Jesus, Mary and Spock?

Have you ever just known that you where going to have a bad day as soon as you opened your eyes in the morning?

Well this was one of those days for me.

As soon as I opened my eyes I turned my head and hit it against my night stand with that motion knocking my glasses and phone on the floor.  Ouch.

Denim Vintage

I was kindly asked to be part of a Denim project started off by my oh so gorgeous friend and fellow blogger Nefferth over at Mode Plus. Needless to say I was super stoked about being part of it! She had 5 bloggers pick 5 different themes to portray their denim-ness in, those themes where: Classic, Rock, Chic, Glam, and Vintage.  With all of those awesome themes it was hard to choose.

I chose the vintage look because vintage done well IS timeless! which I did try to achieve but I really don't give myself the credit of achieving that! But I gave it a shot nontheless. And thanks to my good friend Borjana and her amazing mom for gifting me the rad pink headband which her mom made for us! :D Thanks!

Now, this look reminds me of two great eras in our vintage fashion history.  It has a 60's flare to it, a little pin up style even, yet it has that late 80's early 90's feel to it aswell, back when all the music videos where set in denim jackets and or whole denim outfits :D

It also reminds me of cool summer nights and flower fields for some reason.  Probably beacause of the music videos again! :D damn that MTV! it brainwashed me! good thing they don't play music videos anymore in that case.

Dinner Date

Went out for a Dinner date a few weeks ago with Phil.  I wore this black dress with the zippers on the sides of the arms and in the front.  I absolutely love the design of this dress.  The wide half sleeves, the zippers the waistband super sassy. It makes me feel really cool like I wanna rock out in it beth ditto style.  I actually wore this with my overknee boots but I couldn't find them anywhere while taking the pictures so I just took any shoes that where laying around. (I recently moved to a new place so a lot of stuff is still unpacked in boxes stashed in the basement and all over the place.) Later I finally found them but was running late and couldn't take a retake. Just by my luck the zipper on the boots broke the next day so they ended up in the trash anyway! :-// But the night was really fun we ate some good food,drank some delicious cocktails all in good conversation :).
