Winter Storm, One World One Heart Winner and Digging Out!

Well, anyone who has been watching the weather here of late, knows that East Coast has been plagued with lots of SNOW! I'm so loving it. Now this is WINTER and we are getting more apparently later tonight! WHOOOHOOO!

No MILK TODAY! LOL

The One World One Heart Event ended last night at Midnight. As I'm packing and getting ready for a business trip that will take me away for at least 3 weeks, I had to draw the name of the WINNER of my One World One Heart Giveaway. Well...actually the computer did it and the the random number was 172...which is STEPHANIE from QUEEN OF DREAMSZ!

CONGRATS STEPHANIE ON WINNING IZZIE. I KNOW SHE WILL LOVE HER NEW HOME.

I would also like to thank all of you who visited me and played along with this wonderful event that Lisa put together for all of us.

Next year will be even bigger as the word will spread throughout blog land.

Looking forward to it next year.

In the meantime, continue to giggle, create and do what you love!

FIRST SNOW & ADO CHALLENGE

Yes, I got out of work early because it's SNOWING! Wanted to get home before the big rush out of the office and the traffic started...Well...Let's just say...I did make it home, but a few hours later! LOL

The First Snow Hits The Studio...

I love smelling the snow. It's like you can always know, because of that smell in air! Like when it rains, it has a distinct smell!

The snow turned to freezing rain, so the trees all have natural icicles on them! It's just so beautiful and I love sitting outside on the porch and listening to the branches crackling against the wind. We are getting another storm tonight, but this storm is going to be ALL SNOW! I will have to wake up early and get my snow angels in before anyone gets up and starts making their snowman!

In between watching the storm and having a very hot tottie, I started working on my ADO Challenge. These pictures are in the beginning stages and I'm sure this little guy will change many times over...that is why I love art... you just never know what you are going to end up with! Enjoy and I hope where ever you live, you are smelling the SNOW!

I'M IN ART DOLL QUARTERLY, WINTER 2009 ISSUE...HIP HIP HOORAY!

JUST AMAZING NEWS... I got home the other night and opened up a letter from Art Doll QUARTERLY and YES.....I'm in the WINTER 2009 ISSUE!

Needless to say I was jumping up and down and I couldn't stop say...oh my gosh, oh my gosh.... I'm in the magazine. My Eclectic Beings are making their appearance in the pages of this wonderful magazine. I can't wait to see the article and how they photographed my Eclectic Beings... Ebs... I hope you all run out and get your copy! Let me know what you think.

I've been so busy lately with my day job (Law). We are having construction done and the office painted, so I've been packing up the office for the past two weeks and now it's over...well...for the time being. Our office is closing for two days so hopefully during those two days I'll have off, I'll be able to spend all of that time in my studio. Here are some pictures of what I've been working on and toying with new techniques and some pics of my studio:

Canvas work that I've been playing with. I recently purchased Kelly Rae Roberts new book! She gives you and shows you numerous techniques which are absolutely wonderful. I love how these backgrounds are taking shape! The key is in the layers. Layers of papers, Layers of paint.... wait til you try it.... you'll love the effect it will give to your backgrounds!I would love to take one of her workshops! Kelly, you need to have a workshop over here on the EAST Coast!!!!! LOL

Here are some custom orders I'm working on for Christmas. Get your orders in soon.... Christmas will be here before you know it. Yesterday, Mt. Pocono got hit with 16 inches of snow...ALREADY...and it's not even November yet!

What's that on the T.V... could that be the Golden Girls?

I love working with Golden Products... my only wish is that they would bring down their prices a bit! LOL

I moved my Eb tree into my studio. My beautiful and talented sister-in-law made this for me on day that I really needed cheering up! God Bless Her! I'm very lucky to have a sister-in-law that I adore! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.... I'm finishing up here at work...hehehe, and heading home to be in my studio for the next 4 days... I sure hope my husband sends some food under the door for me! LOL

Before I leave...I also just found out that Christine from dubuhdudesigns.typepad.com is in Art Doll Quarterly as well.... here is view of her amazing dolls and article...I'm hoping that I am able to get one of her dolls as my Christmas present...when she puts them in her esty shop...you have to be fast! Congrats.... CHRISTINE!
