I named myself The Crafting Professor, since I'm a crafter, and I'm a college professor. I went through many, many years of graduate school, and the best source of relaxation and stress relief was being in my craft room or going to a local crop. Back then, I never told anyone that I was a full-time graduate student. I was waiting for the day I would scrapbook my graduation page. Now, I run the ScrapbookerPhD challenge blog (http://scrapbookerphd.blogspot.com), and am bringing my passion for crafting and teaching together. Easter Cutie




It's time for another challenge this week at Through the Purple Haze. The challenge this week is to go steampunk! You don't want to miss out on our sponsors:






For my project, I'm using Lacy Sunshine's image Zoe's Love. Isn't she such a cutie! I had a great time with her. Usually, I start with coloring my images, but this time, I picked the paper first. We had a few days where it actually felt like spring, and this bright pink and green designer paper JUMPED out at me. I love how the touch of black enhances the colors. If you looks at the close up, hopefully you can see all the glitter and embossing on the designer paper.



Of course, the colors of the paper inspired my coloring of Zoe. To contrast the paper, I colored her softly with my lightest shades of pink and green Spectrum Noirs. The Happy Easter sentiment comes from the CardsTV set Going in Circles. Finally, the jeweled flowers are from my stash.
