MFTeasers: Day Five!

Hi there!  It's day five of teasers from My Favorite Things and today is àla mode day!  We are previewing one new àla mode today:  You're My Cup Of Tea!  She's adorable!

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each designer.

I don't know what's up with me lately, but I want to distress everything!  I'm just going with it :)  I colored the àla mode image with Copics and paper pieced the mug.  The small heart on the tea bag is from the new Lovey Dovey Sentiments we previewed two days ago.  The Die-namics I used are the new Winter Rose, Circle STAX and Sentiment Strips.  The sketch is Jen del Muro's Sketch For You To Try.  Had to do it as she announced it's the last one she's doing :(  It's a great one.  I added a little hemp cord behind the Winter Rose. The patterned papers are Teresa Collins Now and Then 6x6.

Here are the details about the upcoming release:

  • You can attend the New Release Party on December 11 from 8-10 PM EST HERE in the MFT forum, where you can WIN PRIZES!
  • The MFT release, including all new stamp sets and Die-namics, is on December 11 at 10 PM EST.  You'll find all the newest products HERE at release time.

It's Party Time!

Good Saturday morning to you all!  My Favorite Things is the sponsor for this month's Sketch For You To Try!  Jen's sketches are one of my "go to sketches" when I'm looking for some inspiration so I was excited to make a sample with this month's sketch!

Here's the sketch:

Here's my card using the new Pure Innocence image, Birthday Girl along with the Fishtail Flags STAX and Circle STAX set 1 and Circle STAX set 2.  Her dress and balloon were paper pieced and I used some pink twine for the balloon string.  The papers are Spring Fling by Teresa Collins (6x6).

Lucky In Love {TCPTues148}

Hi there!!  I'm here FINALLY with my TCP Tuesday Challenge #148!  Susan is our Hostess with the Mostess and she has given us the following challenge:  LET'S GET LUCKY Use any stamps from The Cat's Pajamas to wish someone good luck or for St. Patrick's Day.

I went the Lucky in Love route with a computer generated sentiment.  I used the adorable bear from Honey Bear.  He was colored with Copics, his belly was paper pieced.  He was cut out and popped up with foam tape.  I made the 4-leaf clover he's holding with a small heart punch.  I cut out four hearts, glued them to a round base, ran them through my Xyron Sticker maker and smooshed them into some green glitter.  The stem is my FAVORITE Divine Twine in Green Apple. (On a side note, TCP now offers Divine Twine in two sizes...the FULL SPOOL or the LITTLES) The glittered heart under the sentiment was made with the Cut Ups Heart Trio die (the smallest heart).  I glittered it up a bit, too and finished it with a button and some more of that DIVINE Divine Twine!  The sketch is March's Sketch For You To Try from Jen del Muro.  Love it!

There are FIVE more reasons to play along with TCP Tuesday and Alma has all of the DETAILS!!  Come on.....play with the Cat Pack for some awesome prizes!!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you all have a great Sunday!

TCP Sneaky Peek ~ Bear Hugs

Hi there!  It's day 6 of sneaky peek week over at The Cat's Pajamas and today I have a card to show you using the new adorable set, Bear Hugs!  I LOVE this set!  So let's get to it!

Isn't he cute?  I paired him with Jen del Muro's Sketch For You To Try for January, which is sponsored by The Cat's Pajamas.  This is a wonderful sketch!  I stamped the bear in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored him with Copics and paper pieced the heart.  He was popped up on foam tape and popped up for dimension. I used some of my favorite Aqua Divine Twine threaded through two buttons from my stash.  I ended up criss crossing the twine for a different look that I think looks pretty darn cool!  The paper is Sassafrass Lass Indie Girl.  Some machine stitching finishes it off!

A few of the other girls have some darling samples using Bear Hugs:

I hope you're able to join us for the release party tomorrow night at 7:00 pm EST in the TCP Forum on Splitcoaststampers!

Thanks for stopping by!

Verve Sneak Peek Day One!

This is my second post for today.  To see my Cat's Pajamas TCP Tuesday post, please scroll down!  Thank you!

This Friday, January 7, Verve is releasing some fabulous new sets and dies! To countdown to the release, we’re putting on a series of mini blog hops Tuesday through Thursday of this week to preview the new sets! And because a new release is something to celebrate, we’ve hidden a prize on one of the participating blogs each day! Just leave a little comment love as you hop around to be entered into a drawing to win that day’s featured stamps!  Deadline for comment entries is 6PM Mountain Friday, January 7. Winners will be announced at our release party on Friday night!

