Elisabeth Bell's Little Wishes

Today I have a Valentine's themed card to share featuring Elisabeth Bell's Little Wishes

When I began coloring the image I had different papers to use it with but wasn't quite happy at how the colors matched up. Then while looking through a stash box I found this grab bag of papers I had gotten from Nikki Sivvil and they all matched up so well! What better treat to give your sweetheart than a yummy cupcake?

Hope you have enjoyed your stop, have a great day!

Love A la Man Color

My husband complained to me that all the Valentine cards he sees always have red or pink colors somewhere on the card. That got me to thinking about creating a "Man card" for Valentines Day. I still wanted to use a stamp that was romantic, nostalgic and still have a feminine feel.

I immediately thought of Plate #19 and created a "Man Card" using only brown tones:

I love this collage type stamp from Plate #19. The possibilities for creativity is endless. The sentiment is also from Plate #19. The fibers behind the heart are from Germany and I thought they would add a nice touch.

This stamp set may be an oldie, but it's definitely a goody! So this Valentine's create a "man card" and challenge yourself to not use pinks or reds and that my friends was a lot harder for me than I thought. I really wanted to use red backing for that pop of red, lol.

Thanks so much for stopping and have you seen all the new releases? Are you guys as blown away by these as I am? If you haven't, you are missing out! So be sure to head over to Sweet Pea Stamps!!!

Happy Valentines Day!!

Here's a wonderful stamp from artist Caron Vinson called Blushing Rose Fairy (Plate #89). I thought this beautiful woman would make a wonderful Valentine. You can see the artist's depiction and then see the coloring that I have done to her to make her into a Valentine.

I used some wonderful printed glittery cardstock from K&Company and spiced it up with some chalk on the edges. I added some adorable polka dot Prima flowers with some dark red bling and used one of the great vertical sayings from Plate #13 called Holiday Verticals. That stamp plate is only $12 and gives you 10 different full size vertical sayings! What a bargain. I trimmed mine out on thick white cardstock and used a border punch from EK Success to add some pizazz.

Hope you all have a Happy Valentine's Day!

Red Hearts in Chocolate

I love working on Valentines! I wanted a rich, dark brown to coordinate with the neat metallic paper. I have had this paper for ages and am so happy with how it worked with this image. I also love how this image lends itself to making it larger. I just drew the lines of the skirt down to the edge of my paper! It gave the image a whole new look!
