I used two ball chains to hang the Santa sign onto the chair.

I wanted to make a footstool too but ran out of time - but I imagined making one with the Candle 3D Stand 3 Inch Pillar just downsized and maybe altered a bit - oh well some other time.

Santa's hat is from the Santa Clause 3D Canister in the JGW Winter Friends Canister kit and the stocking I snatched from the Stocking Trio A6 Card that I found in the Silhouette Design Store design ID #88698. I just added some Stickles Burgundy glitter glue to the top and bottom for a little extra detail.

They are made from AC Cardstock in Vanilla and various patterned papers from the "St. Nicholas" Collection.

There….I kept it short for once ha ha. Now it's dessert making time and then onto wrapping the last gifts - then I'm all set for celebrating Christmas tomorrow night (we do the whole eating and gift giving on the eve of the 24th. here in Denmark)

Happy Holidays to all of you - whatever you're celebrating and I hope you'll have wonderful couple of days of rest, relaxation and maybe…..just maybe….a little time to sneak of and craft a little.

Santas Boots

Hello and happy 1st. Sunday of Advent :-)

Gosh! I've been waiting for this month all year - I just love Christmas and all the fantastic paper projects you can make this time of year.

For starters I want to show you this pair of boots I made from the JGW Santas Repose kit.

The boots are made from AC Cardstock in Charcoal, Black and White and the pine sprigs are also made in AC Cardstock in Forest and Spinach.

I decorated two of the sprigs with some green/gold shimmery paper and the panels for the shoelaces are DCWV Silver Mercury Glass Cardstock.

I also added a small bell on each boot along with some snowflakes from my stash.

These boots are awesome as they are but I chose to use them as decoration with some candy canes.

Thanks for joining me today - I'll be back later with some more Christmas projekts

Colorful Christmas

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving :-) I hope everything went according to plan and all are happy and full.

Today I want to show a small project I've been meaning to make for quite some time now. I admit I was a bit intimidated by it, but lately some of my projects have been rather challenging so I looked at it again and thought: Naaahhhh you can do it!

I'm talking about the cute Candy Cane Box from the JGW Santas Repose kit

It's made from Rouge AC Cardstock and the stripes are some thin washi tape I found in my stash. Made it very easy to wrap.

The pinecone is made from Chestnut AC Cardstock and decorated with two types of glitter so it looked frosted.

Finally the holly is made from Pine and Spinach AC Cardstock and decorated with Cricket POW Glitter paper from AC.

I am really surprised how easy everything was to make and assemble - what was I fearing???? Sometimes you just have to tell that head of yours to be quiet and dive in!

I stuffed this baby full of red, green and purple Skittles and it's all ready as gift for a lucky someone.

Thanks for stopping by today - ahead is a full month of Christmas with lots of creative projects, yummy treats and lots of cozy moments with friends and family.....Oooooooh I'm so excited!

A Mother's Repose with Lisa

Welcome everyone! Lisa, from The Crafting Cave, with you today and I decided to step out of holiday mode completely with this post. Today I'm sharing a great way for anyone to present a
gift card at a baby shower.

Using JGW Santa's Repose 3D Chair  I created a baby themed chair for an expecting/ new mom.
If you don't have this chair in your arsenal of cut files I highly recommend it. There are some many things you can use it for. Here's a link to show my Halloween version.
A Mother's Repose using SVG Attic JGW Santa's Repose 3D Chair
This chair is not difficult to put together, just take your time, follow the directions provided and
you will be done in no time.

I used Baby Mine by Carta Bella Collection Kit. I will be making a boy version of this for a friends baby shower. You can find more details on my blog, The Crafting Cave.

As always, thank you for visiting and have an amazing week.

I used 2 files for this idea. The main tool box is from JGW Tools Rule and the "Santa" is from JGW Santas Repose from the chair. I just duplicated the S.

It all fits nicely inside.

Also used the following.

Visiting Santa

Hello SVG Attic members! Guest Designer Sonja here. Today, I bring you a project using multiple SVG Attic files.

When I started brainstorming for ideas on what I wanted to do, I knew I wanted to use the Santa chair.

After I made the Santa chair, I took a look at my collection of SVG Attic files and I knew I had to do the train.

But wait, you cannot have the Polar Express without a working light!

While making the train, it just came to me. Why not do a scene of what Santa's chair looks like when my children visit him!

So what are the things you would see while visiting Santa?

His boots of course!

And what is Christmas without a tree and gifts below?!

Santa has to check this twice so it is very important that we know where his list is!

Now put it all together and what do you get?

A happy Santa!

Thank you for taking the time to look at my project! I hope you have a very nice Christmas season and enjoy your time with your families!

Hello and Happy Monday! Hope you all are doing well! Tanya from Crafting on Caffeine here today, I needed a break from Halloween so I decided to do something for my table at Thanksgiving. Hope you enjoy!

I used the following SVG Attic collections to put this together. The Cornucopia is from SDS Pilgrims Prayer. The pumpkins are from Fall Harvest Favor Boxes SVG Kit. The apples are from JGW Fall Ensemble. And the Pinecones are from JGW Santas Repose.

I used my eBrush to give the edges of everything just the right touch.

I also used the following to put finishing touches on everything.

Hope you got some inspiration to create your own!

BOO-Tastic Chair with Lisa

Welcome ,welcome! Lisa, from In the Crafting Cave with Lisa, with you today!
I have another fun Halloween project I'm sharing with you.
I used Santa's Chair from the JGW Santa's Repose Collection at SVG Attic to create this BOO-TASTIC Chair.

SVG Attic JGW Santa's Repose Santa Chair
I resized the chair a bit to make it larger. It measures 10.5" inches tall at the highest point, the back, and 10.5" inches at the widest point, the arms. Of course, you don't have to make it that big but I knew I wanted it to be seen. I used Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells and Craft Smith Neutrals 12x12 Paper Pads to create the chair.

You can find full details on my blog including more ways to decorate
for Halloween using the same chair.
Thank you for visiting today! Be sure to join us this weekend for
a blog hop full of SPOOK-tacular  projects and fun!

Jolly Old Saint Nicholas, Lean Your Ear This Way ~ with Cyndy G

Can you believe it is time to start thinking about Christmas.  I remember as a child going to the mall and seeing Santa's Chair with the sign saying when he would arrive.  Still to this day I get a little excited when I see his chair sitting awaiting his arrival.  So you can imagine my delight when I saw the new kit JGW Santas Repose!  I choose to do Santa's Chair.

3d svg Santa's Chair

I love this over-sized chair.  From the extra cushion on the back to the rolled arms.

Close up of Santa's Chair

Isn't this paper cute!  It is Maja Design - Vintage Winter, it is made in Sweden but there are a couple of scrapbook supply stores on-line that sell it here in America.  It has a very nice weight and works well with these projects.

In Jodi's design of this chair she has this Santa tag on the front but
I didn't want to cover up my cute paper so I put mine on the back.

Back of Santa Chair

I just love this tag.  The detail is wonderful!

And the best part of the chair is that the bottom comes off and you can fit a gift card in it.

I hope you have enjoyed my project today.

Do what inspires you,