Today I have a sneak peek of a new set called Sweet Treats and the brand new AWESOME Classy Label Die and Embossed Oval Die!  I also want to warn you....I'm over the moon for this new Echo Park Be Mine patterned paper.  You will be seeing a lot of it this week!

I started my card with an older Sketch For You To Try from Jen del Muro.  I picked out all of the patterns from the Echo Park Be Mine DP and then got to stamping.  I stamped the beautiful frame from Sweet Treats in Charcoal Fluid Chalk Ink and then used the Classy Label Die to cut it out.  I stamped the sentiment in the same ink and then cut it out with the Embossed Oval Die, finishing the edges with some pink glitter.  It needed a little something, so I stamped a small heart from the set over the sentiment and colored it in with a Copic Marker.  After cutting all of my layers I finished some of them by machine stitching the edges.  A glittered rosette, some adhesive flourish gems and button and Divine Twine finish it off!

Verve Sneak Peek ~ Merry Wishes {SFYTT}

Hi there!  Welcome back to another day of Sneak Peeks from Verve!  Today the Verve Diva's are showing you sneak peeks of a wonderful new set called Merry Wishes and a new single stamp called Sweet Scallop Tag!  I have a sample using Merry Wishes, so let's get to it!

I started out today's card with Jen del Muro's Sketch For You To Try from last Saturday.  The dp is Good Cheer by October Afternoon.  The snowflakes were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored in with Copics and cut out.  I added a small button to the center of each and finished them off with some Rustic Jute Twine in Cream.  Merry Christmas was stamped in Dark Brown Fluid Chalk Ink, was cut out with Circle Nestabilities and was sponged with some Tea Dye Distress Ink while still in the die.  I layered it on a Pure Poppy Scallop Circle and layered it once more on a Labels 3 Nestability.  Some rounded corners with my Corner Chomper, twill ribbon and adhesive gems finish it off!

Don't forget to check out the rest of the Diva's and what they have cooked up for you today!  And don't forget to leave comments along the way for a chance to win!

TCP Peek ~ Witch Way To The Candy?

Hi there!  It's the final day of Sneaky Peek week over at the Cat's Pajamas and I finally get to show you my most favorite image from this whole release!(mind you, I love them all equally, but this particular image just melts my heart!)  It's this darling Witch from the new set, Witchy!   Isn't she Ca-Yute?

I paired her with some patterned paper from Papertrey called Halloween Prints.  And if you read my blog regularly and think this sketch looks like the same one I used yesterday, then you're right!  The sketch is Jen del Muro's SFYTT from LAST week.  I actually made this card first and then loved the sketch so much used it a second time yesterday!  The buttons were cut with the Cut Ups Button die (LOVE this die) and was threaded with some Orange Divine Twine.  The main image and main image circle are popped up with foam tape.

I even used this set for a Cat's Pajamas ATC swap that I am a part of!!  Made eight of these babies!  I hadn't made an ATC in a few years, so this was really fun!

For a list of who has peek's today, click here to get to Alma's blog!

The Pajama Party is tonight from 9:00 ~ 11:00 EST in the Cat's Pajamas Forum.  There will be prizes and surprises! You won't want to miss all the fun!  All 12 of the stamp sets peeked this week along with FOUR new Cut Ups dies will be available following the party!  I hope to see you there!

Thanks for stopping by!

Boo!

Hi there!!  I hope you're all having a great weekend!  We are having the MOST beautiful weather here today...mid 70's with a slight breeze!  Ahhhhh....

I got away for a little crafting time this afternoon and this card is the result!  I have been itching to make one of these medallions I've seen around in the blog world so today I gave it a shot!  Cute, huh?

I used the new just released set from Taylored Expressions called Hangin' Out ~ Wicked Wardrobe.  I love this little ghost!  The sketch last week's Sketch For You To Try from. I stamped the ghost in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Choice Snow White and cut him out.  All of the cardstock and some of the Echo Park Halloween DP is from the Fright Night Project Pantry Kit.  The Polka Dot and Purple Stripe patterns are also from Echo Park Halloween collection, but I purchased those two at my LSS.  This line of DP is just fantastic, IMO!   I cut the circles under the ghost with Circle Nestabilities.  The ghost is up on foam tape!

Thanks for stopping by!

Oh Nuts....It's Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks Day 2!

Hi there!!  Welcome back to day two of the Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks!

