A teen who refused a Charlotte-Mecklenburg officer’s commands to drop a gun was shot by the officer Saturday night, according to Police Chief Rodney Monroe.

The teen, 14 or 15 years old, was hit in one leg and his wrists from the three or four shots fired by the police officer, according to Monroe at a news conference.

I wonder if the cop in this case was deliberately shooting to wound for reasons of political correctness, to prevent another Ferguson situation? Not that he couldn't simply be a lousy shot, he well could.

MOUNTAIN CITY, TN (WBIR) - A Tennessee police officer has been fired after displaying heavy force in an attempt to rid a Dollar General Store of a squirrel. The incident occurred last Thursday in Mountain City, when according to police documents, now-former Officer Jody Putnam found himself at the right place at the right time. Or the wrong place at the wrong time. Documents state that Putnam happened to be inside the Dollar General Store at the same time employees noticed a squirrel. That's when Putnam sprang into action, discharging his firearm at the squirrel inside the store. Unsuccessful, he moved on to option 2: pepper spray.

It weren't pretty, friends and neighbors.

In the raw video below, a sheriff’s deputy successfully wrestles a seven-foot alligator on the campus of a Florida middle school as students were leaving for the day.

Lake County Sheriff’s Deputy Jessica McGregor was the gator grappler, reports Central Florida News 13. The incident occurred on Tuesday at Clermont Middle School in Clermont, Florida — not too far from Orlando.

With so many students around, McGregor didn’t want to wait for an alligator trapper to arrive.

“Got him to work around a little bit, wore him out, get him tired, so he wasn’t so much to handle,” McGregor told News 13. “And then once he was good and tired, I walked up behind him and dropped down on his back, pushed his head down, so I could get his mouth taped up. So he couldn’t bite.”

CMPD has confirmed that the suspect fatally shot by CMPD Officer Swenson, has be identified as Clay McCall age 26. McCall had a history of mental illness and violence.