On the menu for today are the new Belated Birthday A la Carte stamps!  These stamps and sentiments were concepted by our own Jami Sibley and illustrated for the Apple Doodle Ink line!  There are seven different A la Carte stamps with coordinating sentiments.  The stamp I'm using today is called  Belated Birthday - Oh Nuts!  I can't wait for you to see it, so let's get started!

I told you it was so cute!!!  LOL!  I started with Jen del Muro's Sketch For You To Try for this week and pulled out some new Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather DP (not just for winter or Christmas!).  I stamped the adorable squirrel in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored him with Copic Markers.  I popped him up on foam tape on a Circle Nestability.  The smaller patterned circles were punched with a 1 3/4" circle punch and layered on a Circle Nestability.  The "Oh Nuts" sentiment was cut out witha Spellbinders Label Trio and while still in the die was sponged with red ink.  A button from my stash and some Farmer's Market Twine finish it off.  The second part of the sentiment is one long stamp.  I merely cut out each word separately and then popped it up on foam tape around the main image circle.  Some machine stitching and I called it done!

Now it's time to see what the Baker's Dozen has cooked up with today's stamps!

Thanks for stopping by!

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks ~ Day 2!

Hi there!  It's day two of the Taylored Expressions sneak peeks and today we have the CUTEST set to show you!  The set is called Tweet Hearts and was designed by the brilliant Nancy McKinney for the Whimsical Wishes line!  This set will be available for purchase tomorrow (Friday) morning at 8:00 am PST in the Taylored Expressions Store!

I told you it was cute!!  LOL!  I paired Tweet Hearts with a sketch by Jen del Muro.  The DP is October Afternoon Fly a Kite.  I stamped the branch from the set in Dark Chocolate ink and using my Stamp-a-ma-jig, stamped both of the birds.  I stamped the birds a second time, cut them out and popped them up for some dimension.  The main image was cut out with Classic Oval Nestabilities.  The buttons are from my stash.  I tied the top button with some Chocolate Farmers Market Twine.  A little machine stitching and some ribbon finish off the card!

Don't forget to see what the rest of the Baker's Dozen has cooked up with this set!

Let's Hang Out In Denim SFYTT

Hi there everyone! Happy Monday!  I don't know about any of you, but we are experiencing some HOT weather here in California!!  We were clost to 100 yesterday and are expecting a little cooler weather today but still in the low 90's.  We don't have air conditioning so my house is like an oven!    Can't wait until we get back to our normal 80's!

Anywho...I decided to stamp a bit this morning before the real heat set in!  I have been wanting to use the darling dress image from the Hangin' Out set from Taylored Expressions and thought it would be fun to stamp it on denim!  What do you think?  I gave it more of a country feel with the gingham sash and gingham ruffle.  I think it looks so cute!  The papers are a mix of October Afternoon Farm Fresh and Thrift Shop.  I love how you can combine the different paper packs and it still coordinates.  The sketch is this week's Sketch For You To Try from Jen del Muro.

I didn't leave enough room for the sentiment on the outside, so I decorated the inside!

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll be back with Mercy's Tuesday sketch at Midnight EST tonight!  This week's sketch is AWESOME!!  Have a great day!

Garden Party Blooms Gift Set plus SFYTT

Hi there everyone!  When Taylored Expressions had their release a couple weeks ago, I made a really cute Birthday Box with the new Garden Party Blooms set and said I would be back with a matching card......well.....here it is!

And here is the original box!

And here they are together!

Here are a few details:  The layout for the card is this week's Sketch For You To Try from Jen del Muro.  I used the new Garden Party Blooms set by Taylored Expressions.  All of the flowers were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a mixture of October Afternoon Fly a Kite and Thrift Shop DP, cut out and popped up for dimension.  I rounded all of the corners of the card with a Corner Chomper.  I just love how this set turned out!  Now I need to find someone to give it to!

Well, thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope you all have a great Sunday!

Lonely Without You SFYTT!

Hi there!!  I made a little time for myself in my little stamp area tonight so that I could participate in Jen del Muro's sketch this week!  I LOVE my Pure Innocence stamps from MFT but they do NOT ever see enough ink!  In fact, this adorable "My Balloon" image had never seen ink before tonight.  I know, GASP!

So if you read my blog then you all know that my oldest daughter left for Science camp earlier this week.  It really has been quiet around here and we all miss her like crazy, even her little sister!  She comes home tomorrow afternoon (Friday) and this card is going to her!  She loves that I make cards and swears that every card I make is her favorite!  I can't wait to see her!

Thank you for stopping by!  I always love it when you do!  Have a great Friday!
